The Korakuen Hall is already at full-fledged SUPER NO VACANCY status for the opening of EXODUS Pro’s Japan tour and EXPRO on FX #29...but instead of the opening video package playing out just yet or there being anything going on inside of the ring, there is one person standing in front of a white wall. Jet black hair, eyes staring at the camera lens, covered in a black X Japan t-shirt, tattered jeans and their smile was a rather...cryptic one.
? ? ? : Konban wa, Korakuen Hall. I will be speaking in English for the rest of this interview as to let our North American friends know all too well as to who I am and my intentions here this evening. As you know by now...I am “Sly Red” Reika Seragaki…
A graphic on the bottom of the screen showcases the name and pictures from Reika’s time in Japan wrestling under the “Sly Red” persona as a means of educating the audience.
Reika Seragaki: I wrestled and managed from 2001 until 2009 when a series of injuries and personal burnout caused me to take a step away as an active competitor. During my time as a manager, I had the distinct pleasure to meet and assist one of EXODUS’ own, the now former EXODUS Pro World Heavyweight champion, Chris Strike. As reported earlier last week, he suffered a concussion during his title match that will not allow him to compete here tonight...and thanks to a certain cheat code around these parts, he’s not anywhere in the vicinity either.
Reika narrowed their eyes, shaking their head at the events that ensued the day before the show that caused a mediocre buzz in social media.
Reika Seragaki: However, I am here to delegate the message that I am, once again, reassuming my duties as a manager to Chris Strike going forward in his time with EXODUS Pro. So, for starters, he will be invoking his rematch clause against whoever it is that escapes with the World title at our next iPPV event for a singles match. There will be no Battle Against Honor or Humanity shenanigans like one year ago where Furor and that other hack we don’t see anymore was allowed a shot after a lucky punch or two. That’s the first order of business…
The cameraman moves in, closing up on Seragaki’s face.
Reika Seragaki: The second order of business? When Chris Strike does make his return, he’s expressed an interest in the same kind of gauntlet that the company made him run prior to his championship defense against Abby Park as a means to prepare himself for the upcoming rematch. I’m certain that this proud and strong company will not hesitate in providing him with such talent for the “War Machine” to clash against in the next few weeks. That being said, I do hope that those of you who have had your own share of problems with how my client behaves towards you will be some of the first to step up to the plate...maybe mister silver medal himself or one of the REVOLUTION kids who wants to sink their teeth into something more than the little scraps on the table…
Reika exhaled, placing their hands on the pockets of their jeans.
Reika Seragaki: This is a new era in EXODUS Pro, where its Year Three begins to show who truly belongs at the top and who’s going to be fighting like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. Chris Strike is ready to show that this was nothing more than a minor bump on the road and to bring back the gold around his waist once again. We just simply hope that the rest of the world is ready to deal with that reality. With that said, we hope that you will enjoy the rest of your evening and the showcase you are about to witness…
With a solemn nod, Reika walks off the shot and we go to the opening.

Tokyo, Japan
Dick Morosi: Hello everyone! Live from Korakuen Hall, the legendary venue here inside Tokyo Dome City, it's EXPRO on FX! I'm Dick Morosi, joined alongside by my colleague Seth Ericson!
Seth Ericson: ...You mean another two months here? COME ON, DICK! Haven't I suffered enough already?
Dick looks at Seth as if he's acknowledging him...but continues on as if he was excited about the prospect.
Dick Morosi: It's a Night of Champions here tonight, Seth! All four EXODUS Pro Wrestling titles are on the line as Chandler Scott and Christian Kane defend their titles, and NEW EXODUS World Champion Abby Park and World Tag Team Champions UNCENSORED defend their belts for the first time!
Seth Ericson: That's right, it could be a huge night for REVOLUTION; not only do GRENDEL and Aries Reed defend their belts for the first time, but Devan Whitmore gets a chance to do what Shozo Arino couldn't; dethrone San Diego Bay Champion Chandler Scott!
Dick Morosi: Meanwhile the best International Champion in EXODUS history tries to add a new title to her name; Lexy Chapel is the first challenger for Abby Park, and if you're Christian Kane, you're looking over your shoulder tonight against Mara Collins.
