Character Info
Name: Yukiko Hojo
Twitter Handle (if applicable): @loveyukikolove
Height: 5'5”
Weight: 126 lbs.
Hometown: Shirakawa, Japan
Age: 23.
Years Experience: Seven months training.
Alignment: +4 /-4. Most of the time, Yukiko's a very good person, loyal to her friends, and generally a delight to be around (even if she's a bit overenthusiastic some/most of the time).
And then, there are the times in which you begin to doubt whether that plus sign by the four should in fact be a minus sign instead.
Entrance Music: “Egurite” by Yamamoto Momiji
Entrance Description: Coming soon.
Physical Appearance: Picbase is Chiaki Kuriyama.
Ring Attire: Varying. Most often it's a schoolgirl's uniform (similar to that worn by the picbase in her most famous role), but on other occassions she'll cosplay as any number of characters relevant to the occasion.
Gimmick: Chris Strike's next awful life choice. (Alternatively, go Google “yandere.” I'll wait.)
Personality: For the most part, Yukiko is a sweet and generally kind person who makes friends fairly easily. All in all? She comes across as a pretty good person. There's only one problem. She has this little, tiny, miniscule tendency to get obsessed with people she falls for. Really fucking quickly. Really fucking deeply.
And Heaven and Hell help you if you get in the way of her and her beloved, whatever poor, unfortunate soul that ends up being.
Because, you see, Yukiko hurts the ones she loves. And if she'll do that to someone she loves, just imagine what she'll do to you...
List up to three strengths of your character; they can be in-ring related, personality related, whatever you think helps define your character:
1. Determination. In spite of her slight size and build, Yukiko is a very dogged and determined competitor. When she sets her mind to something (or someone), she does everything she can do that thing (or that person).
2. Speed/Agility. She's fast – and sudden, able to change directions with considerable agility and generally frustrate opponents by running the ropes and sliding between their legs and things like that. As long as she's in the mindset where she wants to do such things, of course...
3. Pipe-chan. Pipe-chan is, naturally, a lead pipe that Yukiko talks to sometimes. When she's in her happier moods, Pipe-chan is dressed up prettly with ribbon and she asks it for advice during matches. When she's in her unhappier moods, she takes it and beats the living fuck out of people with it. Pipe-chan is bestest friend! ^_^
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. Size. She's tiny. This is fairly easy to take advantage of if you can get a hold of her.
2. Technique. Most of what she does is enthuiastic, but a bit sloppy. Her technique is lacking a little bit on most of her moves, even her finishers, which make them a bit more escapable than they might be with more experienced or technical competitors.
3. Being batshit insane. When she's in her yandere mode, she's not much for “rules” or “professional wrestling.” The only things she really will have an attention span for are her beloved and attempting to murder anyone who's getting in the way of her and her beloved having the much sought after HAPPY END. This makes actually winning wrestling matches sometimes...difficult.
Athletic Background: A couple years of swimming. A year or two of ballet training. Practicioner of kendo since she was a small child.
Biography: Yukiko Hojo comes to (R)evolution Wrestling on recommendation of Seymour Almasy, a trainer at the (R)evolution Dojo and EXODUS' Director of Quality Control. Exactly how the two know each other is unknown, but Almasy wrote Darrin Stearns a glowing recommendation as to Hojo's talent and character after meeting her in Japan on his recent excursion there for Four Islands Pro Wrestling.
This is true about 95% of the time, but it's the other 5% that are going to make Seymour (and, to be fair, probably a decent amount of the people Yukiko interacts with on a daily basis) wish that he'd never, ever recommended her for anything other than a stay at Blackthorn Asylum.
Simply put? Yukiko's life is littered with people for whom the mention of the name “Yukiko Hojo” is enough to inspire sheer, unadulterated terror.
And guess what? You might just be next on that list...
Wrestling Style: Energetic high flying and flashy submissions. She wrestles very playfully, similar to her personality. She's in good spirits in the ring for the most part, something that can throw people off who don't expect her to be as bubbly in the ring as she is outside of it.
A lot of her offense focuses on the midsection of an opponent, in an effort to tire them and make the most of her slight weight.
If she's upset, though, she keeps some of the flashy submissions and generally tries to beat the high holy Hell out of you with anything that's not nailed down while she shrieks like an insane harpy. When this happens, she's genuinely sadistic and enjoys the pained screams of her opposition.
Finishers
1. Happy End! ^_^ (yes, the exclamation point and emoticon are part of the move name) - Flying triangle choke. She sets it up on a standing opponent, and will often either try and lean her body weight to land on top of the opponent with the choke held, or rana the opponent head-first into the canvas and then crank down with it. She'll throw in death rolls until the opponent gives in. Against opponents she likes, she may or may not tousle their hair while they're in the hold...
2. LOVE LOVE! - Choke-grip STO. Usually done with a running and leaping start for extra power.
3. Nice Boat - Yukiko grabs Pipe-chan and goes Austin on Rock at WrestleMania X-Seven with it on her opposition. I would say this is in no-DQ matches only, but if she's reaaaally pissed, she'll accept the DQ in exchange for getting to violently destroy her opponent with a lead pipe dressed up in frilly ribbons.
Signature Moves
1. Joshi-style top rope front dropkick – done by bringing her knees practically into her chest and then springing them out into the victim.
2. Tongan Death Grip. Unpleasant to begin with, but Yukiko's nails are sharp.
3. Red Mist – Exactly what it sounds like. Spit into the face and eyes of opposition. Usually only used when she's in full-fledged yandere mode. Soooometimes it's actually her own blood, too!
Regular Moves You don't need to fill out all the slots for moves.
1. Flying Glomp (Dean Ambrose's running tackle/hug thing, with flailing)
2. Leg kicks – a primary form of offense for her, especially against bigger opponents.
3. (Flying) Cross Armbreaker.
4. Double stomps to the abdomen of a prone opponent (also off the top rope, or the apron).
5. Cross kneebar.
6. Single-underhook DDT, sometime preceded with knees to the stomach.
7. Top rope diving double kneedrop to the stomach.
8. Repeated shoulder blocks to an opponent in the corner.
9. Kitchen sink knee.
10. Front Russian Legsweep
11. Basement huracanrana
12. Bridging Indian Death/Mutalock
13. Crucifix rollup (heavier opponents)/Crucifix Driver (lighter opponents)
14. Spinning back kick to the sternum
15. Back senton off the second rope.
16. Tope con hilo to the floor
17. Ducking an opponent's strike, kissing her palm, then hitting a palm strike.
18. Guillotine choke.
19. Top rope moonsault.
20. Running bulldog.
21. Hairpulling, eye gouging, choking, all that fun stuff. (Yandere mode only.)
22. Ripping and tearing at her opponent's fingers. (Yandere mode only.)
23. Possessively hugging, kissing, and generally fondling opponent (Yandere mode only, and only if she has feelings for said opponent.)
24. Extraordinarly blatant low blows (Yandere mode only.)
