So a lot of people brought this suggestion to me, and thus I've taken it to heart.
I'm testing out a new deadline this show with a caveat. The new deadline for this show is 12 noon central on the Sunday before the show (aka the day before). HOWEVER, and this is a big however, NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE GIVEN.
Let me know your thoughts. Would you all prefer this over the current deadline, or would you all like it the old way? Let me know.

Nobody has responded to this? I'm a little shocked. I expected mass outcry either in support or against it. Maybe I'm just too used to every little thing causing drama... From my point of view, I work every day Monday to Friday, and occasionally get co-opted in to doing a few things from home on Saturday's as well. Working all week normally means that come Saturday I have a ton of stuff to do from shopping, washing and the like to watching sports, so as a result I normally end up with it getting ridiculously late in the day before I end up thinking "hmm, I should RP". I'm also in another fed that occasionally has Saturday deadlines on PPV weekends, and another that has a Saturday deadline for a weekly show (although normally it's worked out as the opposite Saturday, or I just haven't been on the show when they've clashed, both of which are handy). What I'm trying to say is, I'm in support of a Sunday deadline. I'd even be in support of a Tuesday show with a Sunday deadline if that was needed. I'm rarely writing anything on a Sunday during the day, so it just means whatever I don't get written on Saturday I can get my lazy butt out of bed to write on a Sunday.

This is perfect and if it becomes a thing, then awesome altogether.

I'm kind of inclined to think that knowing the nature of the hobby, people will still procrastinate. That stuff is going to happen. That said, this schedule is sure to be better for the 9-5ers.

I'm kind of inclined to think that knowing the nature of the hobby, people will still procrastinate. Oh man, isn't that just the truth? It doesn't seem to matter how far in advance you tell me about a match, I still find myself not writing anything for it until 48 hours before at most. *rolls eyes* I used to be WAY better at this than that as well. I used to have stuff up like a day after the card went up. Oh the old days...

It works for me. I am usually off on Saturdays and don't go in until the afternoon on Sundays.

I'm turning everything in Monday morning and you can't stop me, because if you do I'll pull the race card and have you all blacklisted by the Efed community. <.<
