MONDAY, MARCH 9th, 2015
BODYMAKER COLOSSEUM #2
Osaka, Osaka, Japan
It's the one year (and one week) anniversary of (R)Evolution Wrestling, and we're celebrating big! Not only is this going to be our debut on TV with Fox Sports 1, but Darrin Stearns has come up with an amazing way to celebrate the first year and look forward to the second. Trainers vs. students! Each trainer that has contributed significantly to the development of students over the last year has been asked to compete tonight against a handpicked opponent.
TRIPLE MAIN EVENT III - HEATHER HALLIWELL'S PICK
X vs. NoVaK
Perhaps the only person who can match Cthulhu Jones for hatred against the Supernova NoVaK is Heather. Her assistant and friend Dave has seemingly fallen under the power of the Supernova, becoming DaVeAk, which has become a constant source of worry for Heather. No word she's said has gotten an answer from the Supernova about what has happened to Dave, so when she was given the chance to pick an opponent she jumped at the chance to have SOMEONE beat the answers from NoVaK. Questions abound about who Heather will pick to stand in her place to face the Supernova, and it's likely that wanting to keep the Supernova guessing is part of her plan to get her friend back.
TRIPLE MAIN EVENT II - ANGELA JAMESON'S PICK
ANGELA JAMESON vs. VENUS
This one, honestly, needs no introduction. From the moment she appeared the ultra-arrogant Venus has gotten on the nerves of Angela Jameson. Venus managed to scrape a victory over Angela before to gain entry to the Top of the Class tournament only for Angela to cost her it, which has only served to heat up the hate between the two. Now, finally, they both have a chance to get what they want most. Angela could shut Venus up, or Venus could prove that she was right about Angela all along.
TRIPLE MAIN EVENT I - PICK YOUR POISON TAG MATCH
CAM DAVIS & JAINA FROST ((R)Evolution Wrestling World Champion) vs. DANIEL LANNING & KINTARO HIGASHIKATA
Daniel Lanning has been on a tear lately, converting his past losses into a new found focus on the RW title currently held by Jaina Frost. Jaina meanwhile seems quite unconcerned with the threat posed by the Bounty Hunter of RW, and seems prepared to keep hold of the RW title for a long time in New Eden's name. As the last stop before the two meet at EXODUS' Repetition of Hatred for the belt, it's time for the Pick Your Poison match to make it's return, with a twist! This time, due to the working agreement between RW and FIPW, each is to pick their own partners from the Four Islands' roster, and both have made extremely good picks. Jaina picked the gaijin Gojira of FIPW, Cam Davis, a monstrous veteran ready to smash any in his way. Lanning meanwhile picked the only #BasedEmpire member in FIPW, The Golden Hero himself: Kintaro Higashikata! With both looking to get one last victory before their title match, this is sure to be a violent clash between monsters and hunters.
PAPA ARINO'S PICK - DUKE TOGO RETIREMENT MATCH
DUKE TOGO vs. PAPA ARINO
This is also a sad night, as RW says farewell to one of it's originals. One half of Rush Hour, the original RW Tag Champs, Duke Togo was an always impressive powerhouse that was sorely missed since the events of the Autumn Effect 2 pre-show, where he was attacked by Shozo Arino during the unveiling of the REVOLUTION. It has recently been determined that the head injury he sustained in that match could be too dangerous if aggravated by more time in the ring and thus, Duke Togo must retire from the ring. The moment he was informed of this Papa Arino, Duke's trainer, demanded to be the one to send Duke off, wanting to be the one to send him off. So we say goodbye to one of the wrestlers that originally drew eyes to RW. Thank you Duke.
JONATHAN COLLINS PICK
X vs. CALEB STORM
This is perhaps unsurprising. It is well known that Jon Collins was the inspiration for Caleb to become a wrestler, and remains a source of inspiration. So it's not surprising that Jon picked Caleb for his match, though he's kept his mouth shut on who will be facing him, not even answering if it IS someone else that is going to face Storm. Could it be that the Saint of Violence will step into a ring again for one night?
