(R)EVOLUTION WRESTLING TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
THE LAWSONS (STEPHEN & NATHAN LAWSON) vs. RUSH HOUR (BLACK JONES & HAGANE 'DUKE' TOGO)
Darrin Stearns: What a great show it has been!
Minoru Asano: Yeah, it has. You know how great it has been?
Darrin Stearns: How great has it been, Minoru?
Minoru Asano: It’s so great that I’ve barely drank!
Darrin Stearns: You just drank whole bottle of wine for that last match. You’re up to 4.
Minoru Asano: YEAH, THAT’S TOTALLY LESS THAN I USUALLY DRINK.
David Zinkus: The following contest is your main event of the night and it is for the (R)Evolution Wrestling Tag Team championships!
“See You At The Top” by City Lights plays as the Lawson brothers, Stephen and Nate, step through the curtains and out onto the stage. Nate flashes off a bit to the audience, while Stephen makes his way to the ring first. Stephen is the first to the ring, heading up the steel steps, but Nate isn’t too far behind. When both brothers are in the ring, they head over to the corner and prepare.
David Zinkus: Introducing first, from Nashville, Tennessee; NATE AND STEPHEN LAWSON!
The gym's sound system starts up with the legendary theme of "Kaze-wa Mirai-nu Fuku." You see Togo coming out with his red sleeveless robe. He stands at the entrance and looks towards the audience, soaking it all in.
aoi sora no shita de
kaze wa mirai ni fuku

ashiato dake wo nokoshite
hoho wo naderu kuuki to nekorobu kusa ga areba

michitarita egao deHe pulls himself up and vaults himself in the ring. He nods over to the referee and slowly takes his robe off, tossing it off to the ringside help.
David Zinkus: And their opponent, he is one half of Rush Hour, DUKE TOGO!
The gymnasium lights somewhat dim, causing the crowd to get restless in anticipation. Finally, "Braveheart" by Lupe Fiasco hits the speakers, starting as a slow electronic noise until the drums and bass kick in. The audience turns their attention to the entryway where the curtains dividing the ringside and the backstage area are suddenly thrown back as the superstar behind the music emerges.
May the Lord have mercy on my soul
Forgive me for my fetishes, my purchases, my clothes
Allow me to catch my rhythm so the nervousness just goes
That's why I sound so certain in my verses and my flows
The verbiage just gets merciless, the wordsmithness just rolls.Black Jones scans over the audience while he stands draped in a hoodie vest with "Half Man- Half Amazing" written on the back before taking a deep breath; his eyes continue to survey the crowd until he suddenly begins to bounce around in place, making dodging movements as if he were fighting an imaginary opponent, a smile lining across his face.
David Zinkus: On his way to the ring, from West Philadelphia, PA, weighing in at two hundred and ten pounds... BLACK! JONESSSSSS!
I've tuned into my pertinence, my purposes, my goals
The feeling when you realize you've been working for your foes
And the curtains have just opened and they worthlessness exposed
You remember where you've came from, where the purses was stole
There was nothing in the oven and just work up on the stove
And you blossomed from the bottom, yeah, you worked with it and rose
From nothing to a dozen and a garden now there grows. Tell em!Jones makes his way down the aisle with a steady march. His eyes remain focused and in front of him as he reaches ringside, "Braveheart" continues to blare through the speakers. BJ knees up onto the apron, quickly pulling on the top ring cable before using the elasticity of the ropes to propell himself off the apron and into the air. He somersaults into the ring, immediately exploiting the momentum into a roll before springing to a stand to excite the crowd with his athleticism and exuberance.
Courage under fire, gave me a brave heart (That's me)
Courage under fire, gave me a brave heart
(Yessir) Brave heart
(Yeah I got that) Brave heart
(You know) Brave heart!Jones removes his vest, throwing it over the ropes before backing into the nearest corner. With his tune coming to an end, he strokes his fingers on his chin before cracking his knuckles and preparing for war.
DING! DING! DING!Darrin Stearns: And the bell has rung, meaning that when we hear that bell ring again, it’ll be the end of the match and new tag team champions!
Minoru Asano: AND THEN WE CAN GO OUT AND DRINK TO THE VICTORY!
Duke Togo and Stephen Lawson are the first two men to start the match. Both of them have a brief handshake before pulling away and slowly circling the ring, The two men lock up and Duke quickly puts Stephen in a headlock. Stephen, knowing that breaking through this is going to take a while and he can’t afford to waste that time, uses his body to push into Duke’s body towards the nearby ropes. Stephen then irish whips Duke towards the opposite ropes, breaking the lock. When Duke bounces back, Stephen arches his back, looking to go for some sort of maneuver, but Duke catches him with a kick to the face, forcing him to stand upright again, before dropping him with a dropkick to the chest.
Darrin Stearns: Very good dropkick.
Minoru Asano: HOW ABOUT WE PLAY A GAME?! WE TAKE A SHOT FOR EVERY WRESTLING MANEUVER WE SEE PERFORMED SUCCESSFULLY!
Darrin Stearns: Dear Lord...
Duke quickly gets a hold of Stephen and pulls him to the corner, where he tags in Black Jones. The audience gives Black a nice pop as he enters the ring and begins stomping away at Stephen. Not wanting to waste this opportunity of wearing down one of the Lawson brothers, Black grabs Stephen by the head and goes to lift him up...only for the injuries he still has forcing him to drop Stephen Lawson right back down. Stephen quickly hits a spinning heel kick on Black, knocking him down long enough for Stephen to crawl over and tag Nate Lawson to a lot of female cheers. Black slowly gets to his feet and is met with three quick knife-edge chops to the chest, sending Black to go up against the ropes. Nate irish whips Black and waits for him to come bouncing off the ropes before Black is met with a running shoulderblock that knocks him down. The females give a positive reaction while the rest give a negative one as Nate tries to go for the first pin of the night here.
ONE!
TW-KICKOUT!Nate shakes his head as he gets up to both feet and brings Black up to both feet as well. Nate goes to irish whip Black, but instead, he decides to reverse it and lift Black up before dropping him back first onto the mat with a thud. Nate drops an elbow on Black and grabs him by the arm before dragging him over to his corner, where he tags in his brother, Stephen. Stephen tells Nate to let Black go and heads straight to the top while Black rolls over on all fours. Stephen climbs to the top turnbuckle of his corner, waiting for Black to his feet. Once Black does, Stephen drills him with a missile dropkick square to the chest! Black seems to be out cold, but has somehow managed to roll towards Duke, who tags himself in!
Darrin Stearns: And we are right back to where we started!
Minoru Asano: YAY! Take another drink!
Duke comes charging in and takes Stephen down with a lariat, but Stephen does not stay down for long. Instead, he gets right back up to his feet, surprising Duke. Duke goes for another lariat, but Stephen ducks it, and rolls Duke right up!

