Okay, I've taken enough time to stop marking out. As far as feed back goes...
- I'll try not to over hype any segments I was apart of too much. As far as the opener, I think it set the tone, and considering things that have happened behind the scenes as far as storylines and OOC are concerned, I think this set up the World Title match perfectly, and just as important, makes people care about Cannon as a face (as if anyone would be cheering for Furor anyway).
- Tiffini Stearns quickly becoming another one of my favorite faces. She's exorcised her Griffin problem, which has been a recurring subplot in her metamorphosis. In doing so we've seen a side from Mrs. Chuckolate, a mean streak that makes me want to see her rip Savannah's face off. Hopefully two of my favorite handlers can get enough time to make that match live up to the build that they've worked hard to create in what has been an underrated feud these last two cycles.
- Anytime Fiona is back is a great thing for EXODUS. Unless Strike, Kane, or someone of THAT caliber is in the Crucible, I'd be afraid for you guys participating in it.
- The Triple Threat was wrote well enough that Ambrosia looked strong, despite Lexy emerging the victor. Chapel continues to look strong as her undefeated streak and legend only builds. Have I told you that she's my favorite character in the company?
- The Tag Title Match served the purpose of setting up THE RETURN OF THE PERFECT EVIL. Obviously, Trouble will get a good challenge in The Ninth Gate. Lots of storylines there. If this goes a cycle or two, I wouldn't be against it. As far as Iwakuma himself goes, boy did he choose the right time to return to EXODUS, as his former, and greatest disciple is wreaking immense havoc in the company.
- Intrigued by where Ambrosia and Mr. Matthews go from here. Power couple? Tag Team? Hmmm. I'll keep my close eye on this one, considering the fact that the former has already made a splash in her first two shows (the Brooks win, calling out Angela).
- Again, my promo served it's purpose. You either loved it, or loved it. Christum Furor being Christum Furor, although I did have some nice lines in there that I really enjoyed writing. Needless to say, this story with Furor and Lifer is incredible, and I don't care if I'm blowing my own horn here. Definitely one of the best feuds I've had in fedding, period.
- AND we continue to tell THAT story. Lifer's character development HERE was surreal. His evolution into the vigilante hero has been incredible to watch since his defection from G&M. Thanks to Clint for allowing usage of Jimmy, considering the fact that Riley's been one of the few people in Zack's corner. To create a great villain in wrestling, you MUST build up worthy challengers and heroes to go against them. Zack Lifer, despite all of his faults, is a great hero in THAT sense, which makes him one of the most compelling characters in the company - regardless of anyone's personal opinion of him.
- Cleon Gray and Savannah Taylor have a creepy little teacher's pet thing going on. I'll allow it. xD
- Hope all parties enjoyed the GFC Tag Match. Tried to make everyone look as good as possible.
- The only problem I had with the Stearns segment with the lack of description filler to break things up again, but that's nitpicking. I'm a perfectionist. As far as the segment itself, good to see the lovers on the same page considering some marriageable issues they've had (if you follow them on twitter, which you should.)
- Good match between Cannon and Brooks. The champ looks like what a strong World Champion should look like going into his first defense. Brooks doesn't look bad in the loss, in fact, this only elevates him. If he can pick up the momentum from here and put a little bit more into his work in ways that I've personally seem him do in the past, I think JB will be a MAJOR player in his third EXODUS stint.
- Savannah looks like someone you shouldn't take lightly, which was the point of the match and the finish. Fiona has been built up so well over these last few years that she doesn't lose anything in a DQ victory. Having Taylor try to take out the Seraph increases her legitimacy, and having Tiffani run in for the save just adds more fuel to a feud that has plenty fire.
- Considering I'm not an avid fan of writing multi-person matches (although people seem to like my work in these), I had fun writing this. It's always nice seeing newer guys take the ball and run with it. Chuck Matthews, you certainly have my attention now. Dan Stein, I'm hoping your stay with us is much longer, and hopefully whatever issues Abby's handler had this show hopefully he/she has them sorted out going forward. Nevertheless, I hope you all enjoyed the match.
This show overall is probably one of the best we've recently had from a storyline perspective (we've had a lot of those now that I think about it.) There wasn't a whole lot of wrestling, but the matches that did get a burn and a clean finish were were well written, and have the winners looking strong going forward as we head into Absent Are The Saints.
