[Exodus Pro Presents Welcome Oblivion]
[San Diego, California]
[International Championship Match]
I could hear my heart pounding in my ears as I feel to my knees holding the Exodus Pro International Championship Title in my hands for the second time, looking down at the freshly polished golden faceplate as drops of blood fell from my brow lightly splashing down on the gold plate. I can see my reflection, slightly distorted from the curvature of the plate, but regardless, I could see my large smile right back at me, clear as day. Slowly I climb to my feet to the adoration and to the cheers of the crowd.
I hated to admit…but Aries Reed was dead wrong about this feeling.
Having the people cheer and chant for you was absolutely awesome and completely mind-blowing.
I couldn’t help but smile as they continue to chant and cheer as I walked over to the turnbuckle and threw my arms in the air holding the International Title high in the air. I pointed out to the crowd as a wave of flashbulbs washed over me, as the fans took the photo opportunity. I mouthed a silent ‘thank you’ to those thousands of people as I slowly hop down from the second rope of the turnbuckle, I climb down and step out of the ring as make my way over towards the ring barriers and begin to personally celebrate with those in the front row. All the while “March of Death” continues to play on a loop as the words to the song never seem to be more real for the moment.
This was my moment in the sun, this was my time in the spotlight…the attention and all the eyes were on me…
…and I absolutely loved it.

“So let’s dance...yet again, Abby.”
“The first time we met in the middle of the ring along with Devan Whitmore and I beat you both..."
"...they figured they'd give you another chance, and I did it again."
"And this isn't going to be any different by any means yet..."
“...I want to see what a Former Exodus Pro Champion has when it’s one on one who's been properly trained and ready to rumble”
“I want to see what Chris Strike saw when you beat him.”
“I want to see Abby Park of new...not the Abby Park of old.”
“Not the same Abby Park that got her head kicked in by Johnny Cannon...the same Abby Park who was the short change in short change Heroes.”
“But just like all those times before, nothing is going to change. I'm still the Exodus Pro International Champion, only for the second time, this time it’s just going to The Big Bad Brooks looking to derail the Seoul Train to such a point to where it doesn’t ever get back on the tracks ever again.”
“That’s not a damn threat, it’s a fucking promise.”
“Understand that outside of the wife and kids and the white picket fence that surrounds them all, I do what I have to do to provide for them. And if that defending this International Championship night in and night out, then so be it."
"If it means breaking all the rules..."
"Breaking bones..."
"Shattering careers..."
"Making a deal with the Devil himself..."
"Then so be it."
"You wanted to start that road back to the Exodus Pro World Championship? Well, you need realize that, that road isn't what it used to be...because now it goes through me and even though you may be beaten Savannah Taylor, I've proven that I'm so much better than she is. It's harder than ever before because while you're back in the ranks of Exodus...there are so many others who are putting in that time and doing it such a way that they can't be denied."
[Justin looks at the International title that sits on his right shoulder.]
"Like myself."
"But the powers at be want to see it again, let's find out who wants it more and who's willing to do what it takes to take that next step?"
"You've been on that mountaintop and no one can ever take that from you and they shouldn't even try but you can understand why everyone wants to knock you down a peg."
"Beating Abby Park puts you one step closer to reaching that pedestal ourselves."
"You're the means to an end, Abs. And once it's all said and done, you're going to be just that..."
"...an End."