Seth Ericson: Not just that, but Mara's gotta look over her shoulder; Fiona Collins is here tonight and you know those two aren't through trying to tear each other apart! And hey -- SAVANNAH TAYLOR is back tonight!
Dick Morosi: Savannah Taylor returns, plus a pair of newcomers! Let's head up to the ring right now for our first match as one of those newcomers, Ruby Tyler, takes on Justin Brooks!
SINGLES MATCH
JUSTIN BROOKS vs. RUBY TYLER
The spotlights focus on the rampway and Ruby Tyler comes jogging out, stopping at the top of the ramp when the verse ends.
Ruby stops at the top of the ramp as the verse ends, striking a pose with her back to the audience. As the chorus begins, she spins on her heel and runs toward the ring, slapping the hands of her fans as she makes her way to the squared circle.
As she reaches the ring, Ruby slides in under the bottom rope and jumps to her feet, pumping her fist in the air and bouncing around until the song ends.
David Zinkus: Introducing first, hailing from Barstow, California… RUUUUUUUUBYYYYY TYYYYYLERRRRRRRR
The lights out.
The arena is plunged into darkness as Exodus Pro crowd rumbles with excitement as a few cellphone screens light up sprinkling throughout the darkness like fireflies.
The heavy drum and bass of the "March of Death" pours through the PA system as a single spotlight shines at the entrance as from the curtain come the Big Bad Brooks, paying homage to his many months on the Japanese circuit for the KJPW. With a black hood sweatshirt with his hood up over his head, he slowly makes his way towards the ring. Unlike back in San Diego, Justin is recieved with cheers instead of boos, the Japanese fans of Exodus loving the return of it long-lost son. His strides are long and slowly as he finally reaches the steel steps and climbs into the ring. Crossing the ring, he climbs the far turnbuckle and climbs to the second rung before reaching up and pulls his back just as the lights up to a roar of applause.
David Zinkus: And her opponent, hailing from Atlanta, Georgia… JUSTIIIIIIN BROOOOOOKS
As Brooks enters the ring, Tyler slides out, staring up in awe. Brooks stares down back at her and beckons for her to reenter the ring. Tyler looks slightly uneasy for a moment before sliding back inside. Brooks begins stalking Tyler, who attempts to get out of harms way. Instead, she backs herself into a corner. She looks up at Brooks with wide eyes. Brooks charges for Tyler, but she ducks out of the way! Brooks is momentarily stunned and Tyler wastes no time capitalizing on this with a series of punches and forearms.
Dick Morosi: Ruby Tyler in her debut against Justin Brooks and she’s already showing signs of being a scrapper!
Seth Ericson: The question is, can she keep this momentum going? If she slows down for even a moment, she’s going to have an angry Justin Brooks to deal with.
Tyler begins trading blows to the face for knees to the midsection. She grabs onto the ropes for momentum and continues to lay into Brooks. Brooks slides down slightly, obviously beginning to feel the many hits and knees he’s taken so far. Finally, the ref comes in and forces Tyler to back away, giving Brooks a moment to breathe. Tyler objects verbally but does as she’s told, never taking her eyes off Brooks.
Finally, the ref moves aside and Tyler runs back in for the kill. But Brooks has recovered. He scouts Tyler’s oncoming attack and using his raw strength, catches Tyler in midair and throws her into the ring corner! Now it’s Brooks on the assault, returning in kind the forearms and knees to Tyler!
Seth Ericson: What did I tell you, Dick? Turnabout is fair play!
Dick Morosi: Welcome to EXODUS, Ruby Tyler!
Eventually, the ref forces Brooks to back away from Tyler. Tyler slumps to the mat and rolls out of the ring once more. Brooks rolls out of the ring right behind her, refusing to let Tyler escape his grasp. Tyler attempts to crawl away, but Brooks grabs her by the head and slams Tyler into the barricade! Tyler drops like a rock, only to be picked back up by Brooks and rolled up onto the ring apron.
