There is a difference in the air of this (R)evolution Pro event from the start the crowd is chanting and cheering for Jon Collins, already climbing between the ropes as his theme "Last Man Standing" is playing. He looks around, waving up the fans encouraging them to let out the air as the chant on his name.
COLLINS! COLLINS! COLLINS!
He smiles, finally taking his microphone up as the crowd simmers down to claps and whistles.
Jon Collins: Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to our 5th (R)Evolution Pro show!
The crowd surges back up momentarily into cheers before simmering back.
Jon Collins: Tonight is our historic night here. Our talent has risen up, and they've fought hard to climb the mountain we put in front of them. And now after the good fight was done, the dust is finally settled. And we now finally have our first ever (R)Evolution Pro Champion!
There is a fervor in the crowd, they are eager to cheer but are apprehensive mid speech.
Jon Collins: And without any further a due, let us welcome that winner of ours. The one who scratched and clawed his way to the top. The self professed first success of this production. Give it all you've got for our Historic Champion! Brando Martial!
The crowd's cheers surge up as his theme "The Hand that Feeds" begins to play. The Champion comes through the curtain. Brando Martial holds the (R)Evolution Pro title overhead as he waltzes through the aisle to the ringside area. He marches around the ring, proudly displaying the newly minted title to the applauding crowd as Jon Collins himself sets his microphone aside and offers him a hand.
The crowd makes it clear they saw how he won, but nonetheless fans cheer on without a care as he ascends the steps and makes his way through the ropes, confidently shouldering his gold as he thanks Mr. Collins for offering him a microphone. The two shake hands, smile politely to each other and square off as they wait for the crowd to die down again.
Jon Collins: Brando. Once again, congratulations. You made quite the impression all the way up the ladder, and ultimately showed everyone what you were made of as your hand was the last one raised. I'm beyond impressed.
Brando Martial: Thank you sir, I'm always glad to leave an impression. As I plan to do as this is my first time with a live mic, this will be a time I assure you all will remember in time.
Jon smiles and gives a nod of acknowledgement as he let's Brando take it in, stepping back.
Brando Martial: I know I'll remember it. Among all the moments I'm sure to make. I assure you sir, that you'll only be more surprised with what I can do. Not only to you, Mr. Collins sir, but to all of you. I am sure that you'll have not ever seen a competitor quite like me in this business.
Jon steps in at last.
Jon Collins: Brando. I admire that level of confidence, and look forward to you living up to it. Because I can tell you're definitely the kind of guy who truly means what he claims. You don't have to do with the sirs, and the Mr. Collins stuff... But I can honestly say that even though I've seen many guys like you through the curtain in my time that you do have that certain something to you. And something tells me I'll have to keep a good eye out for you as you show it.
Brando Martial: Yes indeed you should, sir- I can't help but say that. That's just where I come from. But it all is just dressing to the truth. The truth is I plan on holding onto this belt for a long while. I plan on my reign being more historic than simply being the first of a long succession. I plan on being the foremost name, the standard bearer to this place. By the time I'm done here, everyone will be looking up to me as the bar to reach for and as the example to follow. When I'm making my way up Exodus I will have made it so everyone here will be compared to and aspiring to my heights.
Jon Collins: Yes. I'm sure that you'll lead a strong example for everyone by the time you reach Exodus. Whenever that may be.
Brando paused, seeming shot by that statement.
Brando Martial: Whenever that may be? ...Yes. Whenever I am called up for it I will surely have made my mark.
Jon Collins: Yes. Whenever you've made that mark Brando. It will be easily decided that you are the next big thing of Exodus.
Brando Martial: Most certainly. And I have absolute faith in the fact that it is going to be a very fast and hard sequence of events. I hope you'll keep up with it all as it surely will be the best part of every show.
Jon Collins: I have no doubts with that. Because you are one of the better talents we have here, and I'm sure your peers will agree that all of those moments you make are going to be hard to forget. Just remember this one thing about our business, Brando. Because this fact is something everyone should remember who holds the gold: Everyone who you pass on your way up, is someone you'll see on your way back down. That's the law of the jungle in wrestling. And if you remember that and live by it. You'll land softer than the rest who don't.
Brando gives a rich smile as he hugs his belt, shakes his head and sighs.
Brando Martial: That sounds familiar, yes. But I'll make it perfectly clear, sir. I wasn't raised in this jungle. Where I come from it's not all about who you meet getting up there but who you beat to do it. I come from a pride of lions. Where I come from, there isn't a way back down with all the people you've met. There's just who is coming up next for you, and who is going to show you out. There isn't a down. You stay up, for as long as you're strong enough to hold onto the throne you keep your hold onto it. And you never get back up, because when they take it from you it's from your cold dead hands, Mr. Collins. But I'll be sure to remember that, as I'm sure you'll take what I say with you as well.
Jon Collins gives a collected stare as he raises up his microphone.
Jon Collins: You can be sure of that.
Brando Martial: I look forward to seeing you again, sir. We'll be doing this again on my way up I am absolutely sure of that.
He offers his hand to Jon, who stares at it a moment before taking it firmly and looking him in the eye.
Jon Collins: As am I. Just as I look forward to you defending your belt. I wish you all the best, Brando. The two release hands as Brando's music plays. He stays in the ring and celebrates his title as Jon politely exits the ring.
This is history right here. The first ever triple threat in the history of (R)Evolution Wrestling! And it's good to know one person took it seriously, as Dina Bryce was there prepared to wrestle...while Chaos walked around the ring seventeen times before entering the ring during his entrance. And then there was the entrance of Venus, in which she arrogantly waved the fans off, and entered the ring like she already thought it belonged to her. And when the bell rang, she set out to prove it, immediately tackling Dina to the mat and beginning to repeatedly slap her in the head to assert dominance, only to find herself suplex from behind by Chaos, who set upon Dina himself, wrapping her up in a painful leg submission that was broken up by Venus. This set the pace for the match quickly, as one person would manage to get some semblance of dominance going, only to have the odd man(orwoman) out breaking it up. Dina excited with her usual high flying excitement, including a hurricanrana that threw Chaos into Venus! Chaos' unorthodox offense contionously confused both women, including when at one point he got Venus into the corner only to leave the ring, run around it, re-enter and attack Dina. It finally came to an end shortly after, as Chaos hit Dina with the Anarchy Rising, only to find himself shoved out of the ring by Venus, who covered Dina for the 1, 2, 3. She celebrated like a queen, the crowd booing her hard while Chaos looked on with an expression that could not be read at all.