[Exodus Pro Offices]
[San Diego, California]
I find myself back at a place where I never thought I would want to be... Exodus Pro Home Offices…usually it was to defend the actions or the words of Aries Reed when he first arrived in San Diego but after the events of Exodus Pro #39, this time I’m was here for me. Standing in front of the receptionist, she looks up at me, slightly off put by the major size difference between the two of us. Slowly, leaning over I place my hands on the edge of her desk, lowering myself to her level.
“I need to speak with Director Collins...sooner than later.” I said in a low grumble of a whisper.
“Well, I’m sorry, Mr. Brooks but Director Collins is on a very important conference call at the moment. You’re going to need to make an appointment.”
“Okay, you don’t seem to grasp what I’m saying. I need to speak with Michelle Collins right now, so either you can make than happen for me or I can just go through you. The choice is yours…but frankly I don’t give a shit but either way I’m getting into that office.”
“Yes sir…one moment, please…” The receptionist picks up the phone as she nervously smiles at me. When I didn’t return her smile, hers slowly faded away as she waited for Michelle to pick up the phone. Needless to say I wasn’t in the mood to deal being sent on my way without as much as a word from the woman who supposedly calls the shots.
“Yes, Director Collins...I know you’re in the middle of a conference call right now...but I have Mr. Justin Brooks in front of me who requests an audience with you, Ma’am.”
“Yes Ma’am, I know but…”
“Yes Ma’am, I know but…”
“Yes Ma’am, I do understand that but it seems…”
With a grimace, I reach over and disconnect the call with a push of the hook of the phone. “Don’t worry about it…I’ll just find my own way in.”
A look of fear spread over her face as she slowly stood from her chair as I walked past her and marched into Michelle’’s office without the courtesy of a knock. The Director looked up from her desk as she closed her eyes and sighed softly as she brushed off her receptionist with a dismissive wave of her hand as she tried to scurry in past me to plead her case to her boss.
“Its fine, Cheryl, I’ll deal with this.”
The door closed slowly behind me as I slowly crossed my arms over my chest.
“Mr. Brooks…what can I do for you, Justin? As you see I’m a busy woman, so we’re going to need to make this quick.”
Michelle sat back in her large brown office chair as she folds her hands in front of her on her large office desk, with paperwork neatly stacked around her.
I run my tongue over the front of my teeth as I stare Michelle in the eyes. “For the past months, I’ve been a Clydesdale in the Exodus, I’ve worked…I fought…I’ve won, I’ve lost and yet I continue to be a popular mainstay in the Exodus as well as hold the International Title twice but yet...last week, that was some of the most unprofessional bullshit I ever been apart of.”
“Well…Justin…I can understand where you’re coming from but Nicholas suspending Christum wasn’t exactly something that I had any control over. And I’m sorry that you didn’t get the match you were looking for...but with your V1 defense coming up against Abby Park, I hope you’ll find the fight that you’re looking for.” She said, I was feeling as if I was being brushed off. I wasn’t having this…not today and definitely not from her.
I just laugh slightly and shake my head. “I got Abby handled and just like every time you guys put these clowns in front of me, I put on five star classic matches. But you’re going to have to excuse me if I’m feeling a little slighted that the next time I show up in San Diego that my match gets cancelled and I’m the last one to know...again.”
Michelle looks obviously irritated as she shifts her weight in the chair and leans forward slowly. “So what is that you want me to do, Justin?”
Once again I slowly shake my head. “I don’t want you to do a damn thing but watch, ‘Chelle…there’s a big difference in what happens when Justin Brooks is in Exodus and when he’s not.”
“And what’s the difference?”
I chuckled and winked playfully.
“Keep your eyes open at Exodus #40 and you’ll see.”
I turn to leave her office but stop short of the door as I slowly turn around. “Oh yeah before I leave…make sure that you tell who ever is the next one in line for the International Title after Abby that I’ll be waiting for them. And you make sure that after AE3…I’ll be coming for the World TItle as well because I’m going to do something that you’ll never forget after it’s all said and done.”

“But through it all it makes me wonder...why did Abby leave in the first place?”
“To find herself? To figure who Abby Park really is? The same Abby Park who shocked the world and beat Chris Strike when the world said she couldn't?”
“I hope that you found out what you're looking for.”
“I hope that what reason that brought you back to the Exodus faithful was worth it because since you've left, I've found a little mean streak and I've been leaving a trail of bodies in my wake.”
“I put Savannah Taylor through a table to prove a point...I was busted wide open to prove a point…”
“.. that I'm the Monster that will go through hell and back again.”
“Monsters are very much real, Abby...you should know this by now because you've stepped into the ring with me twice and haven't walked away with your arm raised and now that the powers to be have decided to give you a International Title shot after beating one person isn't going to change a goddamn thing.”
“If anything it's just going to make things much much more horrible for you.”
“I was supposed to step into the ring with Christum Furor only two weeks ago, I was pumped, I was primed, I was ready...it was a fight that I was training for. It was going to be one of the biggest fights in my career….”
“...and they took it from me.”
“No warning.”
“No apology.”
“No even a simple replacement...just cancelled leaving Justin Brooks cocked and ready with no target.”
“And that pissed me off...actually I'm still pissed off because of the blatant disrespect and the rather lackadaisical attitude towards one of its champions. Then again my name isn't Chris Strike or Fiona Collins, so why would they?”
“Fuck me, right?”
“But everything is going to be okay because I get to step into the ring with Abby Park for a V1 Defense for the International Title. And with all the rage, frustration, and tension boiling inside of me...well, you can see where I'm going with this.”
“My goal isn't just to retain my title, Abs.”
[Justin slowly shakes his head.]
“Oh Heavens no...my goal is to dismantle you and destroy you to molecular level. And not just because I want to, oh no, its because there isn't going to be a damn thing you can do about it.”
“We aren't two monsters of a different breed because honestly Abby, there isn't a damn thing about you changed…”
“...but when you step into the ring with me, you're going to come to the realization that I have changed quite a bit and just because I hold the International Championship doesn't change a damn thing about who the hell I am.”
“So yeah, you can take solace that you've been a World Champion and the title reign that had the lifespan of a goldfish and I haven't had that opportunity to given a title shot. But I have no problems saying that I've beaten Abby Park twice already and looking to make a third.”
“So while I haven't killed you yet…”
[He lets a grin spreads over his lips as he stares into the camera.]
“...I got nothing to but time, Abby.”
“But if you want this?”
[Pulling the International Title from his right shoulder, Justin takes a moment to look down at it and run his large hand over the golden faceplate.]
“Then you're going to have to kill me...and that's the difference between the two of us Abby. Underneath that soft cuddly exterior you want to think that there is a fighter, that there is a dog ready for the fight...but you aren't a killer. And because of that fact is the reason why Justin Brooks will leave the RIMAC as the International Champion and you'll...well...you'll just be the Abby Park we all remember and have grown to love.”
“Which is a shame really...you could've been so much more.”
