He sat in front of his television, studying things carefully. The way the people on this tape moved smacked of his own training. It was the reason that he had to destroy them.
It would be the only thing that would give him a sense of fufillment.
It wasn't the only thing that stuck out on the tape, however. The other man facing Jonathan Collins caught his eye. The younger man fought with a sense of entitlement and a fury he didn't always see. He liked this other man, he was surprised he hadn't come across him yet. It was one of those things that he wanted to know more about, whether it would lead to nowhere or somewhere much more interesting. It was the reason he raised his hand and almost instantly the clacking of heels tapped against the floor.
"Yes, Iwakuma-san?" the decidedly feminine voice spoke.
"I want to know everything you can find out about the man Collins is facing on this tape. I've never seen someone frustrate him like this," Daisuke told her.
"As you wish, Iwakuma-san," she said, clacking off again. Audrey Lloris wasn't just good at her job. She had been great at her job, and maybe she had made Daisuke a little more tolerable around his confidants. He was tended to the way he felt he was entitled to. He was the lord of the manor and she his faithful servant. It had even alleviated the pressure he had placed on his cousin Itsumo Ichi. Ichi had been under constant stress to follow his cousin's way, bend to the doctrine he had placed on their dojo after he had been considered its new ace. As he got up and looked on at the swaying hips of his new assistant, he smirked to himself. Every now and then, his new sensei had blessed him with gifts that didn't always extend to the ring.
The talents of Ms. Lloris was only a handful of that example.
Daisuke walked to his desk and looked at his iPad. Emails were sparse, but it mattered little. The time was getting closer for the first EXODUS Pro show, and his first step in ending the myth that was Jonathan Collins. His plan had slowly come together in other manners, and he had secured his first weapon, the training and wisdom of Jon's most recent sensei.
"Allow me to ask you a question, Iwakuma. Do you really think you have the tools to put an end to Jonathan Collins?" a voice asked him in the darkness. It had startled Daisuke, immediately causing him to look up. It wasn't the same visage he saw in his trip to Ellum. In fact, he was staring face to face with a younger man, one that few would have ever expected to be the same man.
"Tell him that he need not send any of his other visages. I am a little more enlightened than others. I understand that we are but a legion, he need not make his point with me," Daisuke told the young man.
"We like to make our point. Besides, our original form is needed elsewhere for other things. There is no rest for our kind of wicked," the other young man told Daisuke. Daisuke only nodded, knowing it to be true.
"So what brings you to me tonight?" he asked.
The other man just smirked at Iwakuma. "We wanted to see if you were ready for the first episode of EXODUS. A good showing could put you one step closer to the first target in getting you to Jonathan Collins," he said as he glanced at Daisuke.
"I'm more than ready. Do you really need to ask?" Daisuke responded as he stepped closer. "I have plans in place to at least advance to the Winter Road. My cousin is in the match, he will not interfere with my victory. On top of that, I think you will be pleased to know that I do not plan on working alone," he told the other, nodding.
"I will be pleased when the job has been finished. We will all be pleased," he told young Daisuke, who he came to and looked at him. Regardless of what seemed to be almost no age difference, Daisuke knew who his master was, and dropped to a knee and bowed his head. "Don't you worry, my young one. We will do what is needed."
"We will bring the reckoning. If we cannot save professional wrestling, then we shall destroy and rebuild until it's suitable again," Daisuke said quietly, head bowed.
"You have learned much from me. Do what must be done," the young man said, walking to the door to let himself out. "Oh, and don't think I didn't notice the lipstick on your collar. Ms. Lloris working overtime?"
"We do what is needed," Daisuke said with a smirk.
"Quite," the man replied.
As the man left, Audrey returned with papers and a smirk on his face.
"I have a name and I have some vital information, Iwakuma-san," she told Daisuke, coming over to him, rather pleased with herself. Daisuke nodded as she whispered in her ear, only forcing a smirk to come across the face of the young man.
"Is that so?" Daisuke asked her.
"I've gone over it several times, it's confirmed," Audrey told him.
"Very intriguing. Does the other one know?" he asked.
"Not to my knowledge. There are many things he is blissfully ignorant on," Audrey replied.
"Good. Set up a meeting. I imagine this will only bring good tidings to us," he said. After a chuckle, Daisuke watched as Audrey began moving to the phone to set up what needed to be done, leaving Daisuke to walk over to the stairs and call upward.
"Ichi! Come here, cousin! We're going out to a concert tonight!" Daisuke shouted. "We're going to go see your favorite band!"
It would be the only thing that would give him a sense of fufillment.
