DOUBLE MAIN EVENT II - REVOLUTION vs. (R)EVOLUTION
ANNA GIOVANNA/DAMON ALEXANDER/SIMON RAINES/MISTRESS VIVI vs.
ELIZABETH LANNISTER/GRENDEL/SHOZO ARINO/SUE
Minoru Asano: Up next, the second half of our double main event! Shozo Arino leads his REVOLUTION back to (R)evolution wrestling, partnering with GRENDEL, Elizabeth Lannister, and a mysterious X - revealed tonight as a boy named Sue, against Damon Alexander’s quartet of Anna Giovanna, Simon Raines, and Mistress Vivi.
Pond: This all started at Dead In Hollywood on paper, with the attack by REVOLUTION on Simon Raines following...unfortunate circumstances. But since then, Damon Alexander has made no bones about his distaste for the group, and it’s his words with Shozo two weeks back that have brought us here to this eight person tag team bout.
Minoru Asano: It’s an uphill climb for the Revo students side, no doubt about it. But revenge is a powerful motivator, folks, and it may well drive them to new heights tonight! Let’s go up to David Zinkus, though, and see what happens!
David Zinkus: This contest is scheduled for one fall, with a sixty minute time limit! It is your second main event of the evening, and it is eight person tag team action! Introducing first!
The lights in the arena dim, plunging the auditorium into darkness, save for the occasional camera flash. The crowd gradually draws to silence, as The Hanging Tree by James Newton Taylor featuring Jennifer Lawrence begins to eerily pipe in through the PA system. A sole white light snaps on, focused over the entranceway to the arena, with Shozo Arino stepping out from behind the curtain, entering the eerie silence. He stands at the head of the ramp, before gesturing to the entranceway, where his REVOLUTION colleagues enter the arena, standing three abreast: GRENDEL, Elizabeth Lannister, and Sue. All four stand atop the ramp, and look about the room, as the boos of the crowd begin to rain down on them. With a nod from Shozo, the foursome head down to the ring, down the ramp, ignoring the crowd entirely, all four sets of eyes squarely locked on the ring.
David Zinkus: Representing the REVOLUTION... Shozo Arino... GRENDEL... Elizabeth Lannister... and Sue!
They hit the ring together, with GRENDEL stepping up onto the apron, and over the top rope, whilst Arino and Lannister run up the steps, and Sue slides in under the bottom rope.
Minoru Asano: This is where Arino and GRENDEL cut their teeth. Where Lannister and Sue are still cutting their teeth. This is a matter of pride, you have to think, for them. They do NOT want to lose to Damon Alexander’s team of students from the dojo’s second term.
Pond: Indeed not, but let’s be honest - Shozo and GRENDEL’s mere presence gives REVOLUTION an advantage. Their opposition is hungry, and are going to come out here emotional, but in ring time and experience is an advantage held by the team currently standing in the ring as we speak.
David Zinkus: And, their opponents!
"I'm Made of Wax, Larry What Are You Made Of?" by A Day To Remember hits the speakers, as Damon Alexander, Mistress Vivi, Simon Raines, and Anna Giovanna all walk out as one to the ring. The foursome of Class 2 students focus on the ring and their opposition as they walk, climbing up to the apron in their corner.
Tonight is all business, even for the fun-loving foursome, and it shows in their expressions, serious and ready for battle.
David Zinkus: Representing (R)evolution Wrestling, Damon Alexander, Mistress Vivi, Simon Raines, and Anna Giovanna!
Both camps hurl insults back and forth at one another, as the referee struggles to get things in order. Finally, though, one man from each side steps into the ring, and the bell is called for.
*DING DING DING!*Minoru Asano: Here we go, and we look set to start with both leaders, one on one!
Damon Alexander and Shozo Arino look set to start the bout. As they circle, though, Shozo casually reaches out behind him to tag in Elizabeth Lannister. The REVOLUTION’s erstwhile leader grins, stepping out to the apron and letting the Lioness go face to face with Damon.
Minoru Asano: We’re going to find out pretty quickly if young Damon can handle this or not.
