Today, the joint card for the FIPW x RW show, dubbed "FUSION" was released to the media.
Caleb Storm will get another crack at (R)evolution Wrestling World Champion Jaina Frost, but the two will be armed with partners. Storm will go into battle with Kintaro Higashikata, as the pair of fan favorites do battle with Frost and Kenjiro Ito. Will Golden Storm prevail, or will FUSION see the dawning of a new Ice Age?
Daniel Lanning hits like a truck. Everything Naoki Arishima does hurts like Hell. Officials jumped at the chance to pair these two men, with the (R)W graduate Arishima getting a chance to prove his superiority against a man who's always only one Taskmaster away from a three count and a payday.
Part-time (R)evolution Dojo trainer Seymour Almasy felt left out of the fun on the Trainer's Choice matches at the coming R to the Core show, and asked for a chance to face a student of his choosing. He selected Anderson Cobalt, the self-proclaimed Ace of RW. While Almasy's had a tough start to his Four Islands career, he knows something about being an ace. Can he right the ship against Anderson, or will Cobalt prove the future is now and pick up the biggest win of his career?
Tag team action will also be highlighted in a huge four corners tag bout, with Samoan Storm and The Confederacy representing FIPW, and Damage, Inc. and GOTHRA & Emi Watanabe representing (R)W. Under elimination rules, this will go a long way to proving what team is dominant - and a successful (R)W team could well find itself back for future tours as the FIPW tag division begins to solidify.
Patrick Flanagan loves to drink and fight. He's Irish. Jackie the Lad loves to drink and fight. He's English. Sometimes, matches simply book themselves.
For the second time, Kiriko Miura will lead a team of REVOLUTION members into battle against a Four Islands army, and once again, Akira Tamura will oppose her. Miura will be accompanied by the (R)W branch of REVOLUTION, in the form of Sue, Damon Alexander, and Elizabeth Lannister. Keiichi Ito, Yasushi Iguchi, and Shun Akiyama will back up Tamura, in what looks primed to be a show-stealing collision.
Sworn friends Mistress Vivi, Naiser King and Simon Raines will team together for the first time to battle a team of FIPW's young stars. Tomohiro Ikeda and Yousuke Abe will undoubtedly be looking for revenge against King, and Junji Nagata is the most experienced man in the match. Can his experience overcome the likely cohesion of the Vivi/King/Raines trio?
The show will open with an Open Invitational Battle Royale - open to members of both rosters without a booking. Who's gonna show up? There's only one way to find out!
