Character Info
Name: Piper Fury
Height: 6'2”
Weight: 210
Hometown: Los Angeles, California
Alignment: -2. While Piper's not one to deliberately make people hate her, she doesn't go out of her way to make them love her, either. In Piper's eyes, the fans aren't there in the ring, they don't have her back, so she's not going to waste her time pandering to them when there's business to attend to.
Entrance Music: “Six Times Dead (16.6)” by Primal Fear www.youtube.com/watch?v=7x5TyW_cGNw
Entrance Description: Static erupts from the PA system briefly before a chant comes over the speakers...
”Sixteen...sixteen...sixteen six..."
The thunderous opening, almost tribal strains of “Six Times Dead (16.6)” boom over the speakers as Piper Fury emerges from the back, a scowl on her face, her eyes narrowed. She has Precious in her right hand, the vicious weapon resting on her shoulder. She gazes out at the crowd and slowly centers her eyes on the ring. As the powerful drum beat turns into the monstrous rhythmic riff, Piper begins making her way down the ramp. She pauses at ringside and points Precious at her opponent in the ring before cracking a slight smile and resting the weapon against the timekeeper's table. She removes her leather vest and drapes it over Precious, sliding into the ring and quickly getting to her feet as she waits for the opening bell.
Physical Appearance: Tall, muscular, yet not overly so. She'll never be mistaken for a Barbie doll diva.
Ring Attire: Red sleeveless leather vest, black tank top, black leather pants, matching boots and red fingerless fighting gloves. And she never comes to the ring without Precious- her weapon of choice. Best way to describe it would be to call it the offspring of a kendo stick and a kanabo. Looks vicious, does plenty of damage when it hits someone.
Gimmick: Long-time practitioner of Muay Thai with some dabblings into Brazilian jiu-jitsu and sambo, parlayed into a career in cagefighting and professional wrestling.
Personality: Piper wrestles with a chip on her shoulder. She's very distrusting and after the death of her mentor, her moral center is slightly skewed. There is still some morality there, but get her mad and you'll see her nasty side come out. Really piss her off and you might be getting a very unfriendly introduction to Precious.
List up to three strengths of your character; they can be in-ring related, personality related, whatever you think helps define your character:
1. Her time spent in the cages has given her a heightened sense of resilience and tolerance to pain, in addition to a much more honed killer instinct. Her years in wrestling taught her the tactical side of things.
2. Spending her teenage years training studiously in Muay Thai has taught her a strong sense of discipline and precision.
3. Her biggest strength would have to be her almost-freakish size. She's definitely not built like the average female, and the term “weaker sex” definitely does not apply with Piper Fury. Strong plus agile equals dangerous.
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. After the passing of her mentor, her moral center has become somewhat distorted. She can be quick to anger, and that can sometimes lead to a break in concentration or a fatal miscalculation.
2. She's highly distrustful of just about anyone. Making her an ally is a challenge very few have been able to conquer.
3. When she gets going, especially against someone she really has a deep dislike for, she will push the envelope and has quite often flirted with disqualification.
Biography: The streets of Los Angeles can be a dangerous place. Travel away from all the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, and you find the epitome of the term “concrete jungle”. It's no place for a teenager. But at the young age of twelve, that's where Piper Fury found herself. A product of a broken household with a mother who abandoned her family to join a religious cult and a father who blew his brains out in an alcoholic stupor, it didn't take long for her to develop an attitude- and a reputation.
But one rainy afternoon changed everything.
All she wanted was shelter from the downpour. Maybe it was fate that brought her into the Red Dragon Dojo. Whatever the reason, Kru Somchai saw something in the tall, blonde teenager with the defiant attitude. And he spent the next ten years developing his vision and turning a streetwise teenager into something much more- a bona fide human weapon. She was a natural. She had the fighting instinct, and he had the knowledge in the art of Muay Thai. She was eager to learn, and he was more than willing to teach her. She would become his star pupil. Whether it be in the Los Angeles dojo or in the training camps of the Thai jungle, she soaked up the knowledge like a sponge.
But it wasn't enough. She wanted more. And it didn't take long before a chance encounter on the beach would turn into a career in the wrestling ring. Piper quickly found she could easily balance the rigors of professional wrestling with a growing reputation in the underground cage circuit.
However, for so long she has been a nomad. Wandering without a place to call home. Whether it be Las Vegas, Memphis or New York, she never felt like she belonged. Now she has come back to California- the place where it all started.
The Human Weapon has come home. And she hasn't come back alone....
Wrestling Style: Muay Thai-influenced offense with a powerhouse wrestling skill set. Knowledgeable in Brazilian jiu-jitsu submissions, but she prefers the knockout to the tapout.