Elizabeth darts in, but Alexander is quick to scoot out of the way. Back in his own corner, he makes his own tag, bringing in Anna Giovanna. The two women give one another a brief look, and shrug, leaning into the collar and elbow tieup.
Pond: Either he can’t, or he decided not to give away that information just yet. It’s not a bad strategy - if Arino THINKS he can’t handle it and in a key moment he actually can, that’s a big advantage for the Second Class - one they may well need against a REVOLUTION team that consists of two Revo trainees and two main roster members, including the stable’s monster, GRENDEL.
Lannister quickly segues into a side headlock, cranking down on Anna’s head. She executes a side headlock takeover to keep the boxer on the canvas, trying to get Giovanna’s shoulders on the canvas. Anna, though, fights her way back up to her knees, and pushes off, extricating herself from the predicament.
When Elizabeth turns around, she walks right into a quick jab to the face, followed by a short uppercut to the ribs that drives the air from her body. As she staggers backwards, a hand comes out to touch her shoulder - a legal tag, bringing in the boy called Sue for his first appearance in the contest.
Minoru Asano: He may be the newest member of REVOLUTION, but they’ve got him all in on the team strategy already.
Pond: That’s the biggest advantage this REVOLUTION quartet may have - experience in the ring together, at least for Shozo and GRENDEL, and their closeness. The four members of the Second Class are tight-knit, don’t get me wrong, but REVOLUTION is about a shared idealogy and camaraderie. These men and women are pariahs to much of the locker room. All they HAVE is each other.
Sue regards Giovanna carefully, seemingly conflicted.
Minoru Asano: Sue is known to be extremely polite to the opposite sex, folks. This...may be the first time he’s ever looked across the ring at a woman.
Pond: And one who won’t hesitate to take his head off, no less. We have lots of those here in Revo, so Sue’s gonna have to adapt to that, right quick.
Giovanna flicks a pair of jabs out Sue’s way. The first is slightly off, but the second connects, and she follows it up with a straight right hand to the jaw that snaps Sue’s head back.
Minoru Asano: That woman hits HARD, folks!
Sue gets his bearings back..and smiles. Suitably impressed, he charges, to close the distance with Anna, throwing a short, sharp kneelift to the stomach. A second blow doubles her over, and a third sends her to the canvas, where the Man in Black stomps away with the flat of his boot to the shoulder and back.
Minoru Asano: This man brings even more aggression to the REVOLUTION quiver, as if it needed much more.
Pond: We haven’t seen much of him thus far, but he might be a tough stylistic matchup for this Revo team.
Grabbing hold of her wrist, Sue drags Anna back into the REVOLUTION corner. He reaches out for the tag, bringing in the gigantic GRENDEL. The big man wears a smile on his face as he bodily hauls Giovanna to her feet, dragging her over to a neutral corner and slinging her into it. He throws a pair of hard side elbows to the head, before backing up.
The monster looks to crush Anna in the corner with a running lariat, but Giovanna dive rolls out of the way and GRENDEL hits nothing but turnbuckle. The big guy turns around into a three punch combination to the ribs, and winces but keeps on coming.
Wading through the assault, he picks Anna up, holding her easily for a sidewalk slam. The big guy parades her around the ring, unaware that as he does, Giovanna is able to reach out and slap Simon Raines’ hand, making him the legal man as he climbs to the top rope
Minoru Asano: Anna got the tag! GRENDEL doesn’t realize it yet - but the REVOLUTION corner’s trying to point it out to him!
Shozo Arino in particular points behind GRENDEL, trying to get his attention, but it’s a futile effort until the big guy plants Giovanna to the canvas with his huge, delayed sidewalk slam. The official, too, joins in on the act as GRENDEL tries to cover, shaking his head and making the universal symbol for a made tag.
By the time GRENDEL gets up and locates the new legal man, it’s too late, as Raines is already flying off the top rope, fist cocked to DRILL the big man with a diving Superman punch! GRENDEL totters back several steps, but to his credit, doesn’t go down!
