Excellent show. Everything felt like it had a purpose, and everyone got to shine in some way, and there were some seriously awesome moments (tied for favourite: Weapon misting SalTal to start their match, and the quiet moment between Jonathan and Fiona). EXODUS is one of the few feds that makes each show a self-contained story from start to finish, and Ascendency was a great example of that. Congratulations to all the winners, the roleplays for this event were incredible.
My only criticism is I did kinda feel there were too many big matches packed into the second half of the card, and I found myself flagging a bit during CK/Brett which wasn't fair because it was a great match. I think rearranging the running order a little would have helped.
Speaking of that match: FACE TURN FOR BRETT SANDS??!?!? WHAT THE ACTUAL

-Favorite segment: Andreas Lasiewicz/Jonathan Collins. I'm pretty sure that Andreas made all the children in attendance have nightmares that night. -Favorite match: That tag team title match was awesome to me. -Magnus Gunner is amazing, and all of G&M is awesome; Lexy Chapel vs Kerry Windsor was a damn good thing; Chuck Matthews though? Him > All you hos. Also, Chris Strike is WEAPON?
I kinda made the guess that it was him by the way WEAPON tweeted at Brett a few weeks ago.

Phenomenal show. There were doubts in house as to what it would have turned out to be, so I'm visibly stoked about results. As usual, things were pieced together perfectly, all the segments felt like they mattered (because they did) and built toward something bigger.
Speaking of storylines - Las I humbly bow to you. I professed that G&M would have the best promo on the card, but MANNNN. The feeling I got reading that piece and the emotions you invoked with every single word it was just... SURREAL. I literally felt Andreas' anger, his rage and his disappointment toward Jonathan. That was an incredible job you did. THAT is how you tell a story. BIG kudos!
I knew who WEAPON was, but his unmasking was done perfectly as expected. Hype as fuck for Chris Strike 2.0, you have no idea. Furthermore, the story he told this cycle was exceptional. At this point, the War Machine is the perfect antagonist to Furor and I'm looking forward to going head to head down the road.
Of course, Sally was phenomenal as well. Closest match on the card in my opinion and the Talfourd heel turn has been everything I hoped it would be. I have so much emotional attachment to this character right now I CANNOT wait until we FINALLY get Sally/Fiona.
Justin Brooks - I care about this character again. Welcome back into my life negro. I have missed you.
Kerry has joined Lexy in that group of my new favorite characters.
As far as matches:
- The tag match took me LITERALLY all of Monday. Hope you enjoyed it. Aside from being infuriated that it took me so long to finish it so I tried to make sure everyone looked good.
- I had SOOO much fun writing Lexy/Windsor. If you did not like THAT match go jump off a bridge cause I liked it and that's all that matters. >.>
Chris is like my Brazilian form when it comes to match-writing. Sally/Strike was fucking amazing. Started hot, ended HOT. Beautiful.
Kane/Sands - great job by #BasedKane and #DammitSpiro. Underrated story this cycle and Sands actually went out better than I thought.
Other things I want to touch on:
- Paige, fucking congrats. She tends to be forgotten sometimes but what she has done with Savannah and the San Diego Bay title has been something MAJOR.
- Fiona, I wanted to make-it up to you following the maelstrom of personal issues that prevented me from giving you the match you deserved at Desperate Times last year for all the hard work you put into the storyline. I'm glad I could accomplish that goal this time around. You brought it and I thank you for the great match. STILL and ALWAYS my favorite opponent.
- EXODUS take a bow for the post-Ascendancy responses. You made the show feel bigger than way it was and the way you've all driven the storylines have been perfect - ESPECIALLY Steve, Las. The emotional reactions and backlash has got me REALLY stoked going forward.

Late, I know. But I figured such was the entertainment I got out of all the efforts of others that I should at least say something, right?
Without a doubt, this show had the BEST promos I’ve seen top-to-bottom, hands down. I screamed with excitement with that Jon/Lassie promo. If there isn’t an award for ‘segment of the year’ then there needs to be one created and given to this one.
Tacked on to that, the Chris Strike reveal was just awesome too. At long last we can start using actual character names! Anyone who thinks that that storyline has hit its peak with the reveal is unfortunately mistaken, knowing Strike.
Tag team match was phenomenal. I mean, I usually skim these matches because I find it hard to keep up. But that was really well written. Great job! Same level of quality clearly went into main event. Edge-of-your-seat stuff that one. Had no idea who was going to win going into the match, and not until the end did I know. Great work, too.
Every time this place puts out a PPV, it’s easy to say “This is the best yet!” and you look back and it’s a true statement. I’ve never been a part of a company with such high quality shows and writers … that get better with each show! Everyone deserves more than they are getting paid.
Great job, everyone, and thanks for everything you do!
