Name: Kiriko Miura
Twitter Handle (if applicable): Eventually
Height: 5'4
Weight: 124lbs
Hometown: Kyotango, Kyoto, Japan
Age: 28
Years Experience: 6 years
Alignment: -1
Kiriko is here simply to wrestle, having no interest in friends or foes, and has managed to put off many of her previous fans with her new aloof nature, making her nearly neutral except for those who feel really mad about it.
Entrance Music: "Empty Heart" - FIPW Produce
Physical Appearance: Rinko Kikuchi
Ring Attire: Dark purple sleeveless top and similarly colored tights, both of which are covered in cuts (both big and small) that have gone unrepaired, serving as memories of her deathmatch days and other things.
Character: Kiriko was once a very well loved wrestler to her small group of fans, fighting for the crowd and their enjoyment, playing up to them and always looking for their cheer. But that's not the case anymore. Now she's cold and aloof, empty, only going out there to win and more importantly to pass time in an empty life. Nothing less, certainly nothing more.
List up to three strengths of your character; they can be in-ring related, personality related, whatever you think helps define your character:
1. Intergender Experience - Having wrestled near-exclusively for an intergender deathmatch promotion (and indeed her greatest rival (among other things) being a man), she's had plenty of experience wrestling men, and knows how to compensate for the inherent size and strength differences.
2. What's Pain? - Similarly, having been on top of a deathmatch promotion has granted her an incredible tolerance for pain. The kind of things that would cause others to stop and give up, she can keep on going for that precious extra time.
3. No Feelings - Kiriko being empty on the inside can help her, keeping her from losing focus via things like caring for someone or hating them, none of that factors into her, she's merely there to win.
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. Small - She has great speed and hitting power, but it doesn't always get around the fact that she's smaller than the men, and if someone gets a hand on her it's easy to overpower her and get an advantage.
2. Off-Putting - Kiriko's new attitude does not in any way facilitate friendships, something she is entirely fine with. Of course, this is wrestling, and having some kind of ally can be very helpful in some situations, and she purposefully shuts herself off from that avenue.
3. No Feelings - Obviously passion is an important part of success in wrestling, and Kiriko just....lacks that now, and there are times where it's clear that that is a hindrance to her career.
Athletic Background: Played soccer throughout high school.
Brief Career History: Kiriko began to train at the age of 21 in the dojo of a small independent joshi company, making her debut later in the year where she worked the usual young boy(girl) matches, something that apparently she did not entirely enjoy, as she would leave the company the next year for another similarly small indy promotion, but one with a specialty. It was a deathmatch promotion that was heavily intergender, something that became quickly apparent was something she was quite skilled at. And, over the course of 5 years, she managed to improve and impress enough to find herself on top of the company, holding it's main belt three times, a belt that she would trade with her greatest rival, a male wrestler that was well known in the area. 2 years into their continuous rivalry the news broke that they were actually romantically involved, and had been since before their in-ring rivalry started. While scandalous in some ways, it actually was good business for the promotion, as people would come to see this couple face off in violent deathmatches, finding the enjoyment and happiness they found in facing each other in that way fascinating. She felt true happiness.
And then, in early 2013, he was found dead in an alleyway.
The sudden, violent loss she suffered changed her, causing her to withdraw from wrestling, where she remained for a year. Exactly what happened in that year, no one is sure about, though it's clear it wasn't spent getting over it, as she finally resurfaced in the past few months, trying her hand at deathmatches but, apparently, finding them no longer appealing without her lover alive to take part in them with. As such she seemed ready to disappear again, to God knows where, until the call from Four Islands came. Presented with a way to pass time that she'd otherwise spend in solitude, hurting over what happened, there really wasn't anything to do besides accept the contract.