KICKOUT!Both men quickly scramble to their feet, but Duke connects with a kick to the midsection. Duke then hooks Stephen’s head and plants him right onto the mat with a DDT. The audience is clearly mixed with their cheering and booing in this match. Duke drags Stephen by his head over to a near corner and sets his head down there before climbing his friendly turnbuckle to the left of the corner where Stephen is at. Once Duke reaches the top, a seemingly rejuvenated Stephen charges in and grabs him before throwing him right off of the top rope, onto the mat back first. Stephen instead opts to climb the turnbuckle and does so while Duke is still laid out before leaping off and connecting with Red Light! The audience can’t help but applaud the move as Stephen goes for the cover!

TH-BROKEN UP BY BLACK JONES!Darrin Stearns: Very close call for Rush Hour there.
Minoru Asano: I LOVE DRINKING!
Darrin Stearns: We know.
Black quickly heads back to the corner and nods his head at the referee’s yelling, telling him it won’t happen again. Stephen drags Duke over to his corner and tags in Nate, who smirks as he enters the ring. Nate slowly stomps away at Duke before grabbing him by the head and getting him to a knee and delivering a headbutt that forces Duke to crumple to the mat. Nate slowly lifts up Duke again and places his head between his legs before lifting him up into a powerbomb position, only when he plants him, he does a little sitout that strengthens the impact. But, instead of going for the pin, Nate quickly rolls to his feet and awaits for Duke to shake off the attack he has suffered the past couple of minutes here.
Darrin Stearns: What is Nate Lawson planning here?
Minoru Asano: ANOTHER WRESTLING MANEUVER? DRINK!
Duke slowly rises up to both feet, but once he does and lets go of the nearby ropes he used to help himself get up to both feet. He stumbles forward and this allows Nate to send Duke high in the air before grabbing him in a powerbomb position and planting him with the “Ally-OOP Bomb” before going for the cover!

TH-KICKOUT!Nate slowly sighs as he gets up to both feet and looks down at Duke. He goes to grab one half of Rush Hour by the hair, but Duke Togo has other plans as he manages to get Nate caught in a rollup pin!

KICKOUT!Nate is quick to get to his feet and hits Duke right in the midsection before he attempts a suplex...only for Duke to land on his feet right behind Nate. Nate quickly turns around and is met with a dropkick that sends him stumbling into his corner. Stephen tags himself in and Blake does the same, the audience erupting as the two men charge forward and knock each other down with a clothesline from both men. Stephen is the first to his feet and he attempts an arm drag, but Black quickly reverses it as he shoves Stephen off, then spins around and rocks his jaw with the bionic elbow! Stephen is down and Black is leaning up against the ropes as the match seems to be reaching its final moments. Black grabs Stephen up to both feet and irish whips him into one of the nearest corners before driving both of his knees into Stephen’s chest, followed by a rolling snapmare, and finished it with a shoot kick, connecting with Immortal Technique!
Black tries to go for the cover, but notices Nate Lawson entering the ring and charging right at him. Black runs to the near ropes, pulls on the top rope and ducks, sending Nate flying out of the ring. A recovered Duke Togo uses his entire body and launches himself from the apron onto Nate Lawson, taking both men out. Stephen, knowing at least where he is, grabs Black while he isn’t looking and goes for a pin attempt, but it does not work. Both men get to their feet and Black catches Stephen with a Corona Kick before letting out a roar, telling the audience that he wants to end this now. Black grabs Stephen and nods his head out to the audience before lifting him up and flipping him in the air, then dropping him with Black Magic to a huge pop from the audience as he goes for the cover!
Darrin Stearns: Black Magic connects! This could be it!