BEOWULF'S PICK
BEOWULF vs. JACKIE FOWLER
Jackie Fowler has said from the first time someone (unfortunately) let him speak that one of his dream matches would be against Wulf Erikssen. It's not hard to see why, both are hard drinkers and hard fighters, and calling Wulf an inspiration for Jackie might not be a stretch. Wulf, always a man out to give people what they want when he can, has heard Jackie's desire and is using this night to give him his dream match. Drink up viewers, this one's gunna be a riot.
DEMON SUZUKI'S PICK - GALACTIC PRETTY BOYS FAREWELL CONCERT
DEMON SUZUKI & MINORU ASANO vs. THE GALACTIC PRETTY BOYS
It's a night of farewells too, as it turns out that we say good bye to the Galactic Pretty Boys as well. The GPB, seeking seasoning, have expressed a desire to strengthen up in FIPW, a request Darrin Stearns was happy to grant. Before the GPB leave, they have one last match in an RW ring, as they face down DEMON Suzuki! The consistently angry trainer heard about the GPB leaving, and demanded a match with them so he could take his one chance to work them over. When informed that he'd need to pick a partner DEMON did the unexpected, and picked RW commentator Minoru Asano! Even Minoru was surprised, but he quickly accepted the chance to team with his GREAT PAL DEMON against his favorite Idol team! This is going to be some kind of farewell.
MAURICE PASCAL'S PICK
MAURICE PASCAL vs. DERON FRANKLIN
Maurice is Wulf's training assistant, helping train talents at the Dojo and at the South Street Gym. For his match, he's picked the man at the front of the Derontourage, Deron Franklin! Deron might be ready to shrug this one off, but he needs to remember Maurice is a former tag champ and one of the men Wulf trusts most with students. This might be harder than Deron would think.
SPECIAL SINGLES MATCH
GOTHRA vs. SYDNEY CHRISTENSEN
Sydney continues to look to remind everyone that she is still THE wrestler in (R)Evolution even without the world title. After defeating Naiser King, she looks ahead and forward to another hard challenge. And what challenge could be more difficult than a 15,000 ton Kaiju!? Sydney must become a real monster hunter now as she comes face to leg with the mighty GOTHRA! The majestic beast looks to regain momentum going forward, and there is no better way to do that than to beat the one many fans consider the "Ace" of (R)Evolution. But even as she competes against a dangerous Kaiju, Sydney has to keep one eye firmly behind her. Because she can never be sure when the Ouroboros will reappear.
SIMON RAINES RETURNS! (Maybe)
ANNA GIOVANNA vs. SIMON RAINES
Coming off another betrayal from a REVOLUTION member and a match against Chris Strike, Simon Raines makes his return to (R)Evolution Wrestling to take on his friend Anna Giovanna! The both of them are still hurting from the betrayal of Damon Alexander a month ago, and both could do with momentum going forward against the (R)Evolution REVOLUTION. Well, if the match happens that is, as this match is still pending the findings of Seymour Almasy and Jimmy Riley.
DAMON ALEXANDER RETURNS!
DAMON ALEXANDER vs. NAISER KING
The betrayer returns. After causing Simon Raines to be suspended from (R)Evolution Wrestling at the cost of serving one of his own, Damon Alexander steps back into an RW ring. Looking to further the plans of his beloved Queen Elizabeth Lannister, Damon seeks to take down a man that has MANY problems with him, Naiser King! Naiser tried to stop the beatdown that Damon and the rest of REVOLUTION laid down onto his friends, but was overwhelmed. Now Naiser gets his first one on one shot against one of the people that attacked his friends and lover. Damon might think he was clever in how he handled Simon, but now that an angry Naiser has his gaze set on him, he might finally regret his actions.
ULTRA VIOLENT DEBUT~!
CARLTON WINSLOW & DINA BRYCE vs. VIOLENCE OL
Darrin Stearns still fondly remembers his deathmatch days, we see.
