Biography: Kerry Windsor was born in Des Moines, Iowa on Dec. 30th, 1984. His past is a mystery to many, as it is not one that he likes to discuss. All that he’ll really say of it, is that it is one that he never wants to revisit. After making his debut in Sin Wrestling in 2010, Kerry quickly made a name for himself as an entertainer, catching the eye of fans all over the world. There were many within the industry however that weren’t too fond of Kerry and his antics. Wrestling purists felt that he was making a mockery of the industry since he didn’t hide the fact that he was only around for financial gain. Kerry simply dubbed himself as an “entertainer that just loved to wrestle.” Although they hated his motives, one thing that could not be denied was Kerry’s natural abilities in the ring.
Kerry further solidified himself as wrestling’s next major star when he defeated well known Superstar Corey Ashton for the Sin television title. This victory threw Kerry into the spotlight, where he became a target of industry legend Stevie Swing. Stevie believed that Kerry was nothing more than hype and wasn’t deserving of the acclaim he’d received. So when Kerry announced his plan to auction off a shot at his coveted television title, Stevie jumped at the opportunity. Trying to thwart Kerry’s attempt at financial gain, Stevie tried to fix the auction. Having Kerry abducted, and having her manager run the auction, Stevie thought that she had pulled a fast one on Kerry, by bidding one dollar. She clearly underestimated Kerry’s intelligence, as he somehow managed to convince her minions in the department of H.A.R.M. to go out and place bids for the title shot themselves. When all was said and done, Stevie was determined to get her shot at Kerry and placed a whopping bid of ten million dollars, which set in stone what would later become a classic battle between the two at the Sin Wrestling’s “Wonderland” Pay Per View. Kerry emerged victorious and retained his television title in a match for the ages.
However, things with Stevie Swing were far from over. The very next week at Sin’s flagship show Eternity, Stevie let it be known that she wanted to up the ante. Although Windsor had defeated her at Wonderland, she was still unmoved in her sentiments about Kerry. She still felt that he was over rated and she still felt that she was better than him, and she still felt the need to prove it. Focusing in on Kerry’s love for money, Stevie made a move that caught everyone off guard. She challenged Kerry to a 2 out of 3 falls match, saying that this match would prove everything that she claimed, and insisted that if Kerry were to defeat her, she’d give him double the amount that she initially dropped during the TV title auction (a whopping 20 million dollars). Kerry accepted the offer without hesitation, which lead to what many Sin Faithful considered to be the wrestling match of that year. The two put on an amazing display of skill and athleticism, but once again Kerry Windsor bested the industry legend, cementing himself amongst the industry’s elite.
Kerry was riding high, and he was 20 million dollars richer. He was far from the poverty that he admits plagued his younger life. The future seemed bright for the young superstar.
Around this time, Kerry had become romantically involved with another Sin Wrestling superstar named Chelsea Pryce. Things had started off somewhat rocky between the two, because Chelsea was one of those individuals that felt Kerry was disrespecting the sport with his “money first” attitude. It was Chelsea’s daughter Rosalyn however that inadvertently brought the two together. Despite her mother’s views of Kerry, Rosalyn was a huge Kerry Windsor fan, and it was her impromptu asking for an autograph that first sparked conversations between Chelsea and Kerry.
The two grew very close in a short amount of time, and would often be seen rooting for one another or giving bits of advice to one another. Kerry had fallen head over heels for Chelsea and love had blinded him to what was about to occur next.
Chelsea had somehow gotten involved with another Sin roster member by the name of Kelvin Coolidge, and while it was apparent that she had feelings for Kerry, it was also apparent that something was brewing between her and Coolidge. Feelings of betrayal embedded themselves into Kerry and things eventually came to a climax at Sin’s Pay Per View “Over The Top Rope 6” where Kerry squared off against Coolidge for the rights to Chelsea Pryce’s managerial services. In a grueling bout, both men gave a valiant effort, but in the end Kelvin Coolidge pulled out the victory. The biggest dagger though, came at the end of the match when Chelsea Pryce entered the ring with an aluminum bat, slamming it into Coolidge’s midsection and then nailing Kerry in the injured knee that he had obtained during the fight with Coolidge. Kerry would still go on to fight in the Over The Top Battle Royal (in which the event was named after) later that night. On one leg, he somehow outlasted most of the roster, only to fall and be eliminated in the end by his biggest rival Stevie Swing. Many say it was the gutsiest performance they ever saw, and he received a standing ovation upon leaving ringside. Little did the fans know, that would be the last time they ever saw Kerry Windsor in a Sin ring.
Sin Wrestling decided to go on a hiatus and give its roster a break after such a hellacious chain of shows. Taking advantage of the break, Kerry decided to get his knee checked out, only to discover that his knee was in worst shape than anyone had predicted. Needing surgery and an extensive time away from the ring, Kerry couldn’t help but to lay the blame on Chelsea Pryce, the woman that had captured his heart had put him on the sidelines. Not having many close confidants growing up, knowing that one of the few people that he had decided to trust had betrayed him triggered off a serious bout of depression, and it was in his pain medications that he found solace.
Spiraling deeper and deeper into the pits of addiction, wrestling became nothing more than an after thought for Kerry. Sin Wrestling returned off of hiatus, but Kerry opted not to go back. He wanted nothing to do with Chelsea Pryce, he didn’t even want to be around her. Kerry figured that with all of his lucrative investments and business endeavors, he’d made far more than enough money and he no longer needed wrestling.
After several stints in rehab facilities, Kerry found himself free of addiction and with a renewed interest in stepping back into the squared circle. With money no longer the focus of his motives, he set out to earn the respect of the purists that shunned him the first time around. He was back to prove a point, and that he did. Inking a deal with Revival Wrestling, Kerry once again took the industry by storm. He went on to become the first ever Revival Heavyweight Champion and a poster boy for the network that backed it. (HBO). In a matter of months, he had gone from the road to redemption, to the fast track of success and became a very notable name in the wrestling industry.
In January of 2013, Revival Wrestling closed its doors with Kerry having been its last ever Heavyweight Champion. He then took a break, instead opting to have a long put off shoulder surgery and to stay at home and spend time with his then girlfriend (now his wife) Sheree, and their newborn baby girl Kalani.
Not one to stay away from the business too long, Kerry eventually signed on as a co-host for CTN's "Platinum Talk" alongside Mac Leonard, but that was not a position he'd hold for long, because on March 31st, 2013 at the Blind Fury PPV, Kerry Windsor was officially announced as the General Manager of PDW’s flagship show Disclosure. He went on to have a very successful run at the position, helping lead Disclosure to ORC’s 2013 Show of the Year honor, before stepping down to pursue other endeavors on January 20th, 2014.
*In April of 2013, Kerry also found out that he was the father of his ex girlfriend Chelsea Pryce’s newborn son. It was a pregnancy that Chelsea kept hidden from him after their breakup. A mental breakdown by Chelsea, led to Kerry getting custody of his son, Kj. (Kerry Jr.)
