Character Info
Name: Sugata Hotaru
Height: Five-foot-eleven (5’11”)
Weight: One hundred and ninety-two pounds (192 lbs)
Hometown: Harajuku district in Tokyo, Japan
Alignment: +1 – STRONG female fan base from career as a Japanese pop star and some semblance of respect from die-hards as a second gen wrestler…but the J-Pop thing still makes people a wee bit iffy on the guy. Not to mention, his general dislike for most wrestlers, mainly thanks to them reminding him either too much of his own mother or any of her foes.
Entrance Music: “Orpheus” by Mamoru Miyano
Entrance Description:
Physical Appearance: BxB Hulk
Ring Attire: Basic attire below, usually done in shades of blue, black and white – although the colors will change very, VERY OFTEN if necessary for grand performances, etc!
Gimmick: Japanese pop star turned wrestler after beingforced convinced into it by his recording label, all under the guise of “expanding” their brand and eventually becoming international stars
Personality: Considered to be the serious one of the pair known as “The Galactic Pretty Boys,” Sugata wasn’t exactly looking at professional wrestling as a career, given the fact he’d have been in the shadow of his great and mighty mother (otherwise known as “The Great Hotaru,” one of the greatest joshi wrestlers to step foot into a squared circle) and with a love for music and instruments, he decided to try his luck at it and was scouted by a big shot talent agency. Sugata’s rather gullible, a bit of a pushover (years of being bossed around causing him to think it better off to go with the flow than to try to fight it) and someone who trusts others a little too easily but at the same time, his work ethic pushes him to continue doing his best, be it in his performances or even inside the ring if it means getting his music to the stage where he wants it to be.
List up to three strengths of your character; they can be in-ring related, personality related, whatever you think helps define your character:
1. Agility – good fucking grief, he’s got tons of it…AND HE DIDN’T EVEN HAVE TO GO TO FUCKING MEXICO! Be it pure speed running the ropes, dodging attacks at the last second and countering in spectacular fashion, Sugata can do this thing!
2. Charisma – while he hasn’t been given the proper platform to do it on an international basis, his performances on stage and even inside the ring have managed to do a little razzle dazzle upon those who watch him.
3. Wrestling Pedigree – his mother, The Great Hotaru, was one of the greatest joshi wrestlers to step foot in a squared circle…some of that talent he’s managed to show flashes of in a relatively young career can be somewhat related to his second-generation roots.
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. Rookie – he makes rookie mistakes. No, seriously. It’s bad. He gon learn!
2. Pushover – it’s how he ended up in this whole pro wrestling mess, it’s more than likely how he’s going to end up goaded into doing something stupid that’ll lead him to get his ass kicked
3. Professional Wrestling – since birth, that’s been a big part of his life…and thanks to a mother who became consumed by becoming so good at it that she demanded it out of her children, Sugata’s grown to dislike the sport and everything associated with it…although he keeps that part to himself in order to not cause more trouble that could lead to his label actually dropping him for good.
Athletic Background: Years and years of dancing and gymnastics
Biography: Sugata’s the second child of “The Great Hotaru,” a famous joshi wrestler who is a legend in the Land of the Rising Sun. During his youth, he grew under her stern household and rules, eventually coming to develop a strong dislike for professional wrestling and just about anyone associated with it. He found a love for music, dancing and the fame that seemed to follow some of the pop bands and idols that roamed the scene to the point where he became interested in that aspect. He was scouted by a talent agency from StarHeart Enterprises by pure luck after being caught dancing on his way back home, decided to take on it (this being the only time he ever stood up to his mother…which got him kicked out, of course) and by eventual, even dumber luck, he was paired up with Takuto Shindo and the two were christened the “Galactic Pretty Boys.” Shortly after their debut on national television, there was a change in management at their record label and the new ownership…wasn’t so keen on the genre of J-Pop or the two young men as a whole, but couldn’t cut them away given they had contracts. So, in order to try and get them to quit, ownership decided that as a duo, they’d have even BIGGER appeal if they were trained as a wrestlers and also promoted their music while doing so. Once being trained rigorously (and realizing that they weren’t quitting), the new management decided to try their hands at sending the boys on an “international excursion” to “develop an international fan base in the land of opportunity,” sending them off to California and hoping to the Gods that they would eventually quit if pushed hard enough. With the assistance of Firefly Talents in the United States, ran by Sugata’s big sister Mai Hotaru, the Galactic Pretty Boys now find themselves at the doors of (R)Evolution Wrestling…not being one hundred percent sure what to expect.

Entrance Music: “Orpheus” by Mamoru Miyano
Entrance Description:
The lights in the entire arena slowly fade away, streams of different colored lights beginning to swirl across the entire arena before the spotlight shines on the center stage and the ramp, as the thirty-five second mark of “Orpheus” by Mamoru Miyano hits the PA system in full blast, revealing two men with their backs to the cameras, dancing and singing accordingly to the beginning of the music before they turn around, revealing themselves to be the Galactic Pretty Boys – cue screaming fangirls as the two begin to sing.
Sing your song hanaretete mo wakaru yo
Hear my wind tsunagatteiru sora wa hitotsu…
kagirinai Brand-new sky bokura wa hitori ja nai kara
haruka na kimi no RABU SONGU habataite
shinjiyou Shiny days futari no zettaiteki na "Ai no Heart chain"…
At this point, the two of them are near the apron and with a nod, they begin to sing the chorus to their heart’s content as they take on a run, leaping from the floor onto the second rope in an impressive display of athleticism to the crowd watching…
We'll have an innocent dream. Feel me, touch me.
kono kodou ga mirai dakara sou, yoake wo matsu sekai e...
hibike Orpheus heart!!!
They springboard from the second rope to the inside of the ring, before taking center stage as the spotlight shines on them, finishing off their dance with a pose where Sugata has his right hand raised in the air triumphantly while Takuto is split-legged in front of him, posing with a sheepish smile on his face as the girls scream along with a few bits of heckling. The two break their pose and Takuto pats Sugata across the back, wishing him luck as he exits the ring while Sugata leans near the turnbuckle, preparing himself for this match.
