RW had some amazing matches this year. Which was your favorite?
The Booze Brothers v. The Sisters of Sin (AE2 Pre-Show) - The blood, the booze, and the car parts went flying in this wild street fight that kicked off the festivities of the Autumn Effect 2! In an over the top entrance put together by the hard drinking trio of Daniel Lanning, Carey Dean, and Jackie the Lad, the six competitors fought in a brutal match that saw Carey Dean almost run over by the same gigantic pick up truck they hijacked for their entrance!
Sydney Christensen v. Brando Martial ((R)Evolution Wrestling #4) - The battle to crown the first RW Champion was hard fought and displayed two of the top stars of RW at the time of the match! Sydney Christensen and Brando Martial came alive and proved that neither of them wanted to bow down from their mission to be the top of the first RW class. Though Martial needed shifty means to knock off Christensen, Sydney avenged her loss later in the year and became champion.
Carey Dean v. Deacon Jeremiah ((R)Evolution Wrestling #11) - It was the end of a vendetta for the Son of Disaster. In a no holds barred affair, Carey Dean gave his all to fight the Deacon and avenge his fallen former girlfriend. With loud motivation from his manager Tom Higashikata and some daring moves of his own, Carey Dean proved his worth that night and cemented his legacy as one of the craziest and violent stars in (R)Evolution.
Shozo v. Phillippe Bertrand ((R)Evolution Wrestling #11) - It was a rematch from their Beat the Clock showdown and proved to be the most how stealing affair RW had in some time. Both competitors gave it their all, but in a match that began Shozo's ascent up the card, the young lion and the vain renaissance man fought in one of the hardest hitting, exciting matches in the year of RW.
Devan Whitmore v. Deacon Jeremiah ((R)Evolution Wrestling #12) - It wasn't a technical competition by any stretch of the imagination, but for reasons, this is here. Rewatch that "classic" and see for yourself.
Devan Whitmore v. Sydney Christensen (Autumn Effect 2) - Only a couple of nights prior, Devan Whitmore had shocked the world and joined REVOLUTION. In her first match after what was essentially a shocking betrayal, Whitmore gave it her all and attempted to wrest the RW World Title from The North Star. Though the ending was tainted by the arrival of the Sisters of Sin, it was a classic up until that defining moment.
