"He's been here. He might still be here," he said to Audrey. It was a rare occasion out that Daisuke wasn't flanked by Norihiro Akashi, or more than three people. What he saw was more than just the leftover remnants of a person that once lived in this apartment, but now signs that the one person he had to make sure was dead had been very much alive.
"What makes you so sure?" she asked him, starting to grow a look of concern.
"Hal loves Japan. This is where he found me. This is where he sent Collins to finish his training. This is where Hal inherited the curse," he said to Audrey. "Though as to why anyone would refer to it as a curse is beyond me."
"What does it entail?" she asked, advancing to sit on the bed of this crappy apartment that looked too lived in for its own good.
"The Perfect Evil is supposed to be a legendary curse. You can't feel pain. You can't experience true joy in life. I deliberately cut myself off of anything that would remotely feel good on this planet just so I can know what it feels like to have it myself someday. They say it makes you impervious to pain, impossible to be killed. A man that controls The Perfect Evil could easily control the world itself if manipulative and charismatic enough...and given how charismatic Hal is, it's a wonder he hasn't made himself emperor just yet," Daisuke chuckled before Audrey looked up at him, uncrossing her legs as she let them part slightly.
"You feel nothing when I touch you?" she asked, almost sadly, but subconsciously trying to see if she could provoke a reaction from him.
"No love. Nothing. I feel only what I allow myself to feel only because I haven't been blessed with it. He chose Jonathan Collins as his heir, and now I have to eliminate them both to have what I believe should be mine. I served him dutifully a year ago in his attempt to sway Jonathan back to his side. I had hoped him seeing just how pathetic and weak Jonathan had become would convince him I was the new worthy heir. That by displaying Jon's weakness, he would allow me the honor of killing him and taking his place. The demise of LEGION didn't destroy his faith in Jonathan, but made him question his own. Now he's trying to find a way to break the curse for himself without passing it down to Jonathan," he said to her as he looked down at her.
"Then to you?" he asked.
"No, it would put an end to it. The whole thing would disappear, all because he developed a conscience. Only Kadence believes the only way for him to break the curse is to pass it to Jonathan, who is the only person Hal's ever seen to control his inner monster. The only problem is that by Hal thinking he can do it on his own, he's gone into hiding," he told her, slowly removing his jacket as he approached her, smirking as he looked at her.
"How do you even remove the curse from yourself?" he asked.
"Death," he said bluntly.
"So..." she said, looking up at her in delight.
"To get my birthright, I have to kill them both," he told her, slowly approaching to pin her down to the bed.
"Let me watch," she whispered, almost breathlessly as he pinned her down, knowing that she was anticipating the future as much as he was now.
"And when they are dead, there will be nothing left. And Kadence will be forced to hand over the angel," he told her, leaning in to kiss her neck softly.
"The wretched seraph that protects Collins?" he asked.
"No, the angel that Kadence took as a plan to bring Hal home in case Jonathan can't find him. She wants him dead, and she's the only person with a lack of a heart to kill Hal besides me is herself. That angel may just be the thing that breaks the curse. If the story is true, she's the one," he told her.
"How does anyone even know she's the one?" Audrey asked breathlessly, shivering underneath him.
"She put out the flames of a Phoenix and two became one. Fate drew Darrin Stearns and Jonathan Collins together. It's a shame they'll meet their final days together," he told her, slowly starting undress the woman as she moaned in appreciation. "I put the plan in motion, darling. I did the deed for Kadence and now I'll finish my own plan. Whether she likes it or not, I'm a step ahead," he chuckled.
It was the last bit of enjoyment he had before the two intertwined and became one once again.
((OOC: Pete and I agreed to angle our match to tell a story, but I had a story to tell, so...here.))
