Previous E-Wrestling Experience: THE AMOUNT OF YEARS IS TOO DAMN HIGH!
Instant Messenger Names (MSN, AIM, Yahoo): AIM - damascenocs
Character Info
Name: Leander Apollo
Height: Six-foot (6’)
Weight: Two hundred and twenty-five pounds (225 lbs)
Hometown: Columbus, Ohio
Alignment: +3, a very strong following from worldwide fans who do respect his work ethic and abilities inside of the ring…a bit of an “internet darling” since his independent days in Germany and he embraces it strongly, eventually forming a solid fan base over the years. Strong style good guy in the ring, although some of his friendships outside of the ring with people who aren’t as fan friendly knock him down a few points in this case.
Entrance Music: “The Wings of A Boy That Killed Adolescence” by Kow Otani
Entrance Description:
Physical Appearance: Just at six foot, Leander doesn’t look like too much initially – often opting for the t-shirt and jeans combination whenever hanging around backstage, the t-shirts being from something plain to wrestling/videogame/band references. However, once at a closer distance, one can see his Spartan-like build in full. Every bit of muscle being lean and defined with the proper bulk (we are talking six pack and all of that, by the way) to allow him feats of strength usually seen on bulkier, taller wrestlers. There are no tattoos in his body, only a few small scars across his back and a rather noticeable, recent one above his right shoulder. (for a PB; that would be Taylor Kitsch a.k.a. Riggins)
Ring Attire: His wrestling gear consists of a pair of black elbow pads, red tape wrapped around from his hands to his forearms, decorated and patterned gold and black tights with some small details of the logos and patterns in crimson red (such as his main logo seen here at: www.tfwf.net/pictures/bioapollo.png) on the side of the right thigh and Japanese characters reading the words “Kiseki no Sedai” running down the left thigh. Black kneepads are usually hidden beneath the tights and to go along with it is a pair of black wrestling boots which are concealed along with gold shin guards. During his entrances, he’ll always have on a rather imperial coat with large, golden shoulder pads and a black cape alongside it – a little tribute to Mobile Suit Gundam and Char Aznable’s “Char’s Counterattack” look.
Gimmick: Legitimate Athlete
Personality: Leander is a no-nonsense kind of guy - the type that will tell you how it is from the get-go, no punches pulled. Amicable, good-hearted, respectful of the wrestling business and a hard worker in and out of the ring. His determination and grit has made him a fan favorite amongst wrestling fans over the years. Versed enough in pop culture and with a sound of knowledge of sports, he takes a rather methodical approach to professional wrestling – more often than not being the kind of person who studies tape on people across different companies, interacting with the world at large. Always seeking new challenges and new horizons, Apollo isn’t the kind to just settle for something, still trying to reach for new heights as part of his tandem with long-time rival turned partner Vanessa Cade and eventually, to reach the top of the ladder and become a world champion.
As a wrestler, he will abide by the rules of the contest before him and not cause any sort of rule breaking –although he’s more willing these days to push the five counts whenever he has an opponent on the ropes. He is also not above going after his foes after matches are done or backstage to get himself some payback if said opponent harms him first.
List up to three strengths of your character; they can be in-ring related, personality related, whatever you think helps define your character:
1. Technical Wrestling – be it chain wrestling, mat, counters, submissions, any and all aspects of technical wrestling are something that Leander Apollo has diligently worked on over and over again in his young career – in short, he has gradually begun to make his case to be considered as one of the best technical wrestlers in the world. His experience over the last five years and worldwide exposure in companies like TFWF and CRW have provided him a platform to make his case.
2. MMA Background – before training as a pro wrestler, Apollo was being molded into a MMA fighter, so he definitely knows his way around fierce strikes, such as elbows and knees in the Muay Thai style and can pull out some nasty submissions right out of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu playbook.
3. Determination – often this is something most people will put in there to describe themselves as tough, but Leander takes it a notch further after years of going up against some of the best competition around…he will find a second wind, a third or more if it means going the distance and pulling out victory.
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. Speed – given his wrestling style, Apollo prefers to keep things grounded. High fliers, especially ones who know what they’re doing, can definitely create a problem for Apollo – unfortunately, it seems most high-fliers are also cursed with being absolute show-offs or spot monkeys, which both annoys Leander and gives him a window of opportunity to jump in and dictate the match again.
2. Stipulation Matches – while Apollo may have been around for a few years in the wrestling scene, he has not had much experience with stipulation bouts – be it hardcore matches, street fights, table matches, whatever the case may be. Thus, there’s quite a little bit of inexperience on Apollo’s end that some wily veterans or people not keen on playing by the rules can utilize to their advantage and that can fire back against Apollo (such as not being able to capitalize on a certain opportunity or two). Lately, he's gotten more experience at that due to his time as the PDW Cyber Champion.