Pond: ...that’s a SCARY guy right there! Raines hit him on the button OFF THE TOP and he’s still standing!
Simon scrambles back up immediately, though, sticking and moving with leg kicks to both of the tree-trunk like limbs of GRENDEL. The annoyance on the big man’s face is evident, and he tries to swat Raines away with mammoth, pawing strikes, but Simon bobs and weaves his way out of danger, and lands a HARD kick to the knee that worries the big man.
With GRENDEL reeling, and bending over to regard the knee, Simon crouches, and springs forward with a leaping uppercut to the jaw, a cry of “SHORYUKEN!” escaping his throat as he drives his fist into the chin and sends GRENDEL up and back, crashing back into the REVOLUTION corner!
Minoru Asano: GRENDEL’s on dream street from that…
Pond: Dragon Punch! Raines just Dragon Punched the GRENDEL!
Shozo Arino makes the tag, to give the cleanup hitter of the REVOLUTION time to recover on the apron. Simon regards him calmly, standing mid-ring, his hands down at his sides, nodding at the leader of the opposition as if encouraging him to bring it on.
Minoru Asano: Um, what the Hell is he doing?
Pond: You’ve got me, really. Your guess is as good as mine.
Perhaps thinking that the Dead in Hollywood beatdown scrambled more brain cells than he’d initially thought, Shozo opts not to look a gift horse in the mouth, and charges, eyes open for any tricks. When he sees none, Arino leaps, angling his right boot to decapitate the Artist of War with his patented Evolving Times.
Minoru Asano: This is…
Pond: ...o...ver…
At the last possible second, Raines back-bends to evade the Bakatare Sliding Kick, sending Arino passing mere inches overhead. He lands on the flat of his back and skids a few more feet.
Unfortunately, when he stands, he’s in the Second Class corner, and Vivienne Robichaud can’t resist introducing herself to the REVOLUTION’s figurehead with a hard right hand. Anna Giovanna gleefully follows with a right, and Shozo staggers right into Simon throwing a double palm-thrust to the abdomen that knocks him back properly into the corner, much to the crowd’s approval.
Minoru Asano: Raines...Matrix evaded the Evolving Times, and Shozo’s getting pinballed around in the Second Class corner!
Raines makes the tag into Vivienne Robichaud, who enters the ring with no hesitation whatsoever.
Pond: This should be interesting - it’s easy to forget with how brash she is, sometimes, and the posturing she does, but Vivi is the most accomplished member of her team. She made it to the semi-finals of the top of the class tournament, and gave Shozo’s former best friend Shinji Uchikawa a run for his money when she got there.
Arino clubs her with a forearm to the face. Two more follow, before Shozo Irish whips the New Orleans native into the ropes. Shozo looks for a clothesline, but Vivi ducks underneath. Rebounding off the ropes, she connects with a big spinning heel kick that catches Shozo in the chest. When he stands, she blatantly rakes the eyes, then throws a ridgehand chop to the throat that makes Shozo wheeze.
Minoru Asano: And she’s more than willing to fight fire with fire where needed!
She looks for her patented running Tornado DDT, but Shozo Arino manages to push her off mid-swing. To Vivi’s credit, she makes a four point landing in the corner. To her detriment, it’s the wrong corner, and a rather large and angry GRENDEL wraps a big hand around her throat from the apron, elevating her and driving her down into the mat with a hellish chokeslam!
Pond: Vivi lost track of where she was, but GRENDEL certainly did not! REVOLUTION’s big man turns the tide of this contest in an instant!
Arino clutches at his throat, and makes the tag out to the Lioness, Elizabeth Lannister. She’s all business, especially when dealing with someone who’s had nothing at all nice to say about her in Vivi. Grabbing the voodoo queen by the hair, Lannister hair-mares her over, with a haughty shake of her head.
As Vivi gets up, Elizabeth points to Damon on the ring apron and laughs, before charging Vivi, scoring with a big Thesz Press! Lannister bounces Vivi’s head off the mat once, twice, three times. Lannister floats over for a cover that is, somehow, the first of the contest.
