Character Info
Name: Cam "The Gojira" Davis
Twitter Handle (if applicable): N/A
Height: 6'11"
Weight: 335 lbs.
Hometown: Louisville, Kentucky, USA
Age: 35
Years Experience: 12
Alignment: -3 ("Gojira," despite being respected by his peers gained via his Japanese experience, is by far one of the most dislike Gaijin to compete in Japan. Some of this is because of his physical dominance in the ring, some is simply for his cold demeanor around fans; he's rarely allowed for people to take pictures or receive autographs, and regularly pushes fans away when in a crowd.)
Entrance Music: "Godzilla" by Blue Oyster Cult
*Many Japanese companies, like larger American companies, have their own in-house produced themes. Feel free to have your character use a FIPW produced theme, named whatever you like if you so choose. Just indicate this next to the song name.
Physical Appearance: Physically imposing, Cam Davis more often than not finds himself towering over his foes. Though traces of gray have begun creeping into his hair, he's added to his unique aura by adding facial hair since his last appearance in the country. (PB: Luke Harper)
Ring Attire: Despite his large frame, Davis opts for a basic trunks look; for regular matches, his gear (trunks, kneepads, boots) are all "Kentucky blue" with white trim. For "big matches," he'll switch to a mirrored version of his gear, a white with blue trim variant. The only exception to this is in the month of July, when Davis will wear a pair of "American Flag" designed trunks, such to get a xenophobic reaction from fans during the month of American Independence Day.
Character: Davis doesn't cheat, but he's not afraid to bend the rules; chokes can show up commonly, particularly with his boot. He carries a definite air of "I'm bigger, thus I'm better" about him against smaller opponents. If he works the crowd at all, it's usually to mock them or his opponent.
List up to three strengths of your character; they can be in-ring related, personality related, whatever you think helps define your character:
1. The Biggest Man in the Room (or Ring) - Cam Davis is a monster, plain and simple. His size advantage is one of his "trump cards" and he never hesitates to use it. It also grants him (usually) a strength advantage in the ring.
2. Puroresu Experience - Virtually all of Cam's career has been spent in Japan; for those coming to the country for the first time, the various differences (time, culture, audience, in-ring style) can be a shock. For him, they're second nature.
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. Slower Than Slow - He's big, but he's not quick. Cam Davis is easily befuddled by quick wrestlers who can stick and move.
2. One-Dimensional - That size game is great...it's also about all he's got. If he's in the ring with someone even close to as big as him, "The Gojira" isn't going to be able to do much to out-class his opponent.
3. Easy to Anger - Remember how we said "befuddled" earlier? More like "enrage." Davis gets outrageously angry when he's being outsmarted (or outwrestled, or outrun...) and will resort to direct action, which can cause mistakes.
Athletic Background: 12 year veteran of pro wrestling ... high school basketball.
Brief Career History: After learning the basics of pro wrestling, Cam Davis found himself a man without a home. No promotion was interested in a "giant" wrestler, instead opting for the smaller, more athletic style that was popular at the time. Instead, he turned to Japan, where he enrolled in the Prime Japan Pro Wrestling Dojo, earning his stripes the hard way. From there, he became a regular in the promotion, his size being a primary feature of the promotion. Twice he was part of the winning team of the "WARRIORS" Tag Team League, and once the runner-up of the "Master of Japan" singles tournament. He also won the PJPW Tag Team Titles a total of three times, with three different partners.
Promotions, notable championships held, etc. The sort of stuff promotional material can use to hype your character.
Wrestling Style: "Giant" Style; big throws, simple strikes, only truly "flashy" with his finishers.
