Dawn of An Era
I open out my wings of glass
Up and towards the wind melted future
So just please don't go
Please don't go
Be close to you

My dream has finally come true. I finally made it happen, yet it’s also a nervous wreck. I was a crazy feeling, but I have to keep calm to earn a victory. However, it could also benefit for not only me, but my daughter as well. I was dressed in a black muscle shirt underneath a denim jacket while I wore jeans. I could feel my black Nike tennis shoes gently on the brake. While picking up Emma from her friend’s house, these thoughts roam through my head. The name, Exodus Pro, even plays through my head repeatedly while I wait for her. It wasn't long until I saw Emma coming out the door with Liz. She looked quite lovely in her green long-sleeved turtle neck shirt along with a black skirt that fell close to her knees. She had her mother’s dark brunette hair and my green eyes. In addition, she had my courage and her mother’s epicness.
”Hi, dad!” She calls out to me. ”I hope I didn’t keep you waiting.”
I couldn’t help but chuckle at her smile. It was one of the main things I loved about her. Finally, I face her with a smile. ”I actually just got here, Pooh-Bear.”
”Dad, please don’t call me Pooh-Bear in front of my friends.” Emma responds with an embarrassing expression.
“Emma, I’ve always called you that since you were a little girl.”
”I know, dad, but I’m not a little girl anymore.” Emma nods for a moment with Liz. Frankly, it was quite complicated for me to accept it sometimes.
It wasn’t long until Liz jumped in with a greeting, “Nice to see you again, Mr. Powers.”
“And nice seeing you again, Liz.” I answered in a friendly matter. It was nice seeing Emma’s friends, especially her best friend. She and Liz have been friends since elementary school.
It was nice seeing Emma so joyful and perky. There’s nothing more filling in the heart than seeing my daughter smile. As I watch Emma get in the passenger side, I finally turn the ignition of my 2008 Honda Accord. However, Emma turns to me with a gentle tug on my denim jacket. She definitely wanted me to tell Liz about Exodus.
”Tell her, dad,” she asked. ”Tell her about your debut in Exodus.”
”I’m sure Emma has told you this, but I am debuting in Exodus in a triple threat match.” I explained to Liz.
“Yeah, so I heard!” Liz answered while approaching the window on my side. “I’ll be rooting for you, Mr. Powers. I know you can take on Cannon and Brooks when you’re the Undead Chaos. Liz chuckled for a moment as she wiped some strands of her dirty blonde hair out of her eyes. She seemed quite confident with me entering the ring. Frankly, it’s nice to have a fan. “So, when are you and Emma leaving for San Diego?”
”We are leaving tonight. Emma and I already have our stuff packed for the trip. Also, my cousin is coming with us as well.” I paused for a moment as I turned back to Emma. She was pulling out her Nintendo 3DS to play Mario Kart. ”You ready?”
”I am,” Emma answered as she looked up from her game. She then faced Liz with a smile. ”I’ll call you later once I arrive into California, Lizzy.”
“Okay.” Liz answered as took a few steps back from the car. “Good luck to your dad!” She then dashed off into her house as I drove off with Emma.
”Miracles can happen.
Hello out there, Exodus Pro, as I’m here to spill blood in the ring. I can be a nice and calm guy, but there is a time one can piss me off. It’s just like Bruce Banner losing his temper and turning into the Hulk. I admit I also have horrible luck with women; however, at least I have a motto where I don’t hit women unless they are in the ring. Quite cheesy of me, but I like to be respectful when the time comes.
Anyways, my name is Jayden Powers, and I’m hailing from Brooklyn, New York. I used to be a so-called delinquent, especially with shoplifting and vandalizing shit. However, it all changed once Emma came into my life. I’m sure guys like Justin Brooks and Johnny Cannon would get a load of amusement. Justin is a guy who seems to hunger for the ring with his strong passion. However, I know little to nothing of the guy, but he seems to go out like a military veteran wanting to serve his country. I can see it in you, Justin. We definitely need more guys like you; however, it’s not always going to be a walk in the park. When you and Cannon come in the ring with me, tables turn a lot. Sorry to tell you this, Justin, but your luck of pampering is about to end. You’re actually very lucky to live a life I once dreamt about.
I’ve always wanted to dream of having folks that cared, going to college one day, and become a success. However, it didn’t come for me. On the other hand, I manage to have a lucky star in the end with a beautiful daughter. It’s the only thing I have to brighten me mood. You see, Justin, life’s a bitch, but we all have to deal with it once in a while. In the end, it’s going to be quite chaotic. When it comes to facing a man like me, it’s a road through Hell and back. I could even be twice as scary as Daisuke.
Be careful with what you wish for.
Speaking of so-called stars, I now come to you, Cannon. You seem to be quite a movie-star type with your expensive sunglasses and piles of cash. I know nothing about you as well, but I’ll tell you right here that this ain’t a live-action movie we’re dealing with. We’re talking now about actual violent adventures in the ring. I may not come off as famous or well-known, but I have a heart of gold. Am I eligible to take you on? I sure am. It’s time to put that pride behind you as I’m going to wake you up from living the dream. You have your experiences which I’m okay with, but you won’t find Fight Club here.
Technically, it’s rule one of your handbook.
With that, men, I wish you both a good luck at the show. It’s time for a close-up in this scene.
Lights, camera, and action.”
