At this point, I think it's best to take a tag team of two of the best workers, controversial in their own way. One for his sins, one for the great debate about his place as one of the best workers of all time.
I'm taking Chris Jericho & Chris Benoit. The two not only competed in a historical first time ever TLC match, but the two later went on to dethrone two of the biggest names at the time, Triple H & Steve Austin. Not only that, but they did that while putting on a fantastic rivalry with one another, using this run to launch themselves into the elite category of WWE superstars.

Probably obvious by now, but I'm only chiming in if I don't think Jon's picks are good.
...This one's good, though, besides him apparently accidentally a word in there, seeing as how The Canadian Violence Connection weren't in the first TLC match (they were in the first four-way and first regular TV TLC!).

And ironically, Clint also mentioning I missed a word brought him to ALSO miss a word.

*insert expletives here*
So between Jon and Nick, my first pick amd back up picks were taken... *more expletives*
So... I was hoping it wasn't going to come to something as obvious, but I'm going with the good ole Hardy Boyz... And I guess it could be worse. In their hey day as a team, no one can deny they were exciting to watch. Jeff going for it with the crazy spots/bumps and Matt could still move around without his body jiggling for minutes after. Back in the days when Matt wasn't fat... When the craziest stuff Jeff did to himself was dye his hair different colors...

Let's get this party started!! My choice is going to one of my favorites of all time, the Phenomenal One himself, the always awesome AJ Styles.
This choice is simple, really. Anyone with a mind for wrestling and the internet knows how amazing the guy is. I think he'll have what am going to call the "Daniel Bryan" effect... Management may have their doubts, but the fans won't be ignored! They know what they want and the arrival of AJ would stir things up, particularly in the WWE Title picture. Ooooh, think of the possibilities!!

The answer to this is simple.
Swagsuke Nakamura is a rarity in pro wrestling. The man is charismatic without actually being able to connect in native languages. Though he speaks Spanish, Japanese, and English, Nakamura could show up and without a word, captivate an audience. He works a style that translates well to North America, and I think it's safe to say he could come over and be one of the most unique characters in all of pro wrestling. Imagine him simply showing up and without a word giving CM Punk a Boma Ye. That alone would be intriguing enough to make you want to know what he's all about. So there you go, that's my choice.
Oh, and Sally will probably come around to explain later, but she has selected Prince Nana. Thank you.

I'm taking Rocky Romero.
The most pressing why here is why HAVEN'T they gotten him yet. Rocky is AMAZING, full of more charisma in one finger than most of their roster, and able to wrestle amazing matches. If he showed up on RAW tomorrow all it'd take would be one "FOREVAAAAAAAH" to get himself over. And the fact that the 'E has shown no interest in him is absolute bullshit.

Ladies and gentleman, the winner of this round is the man who has one of the biggest upsides in the company. Davey Richards just came number SEVEN on the PWI Top 500. Higher than Kurt Angle, Christian, Austin Aires, etc. He's won four World Titles and five tag team titles. Assuming the WWE can use him properly, there is no way Davey Richards doesn't improve their roster.

Here's your next round, by the way.
You must draft someone that was in the Original ECW. Then you must explain why they are truly the "icon"/MVP/benefited the most from ECW. Enjoy, friends!

OK that's 8 hours. I'm jumping in here.
My pick has what WWE always lacks. Pure technical ability. Sure, they got Danielson. But so frequently they have powerhouses who can barely move, or overrated spot monkeys who think jumping off a stack of tables equals ring ability.
My guy, however, is a true ring technician. One of the great modern ring technicians, and a great all-rounder on top of that. A man who pretty much defines the American Junior Heavyweight ring style. He's trained the majority of the young talent out there these days.
My guy could step into any WWE brand, and instantly make waves, both with his mic and in-ring skill. This is his theme:
And this is his name:
"LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSH

The mid card is dying. Seems like an obvious statement, but it is. The problem? There's nobody who has credibility and name value that isn't already in the main event. Seeing as how the round is simply someone not currently in the WWE, my pick is someone who can instantly come in and bolster either the IC division, the US division, or grab his old partner and help the tag division...
John Morrison.

With another 8 hours gone, I declare Cory too slow.
I can best describe my choice with three words:
ROB
VAN
DAM
That's right. Mister Monday Night. The Whole F'n Show. The Battle Creek Barbarian. One of a kind. The man whose name is synonymous with ECW. A man whose style blends seamlessly between Hardcore and Straight competition. A world champion multiple times over. Both an ECW and WWE Triple Crown Champion.
He became the face of the company. Truly its Icon. Its MVP. Rob Van Dam.
