Heather and Allison are the true MVPs...
...another good show from Exodus as usual. I have a few things that left me scratching my head but I'll address those tomorrow with a solid Review

WILL SOMEONE GET THESE MOTHERFUCKING NINJAS OUT OF THIS MOTHERFUCKING COMPANY!
OK, quick bit by bit breakdown: Reika: Nice intro to the show. Nothing too heavy. Brooks vs. Tyler: Very well written. A good way to get a debuting character over without sacrificing a well established character, especially one with the gimmick/skillset of Brooks. Shozo: Suitably creepy promo from a suitably creepy guy. Ramsay: SPOOPY! Aries/Ginny: I really liked it. I like the fact that we seem to be progressing past the Aries/Ginny mini-feud. Collins vs. Torres: Solid match. Good that it's different from match 1. Fiona is the company's "ace", so the conclusion seemed pretty much a given, but not written as a complete squash. Good stuff. Devan/Thrawn/Sue: I had a hand in this, and it was fun to write. What I'm assuming was New Eden: Good tension building viginette. Cochrane vs. Taylor: Solid match. Less of a squash than I was expecting, but I suppose it was against a former champion. Aries/Heather: And a solid continuation of the last Aries segment. Thought it was brilliant. Shinji: CREEPY! Scott vs. Whitmore: OK match. In my opinion, the weak one on the card, but even in that position still blowing other stuff's bad matches out of the water. Shinji: I liked it. I like, what is in my view, a flawed hero battling against something he's been told is wrong, but doesn't really understand why. I do like a hero who only sees the things that validates his own POV. Chapel Show/Frost: I want to see more Chapel Show stuff. I think that, regardless of Lexy's astounding title reign, The Chapel Show still stand apart from the rest of the EXODUS family a bit, and I'd love to explore more ways to bring them to the front. Hot Sauce & Ramen vs. Uncensored: Sean did a great job here, in my opinion, in selling the strengths of both teams, not really having either dominant over the other. Slightly dirty finish, regardless of how it came about, adds character to the title switch. I'm mostly interested to see the Lawful Good Salaryman's reaction if/when he learns truly what Black did. Beowulf: Me, innit. Seymour: Nice to see Seymour's moral conflicts get some camera time. Kane vs. mara: Excellent match. Really liked it, and the finish adds another dimension to the mara/Fiona feud. Andreas/Jackie/Leliana: Suitably vague, as we've come to expect from Las. Quote of the night? "Stupid penis". Jimmy: NEW TITLE! I'll admit, I'm personally sceptical that our roster size can accomodate another belt, but I am definitely pro special stipulation belts. I look forward to being proven wrong. Main Event: A great match, well written (especially once you know the full story of how it's writing came about). Sells both characters. And of course...
Motherfucking Ninjas.
Oh yeah, if anyone wants to discuss any of these with me, you should know how to find me.

Using Pete's format, because it's good!
Reika: Very good opening segment. I quite like Reika as a character, so seeing she's Strike's manager makes me happy. Strike coming for the belt makes sense given how razor close the match at DIH was.
Brooks vs. Tyler: Well-written match that both serves as a good debut for Ruby, and seems to further some of the doubt Brooks is showing on Twitter. In that sense, it did everything it needed to do.
Shozo: I love how reasonable Shozo thinks he is while actually in fact being slightly (and presumably soon not so slightly) out of his mind. Shinji/Shozo is coming, and not in the way that fanfics are made of.
Ramsay: New talent coming to Revo is always a good thing.
Aries/Ginny: I love this feud so much. SO, SO much. I can't even describe how much I love it. Though this is the least antagonistic Aries has been towards her yet, so maybe there's hope for poor Ginny. We shall see.
Collins vs. Torres: Good match here between the newcomer and the ace of EXODUS. Also establishes Collins as in the building for later, which I like in terms of laying out a show.
Devan/Thrawn/Sue: I am the world's biggest Grand Admiral Thrawn mark, so this made me smile. Sue's also growing on me a lot, so this was an excellent character building piece for the three.
What I'm assuming was New Eden: From what was discussed in the 45 page CD RP OF ALL ENCOMPASSING DOOM, I'm psyched for New Eden. Liked a lot of the quotes in this promo piece, too.
Cochrane vs. Taylor: In spite of the no show, IC, this is one of Taylor's two or three biggest wins in EXODUS, so kudos to her. Would love to see Savannah vs. Kane for the International title at some point in the near future.
Aries/Heather: Aries Reed is one of the two or three best characters in EXODUS right now. Everything the dude touches is baaaaasically gold and this was no exception.
Shinji (Seer): I can tell I'm going to be really sick of this guy (in a good way) soon and be rooting for him to get his ass kicked. Kind of like the guy he's named after!
Scott vs. Whitmore: I gave my thoughts on the result on Skype last night, so I won't beat a dead horse.
Shinji (Sentinel): Shinji is one of the best written characters in EXODUS. I can't imagine how hard it is to write someone whose grasp of English isn't complete and do so as effectively as is done with Shinji, so kudos.
"Shozo and my friends do not wish to grow in this soil. They want to salt the earth and try to grow from the poor soil and ashes from the things they set on fire." is a fucking amazing quote, too.
Chapel Show/Frost: Good to see a Lexy segment, and the involvement with Jaina Frost is pretty interesting. I like when characters I would never think of interacting end up doing so. This has a lot of rather interesting potential, I think.
Hot Sauce & Ramen vs. Uncensored: Apologies to all involved - picking up the main meant I had to scramble on this more than I wanted. Goal was to put GRENDEL/Reed over as monsters and the future of the division win or lose, and I'd like to think I succeeded. Nice clustery finish means This Feud Must Continue. I think all four guys have a lot of grist for the mill going forward, too, so in that sense I think this did everything it needed to do.
On a personal note, it means a lot to me to win my first EXODUS title given the quality of the competition here in general, and in particular just how goddamned good Pete and JB are. All the thanks in the world to Allen, too. Sorry RL kicked your ass this week, and we'll get the hype train running going forward.
Beowulf: Super psyched to see the pay off to all of Wulf's twitter character building and the beating of Zack Lifer at the iPPV. This is EXACTLY the kind of character EXODUS needed right now, I think, and Pete's got the chops to really kick ass with it, so I'm looking forward to where this goes.
Seymour: Thanks to Heather for writing this with me. I wanted to address the mara/REVOLUTION ongoing issues with Seymour, and the fact that Jon and Stearns are handling a lot of things. This is EXODUS, so yes, of course this is going somewhere. #BecauseEXODUS.
Kane vs. mara: mara continues to look godlike in all of her appearances - and if Fiona Collins can't stop her, just who the Hell can? Kane gave it an good effort here, and the DQ result keeps the belt on the Handsome Drifter and furthers the ongoing Fiona/mara war, so this hit all the notes that it needed to hit.
Andreas/Jackie/Leliana: Vague Lasie is vague. Jackie's growing on me, though, God help me.
Jimmy: NEW TITLE! Having a gimmick title that's atypical in the eW world is a really nice step for EXODUS, I think, and between EXODUS and Revo, I think we have a LOT of characters who are/will be interested in the Pacific Coast title.
Main Event: My deepest apologies to both Lexy and Norton - I took this on way too late in the day, and you both deserved a better title match than what you got. I am, however, proud of being the man who wrote ninjas into the EXODUS mythos. Ninjas make everything better, always.
