Biography:
Bright Future Left Asunder.
Steve Lenton was considered one of the top Linebacker prospects in Virginia. He was the centerpiece of the Bethel Bruin's defense. He had speed, he hat tackling power, and he had a incredible athleticism. It didn't take long until Stephen committed to a school, he did, committing himself to Virginia Tech, wanting to stay in his hometown. Stephen was a very modest person off the field, but when he got in the game...it was an entire different person. His mentality when playing was "Kill or be killed." Stephen was a very dominating football player.
Sports analysts said that Steve Lenton could possibly go in the first round of the 2005 Supplemental Draft. But...those dreams had crashed and burned soon after. Stephen was involved in a scandal. The entire story was that Stephen had received improper benefits from the scouts. The rumor was that he received over $20,000 if he signed with Virginia Tech. Stephen didn't know anything about that. He didn't get any money, nor did he have anyone give him any gifts.
He tried his hardest to stay away from it. But somehow, some way, the rumor began to blow up, and Lenton's reputation was destroyed. Lenton's football career was over, having been suspended his Senior year of college football. Lenton's stock dropped, though he made it to the Supplemental Draft after the college football season was nearly over with. Lenton tried out for the Buffalo Bills, but they cut him soon after. Lenton was out of work. He tried his hardest to find some way to work. He did have graduate Virginia Tech with a degree in psychology...but people overlooked that on his resume. Picking The Pieces Up.
Lenton was a closet wrestling nerd. He loved professional wrestling when he was in middle school. Wrestling shows were always on for him to watch after he finished his homework. Stephen was a fan until this day. Why mention it? It's the typical story right? But the truth is that Lenton didn't have any other options. Wrestling was something he liked, he watched it all the time, and he had the will power. Though his body was a little out of shape Steve took up the gauntlet. He searched for a decent school near him, but most of the schools' websites were either taken down or out of date.
So he found a school in North Carolina. Now from Hampton, Virginia North Carolina was about a three hour drive. Lenton made the commitment and called the school. He'd get up early in the morning to go to the academy each and every day. His body was back in shape, and Lenton felt...like...he BELONG. He felt as if he had gotten back his life. He hadn't felt this way since he graduated. This was the start of a wonderful road to redemption.
Steve Lenton wasn't doing any of this out of spite. It wasn't the typical story about a wrestling fan turned wrestler. Steve wanted his life back. He wanted the life that was taken from him with a snap of the finger. And he was going to take it back with everything he had. He would train, and train, and train until he couldn't anymore. Entrance Music: "Napalm" by Xzibit
Entrance Description:
The sounds of cheers are heard around the arena. The fans wait in anticipation, almost eager for him to come out. The lights flash a royal blue and suddenly "Napalm" by Xzibit blares. Lenton busts through the curtains. The fans bust into a defying scream of cheers. Lenton is talking to the crowd jumping up and down on the stage, walking from one end to the next. The camera zooms in on his face, "Listen to that!" Lenton exclaims with a smirk. He walks up the ramp with a slight strut, looking out at the crowd.
He stops short and looks around for a moment. He takes it all in, listening to the fans cheer for him. Some of the fans hand touch him. Stephen slaps the hands and continues to make his way up the ramp with his eyes glued on the arena again. Once he makes it to the apron, he looks at the ring and then climbs up on it quickly and stands up on the turnbuckle. The lights around the arena then turn into a spotlight.
The fans continue to cheer as the song begins to break down. Lenton forms a smirk on his face and lifts his arm in the air with enthusiasm. He wipes his mouth and leaps down from the turnbuckle and stands in the ring, circling it. He decides to hit the turnbuckle again standing on it lifting his right arm in the air the same way he did. He takes in the cheers, looking around slowly. Stephen leaps down and stands in his corner, getting ready to fight.
