The Patented Sean Full Blown Feedback Post...GOGOGOGOGO!
Opening Segment - Really good. I liked how this set the stage for both the evening's main event and the main event of Dead in Hollywood in one fell swoop. Cannon's been on a Goddamned roll ever since Autumn Effect 2, and this segment is no exception. I like the edge Abby Park showed here - and against Strike, she's probably going to need it.
GRENDEL/Brooks vs. Jameson/Lenton - Good tag match here, as Angela Jameson continues to show off just how many enemies she's made. xDD Another big fall for GRENDEL, who's somewhat quietly put together an excellent start to his EXODUS Pro tenure and strikes me as an excellent candidate to go after Mr. Scott's San Diego Bay Championship in the somewhat near future. Also sets us up Devan and Angela for the iPPV, of course.
Lexy Chapel Meets the Director - Strong segment here, I thought. More insight to Lexy is good, and her frustrations being played out definitely helped. Coupled with Jimmy serving as a sounding board, this did everything it should have and then some.
Shozo/Chandler In-Ring - Very strong opening from Arino here, and a characteristically dismissive Chandler in response. One's gotta wonder if that might come back to bite him or not - Shozo's a man on a mission right now.
Chandler Scott vs. Lexy Chapel - A big win for Lexy, naturally, to set her up for her return match with Kane - especially considering Chandler's one of the hardest outs in the company. Not squeaky clean, of course, but I also give Shozo props for utilizing an interference method not likely to bring him into much trouble with a certain Judge Magister. Checked all the boxes it needed to to set all parties involved up for their iPPV match.
mara/Brianna Singer segment: Not creepy at all. NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT. Got over the Allmother aspect of Mara's personality fabulously, I thought.
Christian Kane Interview: Good interview from Kane, I thought. This really got over the person he's become (read: Considerably less of a shithead than past vintages), and then, oh look, it's Justin Brooks! After what the Monster has to perceive as a somewhat frustrating month, sinking his teeth into the IC champion must seem like food for the soul. But what, prey tell, does this mean for Kane's tag match later tonight?
mara vs. Evangelista - Short and to the point, which it needed to/should have been as the contest to build to Fiona/mara. I also like the general thrust of the mind games being played here - the use of Zero Hour, Audrey Lloris returning, to set up a very creepy sort of "ghosts of villains past" feel for Fiona going into the DIH bout.
The Man in White - Is there a Ryuji Kamigawa return coming that I don't know about? xD In all seriousness, I'm curious to see where this goes.
Salaryman segment - Pretty short and to the point also - I thought Lifer/Salaryman was big enough that I should write one of these, and so I did. Hoooraaaay writing!
Adrien Cochrane vs. Devan Whitmore - Quick match that gives Devan her first win in EXODUS and sets her up for Angela.
Ruby Tyler Debut - One of those rare moments of sense in EXODUS! Creepy shit happens, so we bring in someone to INVESTIGATE said creepy shit! What are teh odds! Character likely will have noooo shortage of work in EXODUS, that's for damned sure, so let's see where this goes.
Aries Reed Interview - Million, billion stars. This was both funny and a TREMENDOUS idea and character building piece for Aries, while setting up for the big match at Dead in Hollywood for the tag straps.
Salaryman vs. Lifer - I wrote way too much for this, probably, but it felt important so I wanted to try and establish post suuuuper-heel turn Lifer properly off the bat. Also, karaoke! Enjoyed the Hell out of writing this, hope you all did too. Also thanks to Jon for suggesting the post match, and Lifer and Adrien for going along with it.
Sydney/Shinji Segment - Another brief segment that packs a lot into it, and does what needs to be done for all involved. Poor Shinji.
Aries Reed vs. Abby Park - Colossal win for Reed, cheating or not. If Abby wins the belt at the iPPV, does this make Aries #1 contender? The scratch he'd make as champion would probably allow for the farm to be expanded by hundreds of acres!
Man in White/Laurel Anne Hardy Segment - ...Yuuuuup, Laurel's lost it. Granted we're probably better off without crazy Man in White shenanigans, but there's just something about EXODUS that seems to make people go nutters, isn't there?
Masked Salaryman/Black Jones Segment - God help me, I laughed so hard writing this with Allen. Once upon a time we wrote diatribes against the top stars of EXODUS. Now, we write this. Probably the best thing we've ever done, IMO. PPV is going to be fun.
Janus Daughters vs. Fiona/Kane - DASTARDLY TWIN SWITCHING FTW. Fun post match attack also. mara/Fiona at DIH should be an excellent cap to the first chapter of the Allmother, and I'm deeply curious where exactly the story goes from that match.
Justin Brooks Segment - Good piece here to show Brooks' general frustration with his place in the company and the powers that are. It comes off as more heely than it might otherwise due to Brooks' month, which is probably for the best in the long run since, well, he's a heel. Excellent fire.
Chris Strike v. Johnny Cannon - As a judge, this was close as Hell and one of the better RPed bouts I've seen in EXODUS. It sucked anyone had to lose, but this was a huge win for Chris, who has all the momentum going into DIH. Abby's the firm underdog - but she's also done most of her best work AS the firm underdog, so arguably each has the other right where they want them. Also tough loss for Cannon, who now needs to muster up everything he has and beat Andreas Lasiewicz at DIH for moar money.
REVOLUTION Segment - Very good work from all parties involved. It makes me wonder if Shozo's affection for Uchikawa is going to lead to further trouble in paradise, considering the group already seems a bit miffed at Shozo over Kiriko Miura's arrival as a REVOLUTIONary.
Jimmy Riley Segment - More good work from Jimmy. Clearly a member of the William Regal School of Management - do what you need to do and get off camera ASAP.
Black Jones vs. Shozo Arino - Big win for Mr. Jones, with the obvious Shozo/Shinji subplot boiling its way towards a dramatic conclusion of some sort of another. I like making this the main event - it shows EXODUS' intent towards the future, and is something most efeds would never think of, so kudos for that.
MAIN EVENT SEGMENT - This was really well written, I thought. The exchange between Lifer and Gray, Lifer's anguish at his career being what it is, Gray's equally emotional retort, and then the single Forced Suicide - which I thought was really good and had much more emotional resonance than if he'd gone ham with a chair or whatever. One move, one strike, and then Lifer signing his contract and getting what he wanted all along.

Good stuff all round. Solid segments, solid matches (Particular mentions to Lifer/Salaryman and Arino/Jones.) Things just building to enough of a head for the PPV. ALL GOOD. Oh, too many words. Better balance this out, with what I did when I'd finished reading.

Sorry, I got distracted by Pete's gif... Fucker...
Great show, top to bottom. I loved the segments, the matches were perfect set ups for the PPV. I don't know how we do it, but we always manage to keep our shows up to par, or exceed expectations, and this one was no exception. A brilliant show to hit the ground running for Dead in Hollywood.
WOOOOOOO!!!!!
