Character Info
Name: Michael Lynch
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 198 lbs
Hometown: Detroit, MI
Alignment: -4 (Take a look at any cult leader in history. They're arrogant, manipulative, charming, cold, and ruthless. Add in a hint of a uncontrollable savage and you've got Michael Lynch. A man who tries to lure people into his "church" only to benefit himself and betray them when the time calls for it. Perhaps the only thing really preventing him from earning the title of being "evil" is that once upon a time, it seemed like the anger had left Lynch, but it didn't take too long before the monster inside reappeared. Definitely won't hesitate to take someone out if it benefits him or if they just made him angry. He's noted for that quick anger. In a moment, he can go from the calming, peaceful man he claims to be into the monster and soulless being people are familiar with.)
Entrance Music: "Streaker (ft. Notrabel)" by Tobacco
Entrance Description: The lights in the arena lower as "Streaker (ft. Notrabel)" by Tobacco plays throughout the building. For a few seconds, the song just plays out before a dark figure with his head down steps out onto the top of the stage. Soon enough, Michael Lynch looks up across the arena and lowers the hood attached to his vest to reveal his signature green mask. He's greeted with a roar of boos that he doesn't acknowledge as he starts making his way down the ramp. There's no real expression to be found on Lynch's face as he climbs into the ring. Michael stops briefly in the center of the ring to take off his vest jacket and to take a look around the building. He then walks over to a corner of the ring to drape his jacket over and lean against while he waits for the match to begin.
Physical Appearance: Brown hair with a goatee that is usually medium-to-long length. Noted for his green eyes. Has a tattoo on the bottom of his left wrist, but it is usually covered up with wrist tape. Surprisingly strong for his size and a toned body to go along with it. Also has a scar on the underside of his left forearm that is rarely seen. Pic base is Delirious.
Ring Attire: Black pants with a mixture of green and white jagged designs all across them. The same jagged design the left side of his black mask with green outlining around the eyes with black and green tassels from the back. Sometimes puts black paint around his eyes for effect. Wears black wrist tape around both wrists up to his forearms with "LYNCH" written in white on the sides. Tapes up his index and ring fingers with white tape. Wears one black elbow pad on his left arm and a black bicep band. Has standard black wrestling boots with black laces to match.
Gimmick: A delirious, hypocritical, deranged, and failure of a cult leader
Personality: A vengeful being, a man who thinks that the world is out to get him and that it's his mission to cleanse the world of that evil. A liar by nature as he tries to lure people in with false promises and will betray them when the time is right. Lynch has a short-temper that can get in him trouble inside and out of the ring. Claims he just wants wrestling to serve as his platform to deliver his message and that he's not interested in championship gold and various other accomplishments, but deep down, he wants the fame, the glory, and the gold. When he does earn something, he definitely won't waste anytime to brag about it. There's definitely something off about Michael Lynch.
List up to three strengths of your character; they can be in-ring related, personality related, whatever you think helps define your character:
1. Deceptively strong. He can lift up and toss people around who are often bigger than him. Even if a person massively outweighs him, he'll still at least try to find some move in his arsenal to put the person down.
2. Manipulative. It doesn't always work, but when it does, it works really well. Lynch prides himself on being able to get people to do what he wants or at least using people without them knowing. Uses false promises, hope, and other things to trick people into thinking they're actually improving or helping their own self out. Michael feeds on the trust people have.
3. Ring awareness. Almost always knowing where he is in the ring is a huge advantage for Lynch. His head is always on a swivel as he tries to figure out various ways to use the ring as a weapon. Whether it be using the ring as a weapon or using it as his escape from a loss, Michael keeps a close eye on where everything is.
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. Short temper. As mentioned, Lynch has a very short temper. It could cause a variety of bad things to happen to him. From pissing off a tag team partner and forcing himself to compete in a handicap match to just unleashing an assault on his opponent that could get him disqualified. The temper has also put him in bad situations, especially if he's arguing with an authority figure.
2. Arrogance. To match the temper, he's got an ego, a messiah complex. Not only does he actually believe himself to be a messiah of his own words, he makes sure that everyone around him knows that and knows just how good he is. It's not uncommon to see the arrogance and temper come out in tandem. Like his temper, his arrogance can get him in trouble since he's not going to put anybody above him.
3. Gambles on moves. Has a tendency to use moves that can often hurt him more than his opponent. Whether it be a suicide dive or something off the top rope, he can do more harm than good. If he does hit the move, it still hurts him. If he doesn't, it hurts his body and his pride.
Biography: Unsurprising, not much is known about Michael Lynch. He's claimed to be from Detroit, Michigan and says he's 29 years old, but even that is a bit of a question mark. What is known is that he's relatively new to the wrestling scene with 2015 marking his second year as a wrestler.
When Michael Lynch appeared in Galveston, Texas for Galveston Island Wrestling, he made his presence felt. Going on an undefeated streak all the way to winning his first championship. It wasn't long before he added another belt to his collection and eventually an Undisputed Championship to make him one of the fastest triple crown champions in GIW history. He spent the majority of his career in Galveston before leaving after a pay-per-view.
The one thing that is somewhat known about Michael Lynch is his history with a cult. No one is really sure if any of it is true or just made up in his mind, but Lynch has gone into great detail in the past about being a leader of a group. The only person who ever ventured deep enough into the mind of Michael Lynch discovered the church that Lynch preached about. The man's mind was damaged beyond repair. To the point where the man himself wasn't sure if it was real or just an elaborate dream he had. That man was known as Christopher Darren Erns. Arguably Michael's greatest rival. The two met one last time and even though Lynch came out on top, both men disappeared after the match. Eventually, Erns would come back to accept his Hall of Fame achievement, but Michael Lynch was absence from it.
No one had heard from or even seen Michael Lynch since his departure from GIW. He was known to occasionally make appearances elsewhere, but that wasn't the case anymore. It seemed like retirement had finally hit Michael Lynch. Though, that didn't last as long as he thought it would. As usual, Lynch kept everything quiet with a low profile, but there was an urge to come back. There had been rumors that he was going to, but after a while, it seemed like they were just that. Rumors. Michael had grown content with his situation. A feeling that was bothering him more and more as the days went by.
He kept his eyes and ears open for something to spark his interest again. It wasn't too much longer that he had found something. His home wasn't going to work for him anymore, he knew he had to branch out. An opportunity lit him up and he knew he had a chance to start all over. EXODUS Pro would serve as Michael Lynch's new base of operations. A place to start again. A place to become great again.
Wrestling Style: Strong style wrestling. For the most part, Lynch's offense is grapple based with an emphasis on striking. Every now and again, he busts out a technical or aerial move, but those are somewhat rare for him as he prefers most of his fighting to be when he's standing.