Minoru Asano: Lannister has the shoulders down!
ONE!
TWO!
KICKOUT!
Still in a bad way from the chokeslam, Vivi nonetheless gets a shoulder up. Lannister shrugs, seemingly content to pile more punishment on. By the time Vivienne is back to her feet, Lannister is airborne, executing a beautiful standing dropkick that snaps Robichaud’s head back and sends her down to the canvas.
Pond: Elizabeth Lannister is a fellow Top of the Class Tournament semi-finalist, and a lot of our fans were hoping these two would clash in this tournament. But after a GRENDEL chokeslam, it’s hard to say that the odds are really even here…
The Lioness takes three steps to the ropes, gracefully springing to the second rope, coming back with an Asai moonsault onto the downed Robichaud. Bouncing off from impact, Lannister comes back to the cover, hooking a leg.
ONE!
TWO!
THR--NO!
Minoru Asano: Vivi refusing to say die here, and Elizabeth’s looking less pleased by the second!
Pleased or not, Lannister just keeps pouring the pressure on. Irish whipping Vivi into the ropes,
Elizabeth looks for the tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, but Vivi manages to drape a leg over her head and pull up on the arm, stopping the attempt by locking in the Agonizing Ecstasy!
Pond: Robichaud caught her! Out of nowhere!
Minoru Asano: A battered and beaten Vivi might have just pulled one out of the fire here! She’s got that submission locked in, tight!
Immediately, Shozo Arino enters the ring to save his proverbial sister, pushing the predicament over, and then stomping on Robichaud’s head to make the save official.
Pond: Arino breaks it up, though! These eight person tag bouts are SO hard to win, with three potential saviors on the ring apron at all times!
Arino makes no move to leave the ring, grabbing Vivi by the hair. Anna Giovanna has seen enough, doubling Arino over with a wicked hook to the gut, before setting him up for one of her trademark techniques, the inverted Northern Lights Bomb.
Minoru Asano: Anna got Shozo up!
Pond: And she DRILLED him with the Vento Aureo! Right on the top of his head! But Shozo still did his job - Lannister might have had to tap out to the Agonizing Ecstasy if Shozo hadn’t broken it up!
Sue makes his way into the ring, and lunges at Anna, catching her with a vicious surprise headbutt, dropping Anna to the mat.
Minoru Asano: Just as quick, though, Sue gets in and takes Giovanna out!
He doesn’t have time to rest, though, because Simon climbs into the ring, and charges, bicycle kneeing the REVOLUTION newcomer on the butt of the jaw, sending Sue tumbling between the ropes and out to the floor!
Minoru Asano: Raines hit the Phuket on Sue! The newest member of REVOLUTION’s out of it on the floor!
GRENDEL steps over the top rope, sneaking up behind Raines as best as a monster can. When Simon turns around, he promptly gets popped up and powerbombed to the canvas, courtesy of the the EXTINCTION EVENT!
Pond: GRENDEL returns the favor! Bodies are piling up!
One of the actual legal competitors in the match, Mistress Vivi, flies at GRENDEL as he smack-talks Simon. Hooking the beast’s head, she swings around in a full-revolution Tornado DDT before spiking GRENDEL head-first to the mat!
Minoru Asano: Hurricane Vivienne! This contest has gone completely out of control!
The other legal competitor, Elizabeth Lannister, charges the voodoo priestess, having gotten herself back in gear, but Vivi drops down, forcing Elizabeth to run over her. As Lannister bounces off the ropes, Vivi gets up a bit too late, causing both competitors to crack heads, falling over in a heap as Anna, Simon, Sue, Shozo and GRENDEL try to collect themselves, and get back out to the ring apron, to be ready for possible tags.
Minoru Asano: They cracked heads! Robichaud and Lannister got crossed up, and they hit heads in the middle of the ring! They might both be out!
Neither moves, even as the official starts to lay down the ten count. By the time it reaches three, Vivienne stirs, crawling towards her corner, trying to clear out the cobwebs as best she can as Elizabeth remains motionless on the canvas.
