Did everyone check out CJ Osborne's special Unsanctioned supercard? I hope so, because it was a rousing success with several huge matches. The latest in the Gabriel Gambino / Kevin Hardaway saga, Jonathan Collins teaming with Andreas Lasiewicz and Jessica Lasiewicz to take on Any Given Sundae and Santa Claus, CJ Osborne vs LJ Black, Pat Gordon Jr vs Tim Worthington, perhaps the final ever chapter in Steve Pinex vs Kacy Knight, and that's just the start.
My own character Laurel Anne Hardy was in action too, against one Katsutoshi di Limones, over a brand new title to the efedding world: The IGNITE 24/7 Extreme Championship.
The what?
The IGNITE 24/7 Extreme Championship.
Maybe I should explain.
The IGNITE 24/7 Extreme Championship is an interfed title I've been intending to bring into the fedverse for a while, and it is this: a hardcore title contested under 24/7 rules, inspired by the Dramatic Dream Team Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship, itself a tribute to / parody of the WWF Hardcore Championship. The DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship is now in its 13th year, with its 1000th reign expected to happen some time before 2013 is out. In addition to various joshi and puro greats, the title has also been held by a referee, a TV presenter, a porn star, various children, a dog, a monkey, a ladder, a chair, a drawing, some food, a ringside mat, various dolls, and a poster. It's changed hands via auction, and it once changed hands over 300 times in one day.
The IGNITE 24/7 Extreme Championship is also this: the last remnant of a short-lived puro fed named IGNITE; a few of its stars turned up in Pro Wrestling FRONTLINE some time later including Yuji Shibata, BIFU, BYAKURAI! and Katsutoshi di Limones. The owner of IGNITE is now long departed from the world of fedding, but he gave me his blessing to take the title and do with it as I saw fit.
The IGNITE 24/7 Extreme Championship is each of the following: a source of comedy shenanigans; an excuse for random acts of brutality; an easy way of padding out a thin card with an impromptu bonus match, a macguffin to employ in feud-building; probably other stuff as well.
Most importantly, The IGNITE 24/7 Extreme Championship is this: interfed. Let's say it leaves a FRONTIER show in the care of Alexander StarrZoe, who takes it to his next WARPED appointment. At WARPED, it ends up in the possession of Anton Chase, who brings it to an FGA show. There, it gets won by Jonathan Collins. When Jonathan's next at an EXODUS show, it passes back and forth between LEGION and the EXODUS seikigun before ending up in the hands of Heather Halliwell, who takes it with her to Platinum Dynasty Wrestling, where... oh, you got it a while back? Cool. Sorry. Kinda got carried away there. Disclaimer, all those names were for illustrative purposes only, and were pulled off the top of my head as examples of characters on multiple feds.
I'm open to pretty much any ideas involving the title and I'm not really expecting it be RP'd for - rules of cool and funny win out on any ideas involving it. So if you have any ideas or otherwise want to get involved lemme know! Those of you who follow FRONTIER might have noticed that at the second anniversary show, Katsutoshi will be defending it against Laurel - however, that doesn't mean that one of them has to leave that night with the title
My only two things of SRSBZNS here are 1) not every single idea I receive will necessarily come to pass, as I don't want to hog shows with this or cause headaches for fedheads, and 2) if you take the title to another fed, please let me know so I can keep track of it, and work with handlers and fedheads if need be.
I'll be tracking the title changes here.