3. Determination – double-edged sword from his nifty little strength above is the fact he will push himself far enough to where emotions and adrenaline and everything else can cause a mistake that can lead to his defeat or even to injury…some opponents have used that to their advantage and is part of what kept him out of action for a short period until recently.
Biography: Born Myron Napaeae, Leander Apollo started first taking MMA/self-defense lessons at the “House of the East Side” dojo in Flint, Michigan at age fifteen along with his older sister Ayla – it was there where Leo met Robert “The Mountain” Porter and where Ayla met her eventual husband Chris Strike, both those men pro wrestlers under a company known as “GSB.” It was through watching the GSB that Leander began taking an interest in pro wrestling while still continuing his MMA training with Porter. Once graduated from high school, Leander trained for three months under Bryan Cade’s tutelage (thus meeting his daughter Vanessa at the time and beginning a rivalry between the two), before returning Stateside and attending Penn State University. But it was during his junior year of college that he took a major step in the continuation of his career path, as he left for Tampa Bay, Florida instead of doing summer classes, where Chris Strike’s best friend of many years Lyn Dallins agreed to train him. Within that summer, Dallins made a rough around the edges MMA trained kid into a solid striker with a basis in proper technical wrestler with some extra nasty submissions to resort to in case the first two didn’t work out. Once his junior year was finished, Lyn used his connections in Europe to get Leander some work in Germany during the summer of 2009 – and it was there where Leo stayed for an entire year, going from city to city every few weeks and making his living on the road (doing his last years’ worth of credits at PSU abroad, only returning Stateside during it twice to apply for & grab his degree).
It was at the Extreme Tournament of 2011 that Leander began making a name for himself, coming out as a name to expect big things from as he emerged from unknown to star by winning his way through preliminaries and into the knockout stages. However, that was only the starting point of Leander’s journey – as he shortly made his way into both TFWF as a competitor, rising through the ranks alongside another newcomer in Jason Proctor to eventually win the TFWF Tag Team titles. His reign as TFWF World Tag Team champion lasted for 368 days – the second longest in the company’s eighteen year plus history. Shortly after losing the titles due to his tag team partner’s betrayal, Leander suffered a shoulder injury that led him to be on the shelf for five months before he returned to the TFWF under the guise of Kiramaru XIV, although the company shut its doors before he could get a one-on-one match with Proctor. At the same time of his return, Leander began working for Code Red Wrestling, where he faced off against more big names of the professional wrestling scene at the time and eventually won the CRW Primetime title before this company, too, had to close its doors.
Apollo’s next stop was at Platinum Dynasty Wrestling, where he eventually got an opportunity and captured the PDW Cyber title, a championship that he would hold and defend until being defeated by Zero McHannon in a unification match for his belt and the Bloodshed title at Reckless Endangerment III. It was eventually due to mind games by one Brett Sands that Leander was beaten down and crushed before PDW closed its doors and he had to recover. Once recovered, Leander received an offer from mega-Japanese company “Apollon Media” to be one of its new representatives, sponsored in full as a duo attraction alongside Vanessa Cade, who had been a part of that conglomerate for nearly a year. Now, having gone from being the “Red Comet” to the “Golden Comet” to better coordinate with his own partner, the tandem with the name of “Generation of Miracles” bestowed upon them by their company has come together and begun to make some waves around different company’s shows in Japan. It wasn’t long until EXODUS Pro took notice during their Japan tour…and it wasn’t long until Leander Apollo noticed the EXODUS Pro World Tag Team titles and the wicked men who currently hold them.

Entrance Description:
As the Tron begins to show eerie yet beautiful images of space as the song builds, there are flashes of Leander Apollo hitting various moves and applying holds on his opponents as it does so while the piano and jazzy tone begins as “The Wings of A Boy That Killed Adolescence” by Kow Otani by blasts over the PA system, the footage changing constantly and quickly before a red comet flies through space and gradually, smoke begins to shoot out and cover the entrance ramp area.
Leander Apollo slowly steps forth through the smoke the cameras get a good shot of him doing so. Focused and stone-faced, Leander looks at the flames before slowly stepping through the fire decorated in his full wrestling gear and shoulder pads with the massive cape behind it fully intact. Apollo walks down the ramp, eyes on the ring before climbing up the stairs and entering through the middle rope. He takes a moment to stare at the crowds, absorbing the mixed reaction altogether before removing the coat and shoulder pads, letting them fall to the mat with a thud before going over to the ropes, stretching, focused on the task ahead.
