In EXODUS Pro, we take pride in being completely transparent with results. We are a roleplay-based fed, meaning the best writers will almost always find themselves on the winning end. To that point, this thread outlines, the EXODUS Pro Scoring Rubric.
All E-Pro TV and Supercard roleplays are scored using this sheet, by three judges. The competitor (or competing team) in each match that achieves the highest average between all three judges will be declared the winner. Each month's rankings are determined by taking a competitor's scores from that month's shows and averaging them together, with a minor adjustment for current storylines.
The Rubric consists of 50 points, spread over the following categories:
Grammar (5 Points) - While completely perfect grammar will result in 5 full points, this is a largely mechanical score. Minor errors throughout a roleplay will result in a couple of points being taken off, as long as the result is still readable. Major errors will result in lower scores.
Match Focus (15 Points) - This should be a key portion of the roleplay; does it mention and spend time on your match and your opponent on the upcoming show or shows? If you already know that you're facing Wrestler X at the upcoming supercard, you won't be marked off for spending some time talking about your match with Wrestler X, even if your match with The Bonecrusher is on this week's E-Pro TV. However, going "off record," talking about people you're not associated with in any way, will see points taken off of this score.
Story Focus (10 Points) - Does your character have a life outside of wrestling? It's not vital, but writing a roleplay that splits time between your character's wrestling career and something going on outside of it not only adds depth to your character for the reader, but helps you have something more to write about than just your upcoming match against The Bonecrusher. Not required, but points here can help put you over the top of someone who doesn't spend time on character development.
Storyline Development (10 Points) - This differs from the "Story Focus" category, but still ties into it in a way. This category focuses on your development of storylines within EXODUS Pro. While matches and segments are great ways to develop a storyline with another competitor, including developments in your roleplays is another fantastic way to do that. It also helps bridge the gap between our shows, which are bi-weekly. Maybe it's not something groundbreaking between the people feuding, but it's important to keep the story alive, or else your competitor comes off looking like he's operating in a "bubble" outside of E-Pro.
Intangibles (10 Points) - Let's face it. Certain roleplays have that x-factor that make you want to see that person win. They make you believe in things, or they have a certain magic about them that can't be duplicated. That being said, this category is for that certain je ne sais pas that can't be quantified in any other category. It could be just that you make the judges believe you should win, it could be something else completely. The bottom line is that it's just those little things that enhance your rp and give us the warm fuzzies.
