My thoughts, in summary form.
- Good match between Strike and Uchikawa to open the show. Very Japanese in execution, a good way to give both guys on opposite ends of the card something to do. Well, Japanese in execution minus Papa, anyway...
- SHOOT goes 1-1 on the evening, with Jaime ending up getting the spot after some shenanigans from our favorite Preacher. Nice way to cover up what I imagine is OOC stuff with Stein's handler and the like (with CONTINUITY~!, no less), and gets more heat on Mr. Matthews, not that this is really a concern or anything. Good to see Jaime sticking around, too, and we'll see what he's got in Block A.
- Savannah and Abby both win their contests, and both look interesting in the Honor Cup - especially Park with her history (albeit one, but still!) of good tournament performances in E-PRO.
- Riley's got as good a chance as anyone in Block B after winning his qualifier, really.
- I like Kira a lot, actually, and he should have fun in the Honor Cup format. One of G&M in the tournament.
- Turning point for Jerry Matthews here, IMO. He's been a "wrestling" heel for most of my tenure here -- the attack on Collins here crosses the lines from "wrestling" to "life" in a sense, which seems to be how most heels (either IRL or in eW) get their heat. I'll miss the old Matthews a bit, honestly, but there are few in the company as good as Jerry is. And hey, he took out Collins!
- Big win for Anna. Welcome to EXODUS! You get a tournament!
- TROUBLE/Turks worked out very interestingly, but I think more or less accurately. The Turks win the falls for pride and Honor Cup qualification, but Lenton and Wulf get themselves the EXODUS Pro Tag Team Championships, which IMO is where they should be. The singles division should be afraid as SalTal and Andreas are now loosed upon all of us. God help us all.
- COLOSSAL win for Sands, even if it means poor Blake's stuck writing two RPs a week for a month plus now. xD Beating a former world champ is no joke. Arguably on paper the biggest upset of the tournament so far.
- Honestly? Not a huge fan of the implied potential SalTal/Fiona/Collins love triangle. What I AM a big fan of, though, is that this is going to eventually lead to Sally and Fiona throwing down in their block in what could be a de facto tournament final.
- They're smiling in R'yleh tonight! Big win for the detective in his first E-Pro match. He, like Molly, gets welcomed with a tournament.
- Hoping Allen enjoyed our match. Looking forward to the tournament.
- Three Godfathers of Wrestling in the tournament with GG's victory. Gotta say the odds are with them to place at least one (possibly/probably Andreas) in the semis.
- V1 for Blake ensures that yes, he is stuck writing two RPs forever. Sucks to be him.
Seriously though, defending titles is never a guarantee around here, and he put up a good showing and now gets into what should be a very competitive Block B.
- Huge rebound from the Autumn Effect for Zack Lifer, as he gets himself a nice shiny title for his troubles. Props too to Johnny Cannon for all he's done for EXODUS. Also liked the Lifer/McHannon interplay in one of the proceeding segments. Those two obviously have history.
- Rourke advances, as most expected, but seeing Kira with the run-in was nice here, I thought. Good to know G&M is still keeping its eyes on one of its primary targets.
- Ye Olde No Contest caps off the evening, as more or less was guaranteed by McHannon/Matthews becoming Zero's V1. The clusterfuck to cap the contest was fun.
- Oh God. The ending. We are all fucked.
