Personal Information
Name: Sean
Email: You know this.
Previous E-Wrestling Experience: This too.
Instant Messenger Names (MSN, AIM, Yahoo): Yuuuuuup.
Character Info
Name: Huelo Vakalahi
Twitter Handle: To be determined
Height: 6’5”
Weight: 313 lbs.
Hometown: Nuku’alofa, Tonga
Age: 24
Years Experience: Six months.
Alignment: +2. He’s basically your standard big guy babyface, with cool moves and the ability to get the crowd into the match, plus some general appeal for speaking softly and doing most of his work in the ring.
Entrance Music: “Fury of the Storm” by Dragonforce
Entrance Description: As “Fury of the Storm” by Dragonforce hits the arena speakers, the mammoth Tongan known to the world as Huelo Vakahali storms out from behind the curtain, his head bouncing along with the music. He powerwalks down the aisle, doling out fistbumps to interested fans before stopping a few feet short of the ring.
Running the last bit of the way, Huelo leaps up to the ring apron in one jump, then steps between the ropes. Taking center ring, he screams to all four sides before settling back into his corner to prepare for the bout at hand.
Physical Appearance: Pic Base is Bad Luck Fale, of Bullet Club fame. Key differences are Huelo is entirely bald, and wears a more traditional goatee (that is still dyed blonde).
Ring Attire: Dark blue, tight, MMA-style shorts tights. Matching boots. Black elbowpads and kneepads.
Gimmick: The Tongan Typhoon. High energy and high impact from bell to bell. Speaks only briefly, and when he does, it’s about how he’s going to kick your ass. Nothing fancy, but effective. (Basically think a cooler Roman Reigns who didn’t get his character ruined by Vince and co. crossed with the imposing cool of the Underboss.)
Personality: Soft spoken and hard hitting. Prefers to do his talking in the ring. Backstage, he’s a likeable, funny guy with a quiet sense of humor.
List up to three strengths of your character; they can be in-ring related, personality related, whatever you think helps define your character:
1. Deceptive speed and agility.
2. Ring awareness. For such a big guy, and one reasonably new to wrestling, he’s got a pretty good sense of the ring and how to use it
3. Hits like a bus.
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. Inexperience. Not hooking the leg, not making a cover when he should, etc.
2. Weak right shoulder. It was injured multiple times during his rugby career. Opponents who know can work it over.
3. Flash pins. His mortal nemesis.
Athletic Background: Rugby throughout high school and university.
Biography:
Born to a Tongan father and a Tongan-British mother, Huelo grew up in an athletic family, the middle of three children with an older sister and younger brother. His mother was an amateur hurdler, and his father an American football player who had a cup of coffee on the practice squad of the San Diego Chargers once upon a time.
Huelo’s sport of choice was rugby, and it was his passion from an early age. He played in both high school and university, and had designs on turning professional, but ended up being juuuuust not good enough. Rather than try to go elsewhere to make it in rugby, though, the young man turned his attention to professional wrestling, seeing a chance to use his physical gifts in a different sport with even higher potential rewards.
Huelo received six months of training on Tonga, before it was decided that he needed more seasoning. Enter the (R)evolution Dojo and (R)evolution Wrestling.
Now, the former rugby player looks to make his mark on American wrestling, while upholding the fine, time-honored traditions of Tonga in athletics - hitting hard and being tough as nails.
Wrestling Style: High energy, high impact powerhouse. Currently pretty basic, but with time in RW, his moveset will flesh out further.
Finishers
1. Air Tonga (Diving headbutt off the top rope.)
2. Hurricane Huelo (Sky High, from the D’Lo Brown playbook. Gets MASSIVE air against most opponents, and he’ll usually rotate around 180-270 degrees before driving them into the canvas)
3. Tongan Death Trap (TDT) (Stretch Muffler/Brock Lock - he executes it more like the latter, trying to sit across the opponent’s back a la a normal crab while cranking the lock.)
Signature Moves
1. Vicious headbutt, usually with a leg kick windup.
2. Pop-up Samoan drop, a la Umaga.
3. Tongan Death Grip, sometimes into a modified STO.
Regular Moves You don't need to fill out all the slots for moves.
1. Repeated left jabs to an opponent’s midsection.
2. Straight right hand to the face.
3. Repeated ribbreakers (a la Brock Lesnar)
4. Running, over-the-shoulder powerslam
5. Big splash off the second turnbuckle
6. Delayed vertical suplex
7. Running clothesline to a cornered opponent.
8. Powerbomb
9. Big boot
10. Side belly to belly suplex.