Pond: Mistress Vivi seems to have gotten the better of it, though! She’s on her way to the corner, and if she can get in a fresh teammate, Lannister is ripe for the pickings!
Vivienne makes it to the corner. Seeing Anna and Simon both weary from the melee, barely recovered, she turns to Damon, who nods his head solemnly, and extends his hand for the tag.
Minoru Asano: Alexander’s got the tag! It’s the moment of truth, kids!
Damon steps into the ring, walking over to Elizabeth’s still downed body. Only now does she seem to be coming around, woosily looking up at Damon as he picks her up to her knees.
Pond: Come on, Damon! This is it! You’ve got this!
Damon Alexander looks down at Elizabeth Lannister, clutching at his kneepads, his legs. Crawling up his body. He looks into her eyes, the wounded gazelle gambit in full effect from Elizabeth.
And in that moment, one thing seems utterly, irrevocably true.
Shozo Arino was...right.
Minoru Asano: He can’t pull the trigger!
Pond: Look at him! He looks... shattered.
Damon steps away from his ex-girlfriend, letting her fall to the canvas with a thud, nearly motionless. He scans his partners on the ring apron one by one, eyes falling on Anna, Vivi, and finally...Simon.
Damon Alexander: I can’t do it, Simon. Please...do what must be done.
Simon looks at one of his two best friends, and nods his head, silently, extending his hand for the tag.
Alexander tags in Raines, who steps into the ring. Carefully regarding the crafty Lannister, he sets himself up in a fighting stance, bouncing on the balls of his feet, poised to take Elizabeth’s head off with one of his martial arts kicks.
Minoru Asano: Young Damon couldn’t do it!
Pond: But he has three friends who certainly can, and one of them’s been called in to deliver the finishing blow!
Simon’s face is as serious as a heart attack as he waits for Lannister to fight her way back up - to hands and knees, then up to one knee, her head down. Still Simon waits, for her to look him in the eyes before uncorking the intended roundhouse.
By the time the Lioness of (R)W does so, though, there’s a small, tight smile on her proud face.
Minoru Asano: …
Poised to kick, Simon suddenly finds his wrist seized. Another hand pushed on his shoulder. Off-balanced, Raines body jerked forward, only to be reeled back in and promptly decapitated.
...with the
SUPERNOVA LARIAT.
Pond: Damon...Damon Alexander just took his best friend’s head off!
Raines falls to the mat in a heap. It takes Anna Giovanna and Mistress Vivi a moment to react, to process the traitor in their midst, and that’s more than enough time for Sue and GRENDEL to clear the ropes and charge the opposite corner, Sue driving a shoulder into Anna’s midsection to send her careening to the floor, and GRENDEL offering up a FACE FULL OF BOOT to Vivi, to the same result as the Japanese crowd jeers - a sound that Shozo Arino merely shakes his head at on the apron.
Minoru Asano: How...how long has this been planned? Was...was that discussion two weeks ago all a ruse? Did Damon Alexander set his friends up from the very start?
With one partner turncoat, and the other two taken out by the REVOLUTION, there’s no one to save Simon Raines as Elizabeth Lannister makes the cover, cinching the leg tightly.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
*DING DING DING!*Pond: REVOLUTION has won this eight person tag, but that’s not even half the story here! Damon Alexander has…
Minoru Asano: Turned on his friends! He was the man who put this all together, though! The man who stood up to Shozo Arino on behalf of (R)evolution Wrestling! I don’t understand this!
Pond: I’m willing to bet it has a lot to do with Elizabeth, Minoru.
Whatever the case, all that remains is for David Zinkus to do his job.
David Zinkus: Your winners of this contest, by pinfall...REVOLUTION!
Simon Raines, for his part, manages to come to. As he does, the memories of what happened before he got his head taken off return. He realizes that he’s alone - where Vivienne and Anna are he can’t see, because he’s lying on the mat.
But when he sees Damon and Elizabeth standing together, cordially - that much is enough to tell him two things.
One, Damon Alexander, his best friend, is a traitor.
Two, Simon is in
a lot of trouble.