Seth Ericson: Tyler learning the hard way that they hit hard here in EXODUS!
Brooks sets Tyler up and backs away, only to come rushing forward with a knee to the head. The ref hollers from behind the ropes to Brooks to get back into the ring. Brooks just glares at the ref before ignoring him completely. He backs up again, sizing up Tyler and rushes forward, executing a brutal dropkick! Tyler falls from the apron onto the floor.
Dick Morosi: Ruby Tyler has got to be seeing stars after that one! Brooks damn near took her head off with that dropkick!
Seth Ericson: I don’t think the paranormal investigator quite knew what she was getting herself into when she signed that contract with EXODUS, Dick.
Dick Morosi: I’m not quite sure that’s her official job title, Seth.
Seth Ericson: Like it matters.
Meanwhile, Brooks has tossed Tyler back into the ring. He follows her in and goes for a loose cover.
1…
2…
No! Tyler manages to break the count by rolling away from Brooks. Brooks gets to his knee and looks down at Tyler, shaking his head. Though it can’t be heard, he’s clearing mouthing something along the lines of “just stay down, kid”. He gets to his feet and drags Tyler up with him by her head. Setting her up, Brooks delivers a quick, painful looking snap suplex.
Tyler is tossed by the ring corner and uses the ropes to pull herself up. Brooks looks over his shoulder and seeing an opportunity to trap Tyler again, rushes in for the kill. But Tyler is able to duck out of the way, tripping up Brooks in the process! Shaking off some of the cobwebs, she quickly corners Brooks and attempts once more to fight back.
She knees the midsection before putting the boots to Brooks’ knees. She grabs the ring ropes tightly, unwilling to stop her assault. The ref hollers for her to break it up, but she ignores him this time, willed on by the cheering crowd. Brooks slides down to the bottom rope in a sitting position. Tyler, starting to build some momentum now, grabs the ropes on either side and shoves her boot into the throat of Brooks!
Seth Ericson: What a move by the newcomer! She’s learning quickly that in order to topple a monster, you have to pull out all the stops!
Dick Morosi: A very impressive comeback by Ruby Tyler here!
The ref now forces Tyler away, but that doesn’t help much. Tyler walks away willing for only a moment before coming back with a flying knee to the face of Brooks! She follows this up with a series of punches to the head. Brooks has gotten to his feet, though he is staggering. Tyler begins driving her shoulder into his midsection, attempting to down the monster once more. Finally, the ref forces Tyler to walk away.
Tyler walks across the ring, rubbing her face. She turns back around and with a running start, flies towards Brooks with a knee to the chin. Brooks stumbles out of the corner, rubbing his chin. Tyler climbs to the top rope and when Brooks turns her way, she soars through the air and executes a glorious hurricanrana! Tyler crawls quickly over for the cover.
1…
2…
No! Brooks forcibly kicks out, sending Tyler a couple feet away from him.
Dick Morosi: What a move! Ruby Tyler proving that she may just have what it takes to hang with the big dogs here in EXODUS!
Seth Ericson: She was unable to get the three count, but the move was no less impressive! Tyler putting on quite a showing her first time out!
Tyler gets to her feet and begins delivering boots to Brooks. Brooks covers his face as Tyler curbstomps Brooks. Suddenly, Brooks reaches out a hand and trips Tyler up! Tyler falls to the mat but sits up quickly, only to be met with a menacing glare from Brooks. Her eyes widen and she jumps to her feet as Brooks gets to his.
Tyler rushes forward and kicks Brooks behind the knees. She manages to back him into the ropes, but it isn’t enough! When she attempts to grab his arm to sling him, Brooks reverses and sends Tyler into the ropes across the ring. Tyler’s back bounces off the opposite side rope and unable to stop herself, is met with a vicious clothesline from Brooks!
Brooks is quick to capitalize, following Tyler towards the ring corner and bouncing her head off the post. He whips her into the other corner and charges at her, slamming his entire body into her. As she stumbles out of the corner, Brooks hooks the arms and scoops her up easily for a powerbomb! He bounces off the ropes and delivers a brutal legdrop to the throat of Tyler! He goes for the cover.
