Personal Information
Name: Sean
Email: Nope.
Previous E-Wrestling Experience: Since last century.
Instant Messenger Names (Skype, AIM, Yahoo): You know this.
Character Info
Name: Jamar Williams
Twitter Handle (if applicable): @jamarwilliamsbd
Height: 6'5”
Weight: 290 lbs.
Hometown: Durham, North Carolina
Age: 24
Years Experience: None.
Alignment: +2. Good natured dude with a surprisingly deep (and kind of wacky) sense of humor. Loves playing to the crowd and getting people hyped up. The fact that he's strong like bull contrasts with and plays off of this to good effect. He DID go to Duke, though, so some fans when/if Revo tours may boo him because, srsly, it's Duke.
Entrance Music: “Take Your Best Shot” by Dope
Entrance Description: Coming soon.
Physical Appearance: Picbase is Big E. LANGSTON. FUCK YOU WWE, THE MAN HAS A LAST NAME.
Ring Attire: Dark “Duke” blue singlet with white trim, with matching (white-laced) boots.
Gimmick: Gentle giant/strongman. Acts very much like a typical old-school babyface (slaps hands on the way to the ring, tries to get the crowd involved, etc) who wants to do the right thing and use his physical gifts in the right way.
Personality: Good-natured dude who really just wants to be one of the guys/gals in Revo. Has a very broad sense of humor, and likes to have a good time. Smarter than most people think at first glimpse, and has a generally pretty diverse array of likes in terms of music, foods, pop culture, etc. that sometimes catch people off guard who might just think he's a big lunkhead. In spite of his strong in-ring persona, he can be sometimes a bit nervous/cowardly outside the ring when presented with...odd situations (*coughtotallyfuckedaroundherethencough*)
List up to three strengths of your character; they can be in-ring related, personality related, whatever you think helps define your character:
1. STRENGTH. Ridiculously strong. National-class, borderline world-class strength. The uses for this in a wrestling match are myriad, naturally.
2. Tenacity. He's stubborn, and will keep coming at you as long as he can.
3. Ring saavy. He's new to the sport, but he knows how to use the ring to his advantage within his power based game. He's got a knack for getting feet on the ropes to save himself, and generally having good ring positioning.
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. Striking. All he really has is clubbing forearms. Anyone with competent striking can likely pick him apart on the feet as long as they stay away from him.
2. Speed. Lack thereof, really. You can run circles around him, and smaller opponents can give him fits until/if he catches them.
3. Goddamnit, White People. EXODUS/Revo is REAAAAALLLY gonna fuck with this kid's head. Like, really, really fuck with it. Oh well, that's what he gets for not doing research about the in-place to train out in California before signing up.
Athletic Background: Pop Warner & high school football. Club rugby at Duke. Strongman competitions since he was eighteen.
Biography: Born in Durham, North Carolina to a pair of former Duke student-athletes (both in track), the local university hovered over every aspect of Jamar's life. He took it largely in stride, considering getting into Duke and following in his family's footsteps a priority. Blessed with good genetics, he took to athletics quickly, but he also proved to be a better and more willing student than either of his parents were.
His childhood was fairly idyllic, and he fit in fairly well throughout school. His size made high school football an obvious decision, and he stood out playing on the offensive line, but never truly loved the sport enough to devote himself to it. Science also appealed to the young man, as did his simple, pure love of the gym. Eventually, he parlayed his general love of weightlifting into the world of strongmen competitions and truck-pullng on the local stage. His grades and family history combined were more than enough to get him into Duke, where he largely focused on his academic career, being a college student, and the strongman world.
He graduated Duke University in 2013 with a degree in biology, but isn't really super keen on the idea of actually having to use it. Jamar has spent the past few years traveling to strongman competitions around the world, but has found it generally unable to pay the bills. Seeing his career options as “bodyguard” or “wrestler,” he's decided to give the latter a shot and see how things go. The Internet told him that the (R)evolution Dojo is the place to go, so he sent in his application and money and is on his way across the country to California.
A pity he didn't bother to read about exactly what's going on out there...
Wrestling Style: Feats-of-strength oriented powerhouse. Lots of deadlifting and other such things to show off his strength. Never goes to the top rope, EVER. Think a cross between Cesaro and Bobby Lashley, but with more MOVEZ than the latter.
Finishers
1. A Long Way Down (Press Slam lift into a Michinoku Driver. Ends more like a slam than the headspike of the usual Michinoku Driver)
2. The Bigger They Are... (Deadlift Gutwrench Powerbomb)
3. Hammertime (Delayed (often with walking around the ring) Jackhammer)
Signature Moves
1. Double ribbreaker into fallaway slam
2. Gorilla press slam, with as many reps as he can manage before dropping them.
3. Half-nelson backbreaker
Regular Moves You don't need to fill out all the slots for moves.
1. Clubbing forearms to the neck and back (his primary striking offense)
2. Running clothesline (often to an opponent in the corner)
3. Press-slam gutbuster
4. Delayed sidewalk slam
5. Spinebuster (Arn Anderson-style)
6. Repeated shoulderblocks in the corner
7. Fireman's carry slam (aka, Wade Barrett's “Wasteland”)
8. Elevated bearhug, complete with wringing around smaller opponents
9. Big hip toss/beale out of the corner.
10. Jumping sit-down splash
11. Running, leaping shoulderblock.
12. Side belly-to-belly suplex.
13. Torture Rack
14. Camel clutch
15. Flapjack (with HUGE hangtime due to his strength)
16. Over-the-shoulder powerslam
17. Short-arm clothesline
18. Backbreaker (sometimes followed by bending the opponent back over the knee)
19. Giant swing (Usually only one or two revolutions, followed by elevating the opponent and dropping them)
20. Atomic drop → belly to back suplex
21. Back body drop (with MEGA hangtime)
22. Repeated elbow drops to a downed opponent.
23. Deadlift bridging German suplex (nearfall move)
24. Sky High/Rydeen Bomb
25. Delayed vertical suplex (can be done as a superplex in big matches)
