Mother’s Day
“I still can’t believe you flew me down here just for the weekend. I feel like some old movie star, jet-setting all over the country,” the older woman smiled as she sat at a table across from her daughter. A daughter who happened to be none other than one Stardust Seraph, Fiona Collins. Fiona smiled brightly, laughing as she stirred her straw around the glass of water sitting in front of her.
“It’s Mother’s Day, of course I did! This is your gift and plus, it’s been a really long time since I saw you and I miss us having mother/daughter time.” To celebrate the holiday, Fiona had flown her mother out from Portland to spend the weekend with her and Jon, wanting her to see her life now as a married woman and spend time with the two who meant the most to her outside of her own parents. Fiona knew that her mother still had her reservations about the marriage, or had them, but now she hoped that with this weekend would come a better understanding and even acceptance of her husband and the little girl she loved like her own.
Julianne Rourke smiled warmly at her only child; it was hard to believe the little girl who had once loved to play dress up and spend hours with her father creating magical worlds out of thin air, was a mother now herself and a wife. Her little girl was a woman with a family of her own and a career that she herself was starting to realize meant the world to her. “I’m so happy that I get to be here and spend time with you. Seeing you and Jon together plus little Madison…..” Julianne trailed off, emotions overwhelming her as she got choked up while meeting her daughter’s eyes.
“I know that I wasn’t the most supportive before about you and him together, especially getting married. It just took me by surprise, given how much older he is to you but after spending time with him and seeing just how much love he has for you? It’s beautiful, sweetheart. And Madison is just so much like you at her age, it’s unreal. She’s so smart and intelligent for her age.” Reaching over, Julianne took her daughter’s hand into her own and held it tightly. “I am so happy to call her my granddaughter. I want you to know that, Fiona.”
“Thank you, Mom. You have no idea how much that means to me to hear you say that and I know it will mean a lot to Jonathan too.” Tears welled in Fiona’s eyes as she smiled softly at her mother; just hearing that confession was everything to the young woman, her heart swelling with love for her mother that she had found herself worrying about since the wedding. “I wanted to tell you too before anything happened but…..I’m hoping one day soon Jon and I will be able to have a child together ourselves.”
Julianne gasped, smiling brighter at Fiona as she clapped her hands together in delight. The thought of having a grandchild, outside of the one she had gained already, thrilled the older woman greatly and she knew that her daughter would be an amazing mother to a son or daughter - she had a great support system in the man that was her husband. “This is the best Mother’s Day I’ve ever had,” Julianne stated with a smile.
“Me too, Mommy. Me too.” Nothing would ruin that moment for Fiona.
Nothing.

Do you ever get the feeling like reality is spinning out of control?
I mean, I've got this sinking feeling Zack Lifer gets it, Kevin, but I'm starting to think you do too. All this nonsense involving you...I don't think you realize how much it's starting to seriously cramp my style.
See, I get it, Kevin. I get that you're buying into whatever bizarre nonsense my sister-in-law is peddling like some kind of delusional crack dealer. The whole fact that she's out there, proving to the world that she's got hold on you and others, speaks volumes. And I don't know if I'm supposed to be terrified or impressed over what she's digging up, but I'm here to get our little pleasantries out of the way.
Kevin Hardaway, I'm Fiona Collins. And I am going to wreck you.
Let's make no mistake about it, Kevin. You're a one-man wrecking crew, demolition derby, and a natural disaster all wrapped up in one portly little package. Chandler Scott's favorite whipping boy is here in EXODUS trying to beat us from behind before we beat him at the front. Now as much as I respect the fact you're holding a belt that I never had an opportunity to really work with, I don't respect the fact that you haven't had a chance to really defend that belt. Savannah Taylor didn't want to beat you for it. You haven't had someone to push you to dark places, to higher places, but you will in just a few short days. Let's call it for what it is, Kevin...it's a battle of two people running on opposite sides of the fence with a hell of a lot to prove.
The facts don't lie anymore and I see it all for what it is. It hasn't been a good 2015 for Fiona Collins, I won’t sugar coat anything. The lack of opportunity, the lack of matches, but I've got a serious statement to make against you. See, I understand this, and maybe you will too.
She's testing me.
The woman wants violence, Kevin. She craves that bare knuckled savagery that comes with fights like only you can get in. She wants that out of me, and now that I've agreed to face you, she wants to see if she can get that out of me...so let me ask you something, buddy. Do you really think you're going to get that kind of madness out of me? Do you think you're going to get that kind of fight out of me? What are you hoping to receive, and what do you know you're going to get in return?
If you're hoping for a one sided affair, you might be right...because I'm going to leave an indent in your skull.
If you're hoping for a bloody brawl all over the RIMAC...you're lucky I'm in the mood for one.
Kevin, I have nothing but respect for Black Jones, Ruby Tyler, and Savannah Taylor. I even have a lot of respect for Sally Talfourd, but they're all lacking one thing, Kevin...they're not me. They aren't the first Triple Crown champion in EXODUS Pro. They aren't the most successful World Champion in EXODUS Pro history. They aren't the winner of the first ever Crucible match in EXODUS history. All those things can't be taken from me, because I am Fiona Collins, AND I AM THE ACE OF THIS GODDAMN COMPANY! There's a lot of great wrestlers in EXODUS, there's a lot of up and coming talents in this company, but there's no one in EXODUS that's quite like me. So even if you bring your best and most violent to this match up, I hate to tell you you're going to be severely disappointed.
Now I'm not saying you're a bad wrestler because your track record speaks for itself. Kevin Hardaway isn't just some schmuck who walked in off the street. No, Kevin Hardaway is a guy who came in with a name and a reputation. You just happened to come in missing a few pieces to your puzzle and a deep desire to impress The Allmother. If that didn't put a big target on your back, I can't tell you what would. The truth is that I'm sure you're at least smart enough to know whether or not you got the short end of the stick here when it comes to the fact you were forced to face me. As good as you'd like to think this is getting for you, I'm here to tell you right now that you have nothing on me and you never will. Not when I plan on leaving you lying motionless on that mat.
Kevin, you can spout it off. You can tell me to reach for the dead, to be ready for violence, to go to war with you, but only one thing is going to happen out there and that's that I'm going to knock you out with a Shinigami so hard? Your brain will be sent all the way to New York City before you can even blink.
You might have gold right now, Kev. Can I call you Kev? Too bad, I’m going to anyways. You might be looking good on the pecking order of fighters...but I'm not giving up until I'm right back where I belong. Don't think for one second you're getting one up on me Monday night. It's about time someone taught you that you shouldn't be reaching for the dead when the living are that much scarier.
Deuces.