1…
2…
No! Tyler gets the shoulder up, obviously fighting to stay alive in her debut!
Dick Morosi: Brooks has been dominating Tyler once more, but Tyler is showing real heart here in her debut!
Seth Ericson: No doubt, this gal refuses to stay down, much to the obvious irritation of Justin Brooks.
Brooks stays on his knees for a moment, looking down at Tyler in what appears to be a mixture of amazement and pity. He fists his hands and gets down on all fours, talking close to Tyler’s head. It’s unclear what he’s saying, but a mocking smack to her skull makes it obvious that it wasn’t very nice.
Almost as if the disrespect has given Ruby another burst of adrenaline, she shoves Brooks back and dives toward him, the two scrapping through the ropes and to the outside! Both get to their feet, trading punches...but that battle is won by The Big Bad Brooks, who forces Tyler back to the railing...then charges, clotheslining her and taking both into the crowd! They scrap a little bit more as they try to get up, but neither can reach the ring as the referee lays his count on them, D'Artis Johnson reaching the full count and calling for the bell!
Dick Morosi: These two need some security to break them up, this one's over!
Seth Ericson: Unbelievable performance there from Ruby Tyler, she hung tough with Justin Brooks, but couldn't put the Monster away...and yeah...we're gonna need some help out here.
A number of (r)Evolution students, headed up by former security guard himself Naiser King and head of security Johnny Lee Richwine, have to physically pull Brooks and Tyler apart, getting them backstage.
WINNER: DRAW (Double Countout)
Dick Morosi: Right now, let's take you backstage for a message from Shozo Arino of REVOLUTION.
The camera cuts to a room that is clearly not in the building, indicating that the man behind the REVOLUTION is not in the building. Shozo is dressed in t-shirt and jeans, and leans back in a cushioned chair, a frown upon his face.
Shozo Arino: You betrayed me.
He lets the words hang in the air a while, the target of it clear.
Shozo Arino: I let you into my heart, after so many traumas sealed it shut. I invited you in as my brother, my family, my friend. I trusted you with the knowledge of the things that had happened to me, that shaped me into the man I am now. I let you know these things, thinking that they would make you finally see my point. That my reasons were true, that my purpose was pure. That there IS a cancer infecting wrestling, and that we must excise it. I did that, and I thought you agreed. You shook my hand, you embraced me as your brother...and that was nothing but a lie.
He spits on the floor in disgust.
Shozo Arino: You told me to my face that we were brothers, that you finally believed in me, only to immediately jam a knife into my back! And yet you think yourself better than my friends? You insult them but none of them have betrayed me! When YOU betrayed me they stood by me. They supported me, listened to me, showed me the kind of love that I SHOULD have gotten from you! But I didn't get that, all I got was a knife in between the blades of my shoulders. And so I am left with the pain of a third betrayal. Another family member lost. And it comes to me to decide how to punish this betrayal.
He pauses again, running a hand through his hair.
Shozo Arino: GRENDEL had many ideas, as did Aries and Devan. I listened to them all, as a good brother should, but decided against them all. I have decided your punishment for what your betrayal, Shinji. Nothing.
He smiles at the camera.
Shozo Arino: Not a hand shall be laid upon you for this, Shinji. Do you know why? Because your punishment isn't a swift ending for a betrayal, as my brethren rightfully wanted for what you did to me. Your punishment is to rot, with the rest of the unevolved, those that refuse to change. Like them, you will be left to decay. You will find yourself stagnating, pieces of you falling away, your refusal to Evolve resulting in more and more losses for you as those around you see the light and Evolve. And maybe, Shinji....just maybe...as you rot away, you'll see it finally. Maybe you'll finally see the light, admit you're wrong...and Evolve. And join your brother at the top of the food chain.
His smile slowly fades away, his head dropping to look away from the camera, a pained expression coming to his face.
Shozo Arino: Or perhaps that hope is misplaced...a weakness...just another way to let you jam a knife into me.
He sits in silence for some moments before lifting his head tiredly to the camera, weakly moving his hand to gesture it to turn off, the feed cutting to commercial.