Minoru Asano: Kid, get out of there! Now! Fast!
When Simon Raines struggles to his feet, it’s in the midst of the five members of the REVOLUTION. His eyes lock onto those of Damon Alexander. Swallowing hard, Simon glares daggers at his best friend, looking for the words to damn the Demon with.
Alexander, for his part, raises his arms up across his chest, forming an “X” with them, and Simon’s eyes only widen.
Pond: ...is Damon Alexander suggesting that he was X?
Minoru Asano: But Sue was X…
Pond: It’s a Shozo Arino plan. I’m going to go with Damon Alexander being X, because I expect Shozo now to say that was the plan all along on Twitter.
Simon doesn’t get the chance to lash out, though, because Shozo Arino is still a bit miffed at being shown up earlier in the bout. With Simon’s back to him, he charges, and this time drives his right boot into the back of Simon’s head with the EVOLVING TIMES! Raines drops to the canvas like a shot, as the leader of REVOLUTION turns to Sue, offering up the Artist of War.
GRENDEL picks Simon up, steadying Raines’ weakened form for Sue. Measuring Raines carefully, Sue spins, driving his elbow into the butt of Simon’s jaw. Raines collapses to the mat in a heap on impact, limbs contorted.
Pond: It’s All Over!
Minoru Asano: Unfortunately, no. I think it’s just starting.
Pond: No, that’s Sue’s spinning back elbow!
By now, Anna Giovanna is back up, and seeing the carnage in the ring, she climbs to the apron, trying to step through the ropes. Damon Alexander is there, though, cutting her off with a kneelift to the face that sends her slumping back to the apron, rolling off it to the floor once again.
Minoru Asano: What has gotten into that young man? This is despicable! They were his friends!
With Damon’s diversion over with, he comes back to the fray just in time to see Shozo and GRENDEL lifting a dead-weight Simon up for Elizabeth Lannister. She hooks his leg carefully, before snapping him to the mat with a swinging fireman’s carry slam, completing the Debt Fulfilled!
Pond: We’ve got to get security out here SOON, folks! There won’t be anything left of Raines, otherwise! Come on, Stearns! For the love of God, get someone out here!
Mistress Vivi takes her turn as she sees the REVOLUTION distracted. With rage in her eyes, she flies into the ring. Damon Alexander is the first thing on her mind, but as she charges, the gigantic hand of GRENDEL wraps itself around her throat, stopping her dead in her tracks. GRENDEL runs forward, shoving Vivi over the top rope. The force is such that her body tumbles over the top, lands on her heels, and goes careening, back-first, into the guardrail, the air leaving her body in a rush.
Minoru Asano: That man is flat out frightening, folks. No other word describes him.
Pond: There’s just too many of them! Robichaud and Giovanna can’t get into the ring!
Shozo Arino shakes his head, and gestures to Damon and Elizabeth, and then to the floor. The two of them move as one to the floor, Damon moving to stomp away at Anna, Elizabeth attacking Vivi, in an effort to keep Raines’ potential help immobilized.
Minoru Asano: You are right, Pond. SOMEONE needs to get out here!
Simon Raines still tries to get up, his hands reaching out, grabbing at the boots of Shozo Arino, who hovers over the fallen Artist of War. Arino lifts Raines up, setting him in suplex position, a triumphant look on the face of the REVOLUTION’s leader.
Pond: Shozo wants to end Mr. Raines’ story, and there’s no one to stop it!
In that, though, Pond is wrong, as a cheer comes up from the crowd in attendance, because there’s a large man charging down the aisle, fed up with seeing his friends assaulted by REVOLUTION, and ready for action.
Minoru Asano: That’s Naiser King, out from the back! And he’s armed, no less!
The 6’7” newcomer slides in under the bottom rope, steel chair in hand. He beelines towards Shozo Arino, just as the leader of the REVOLUTION elevates Simon for his take on the Shouten Kai. King swings for the fences, DRIVING the steel chair into the back of Shozo! Arino groans in pain, releasing Simon and falling to his knees.
Pond: He HAS to be! It’s FIVE ON ONE, for crying out loud!
Sue is the first to charge to Naiser, but the big man side-steps and swings the chair downwards at an angle! The blow strikes Sue in the knees, and sends him tumbling forward to the mat, clutching at his legs.
Minoru Asano: He’s not doing badly so far, you’ve got to admit!
Lannister and Alexander stop their assault on Vivi on the floor long enough to see the threat in the ring. As one, they charge into the ring, only to EAT a DOUBLE leaping shoulderblock from Naiser King that sends them both right back from whence they came!
Pond: All the King’s Men! This newcomer to (R)W is dominating REVOL--
There’s only one problem for Mr. King, and that’s the tiny little detail that he forgot someone. Unfortunately, the guy he forgot is the monster of REVOLUTION, and as he is wont to do, he promptly delivers a FACE FULL OF BOOT to Naiser! The slightly less big guy drops like a stone, and an angry GRENDEL grabs King by the tights, picking him back up to a standing position.
Minoru Asano: He can only do so much though! Simon’s out! Anna is out! Vivienne is out!
Pond: And he’s about to be going
up.GRENDEL pops King up in the air, only to catch him mid air and drive him practically THROUGH the mat with the EXTINCTION EVENT!. The monster of REVOLUTION picks the newcomer up and simply slings him through the ropes, where he comes to rest alongside Vivi and Anna, both also dead to the world on the mats at ringside.
A pained Shozo Arino returns to his feet, and beckons Elizabeth and Damon to return to the ring a well. With a look on his face that practically
screams “now, before we were so rudely interrupted…”, he lifts the dead-weight Simon Raines back up again, hooking him in suplex position for the End of Your Story…
...but then shakes his head. Still holding Simon, he pushes Raines into Damon Alexander’s waiting arms. There’s no microphone, but those with sharp ears hear Shozo’s missive to the newest member of his family.
Shozo Arino: This is your story to end, brother. Not mine.
End it.
Damon Alexander looks at the nearly-unconscious man who his body is practically propped up against. For the briefest of moments, there is something in his eyes that looks vaguely like...remorse. There is, though, no turning back, and no one more than Damon knows what he’s gained from his decision.
Once again, he grabs Simon’s wrist, but this time he executes the proper form, hammerlocking Raines’ arm, facing Raines towards the outside of the ring, where Anna, Vivi, and Naiser lay in a heap. Simon’s eyes open, and just as shock at Naiser’s presence registers, Damon pushes him outwards.
The Artist of War opens his mouth, to say something, anything -- but before the words can come, he’s being jerked back into range for Damon Alexander to take his head off one more time with his free arm.
Minoru Asano: ANOTHER Supernova Lariat! I can’t imagine that this is what Jimmy Riley expected Damon would use it for when he bestowed the move on him!
This time, Simon’s body contorts on impact, landing face-down, arms and legs splayed out in an X shape. Arino nudges Simon’s head with his boot, and seeing no movement from the Artist of War, Shozo finally nods, and points to the entry way.
Pond: Thank God this is over.
GRENDEL steps over the top rope first, leading the proverbial charge. Shozo and Sue follow the big guy out of the ring. Damon and Elizabeth, though, take another moment to survey the carnage the REVOLUTION has left in its wake.
Satisfied, they leave the ring as well, walking up the aisle hand in hand.
Minoru Asano: With Alexander in their fold, and Sue as well...REVOLUTION has a significant presence in Revo, now. It has Kiriko Miura, in Four Islands Pro Wrestling. Shozo Arino’s vision has gone global, and if what we’re seeing is any indication, it may well be unstoppable.
At the top of the ramp they stand, five strong. They raise their arms in the air as one, unified and strong, and with four of (R)W’s most promising young talents strewn throughout the ringside area.
Pond: For Minoru Asano, I’m Pond! Thank you for watching, everyone! And I’m afraid my esteemed colleague is right. For better or worse, the REVOLUTION has come back home, and sown new seeds for the future. Goodbye, everyone!
On that depressing statement, we fade to black.
WINNER: REVOLUTION
