Character Info
Name: Kenzie Rydell
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 138 lbs.
Hometown: Nashville, Tennessee
Alignment: +5
(Kenzie follows a strict code handed down by both her mentor White Pheonix and her father who's an US Army vet. She may have her moments, questioning the moral ambiguity of the chaotic federation around her, but she will always stay true to herself, to the point of slight naivety.)
Entrance Music: "Watch Me" by Icon For Hire
Entrance Description:
Physical Appearance: Hailee Steinfeld.
Ring Attire: Something similar to that of Alexa Bliss. Short shorts without being too short with black and white lines crisscrossing tastefully as a design over a solid color that changes each appearence. Sometimes pink, sometimes purple, sometimes red, etc. Her top covers most of her cleavage, leaving her toned stomach exposed while a crisscross fabric attached to the top covers the length of her left arm, some skin between the crosses.
Gimmick: White Pheonix trainee with a symbiotic platonic friendship with Spencer Walsh,
Personality: Despite her outward appearance, Kenzie is stronger than most realize. Mentally, the young woman, growing up an Army Brat, had to adapt to her surroundings despite moving constantly during her childhood. Some of those transfers even involved moving out of the country. Japan and northern Mexico were a couple notable entries, experiences she took to heart. Japanese and Spanish came almost naturally when she had to be surrounded by the language for all that time, and even still she continues to want to widen her language barrier by learning French just for the fun of it.
Kenzie holds strong beliefs about right and wrong, stitched into her DNA from everyone she's crossed paths with over the years, and even when a small voice of moral ambiguity crawls into her head like an earworm, she attempts to shut it out quickly and continue on her goal. That isn't to say she's perfect either. She has a tendency to disrespect authority on occasion, should they act like a dictator and not think about her view in a situation. She also has a streak of naivety in her that comes out from time to time.
List up to three strengths of your character:
1. Float Like A Butterfly - Kenzie was one of the quickest learners that ever trained in White Pheonix's wrestling school in Nashville. Because of her constant adapting, she learns incredibly quickly and can adapt to many things mid-match when other rookies might panic. She's sometimes quick to dodge oncoming attacks, and could literally run circles around much larger opponents.
2. Sting Like A Bee - Wrestling means the world to her, and with mentors in her life that ingrained discipline into her life, it's impossible to doubt that she belongs in that ring once she steps foot on that mat. This also leads to bursts of training that far exceed what the average civilian would consider necessary.
3. Symbiotic Mouthpiece - Despite her failings in the talking department, Spencer Walsh - a charismatic businessman with a cool head and a boisterous demeanor - tells the world what they need to know about his best friend Kenzie Rydell once the cameras begin to roll.
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. Platonic Life Raft - Without Spencer by her side supporting her and telling her what she needs to hear, she would cease to be Kenzie. The same goes for Spencer. They're two halves to a platonic whole and without one, the other would spiral. Or, in the case of Kenzie, kamikaze in an all out burst to get her friend back first.
2. Walking Among Giants - All the training in the world, and all of Spencer's protective influence can't shield her from everything. There will be times where her young age shows. She's still new to wrestling professionally and there will be times where her actions clearly showcase just that.
3. Rock Beats Paper - All the speed in the universe can't make up for getting slammed to the ground or punched with the ferocity of a thousand bricks. With two or three big moves, Kenzie's delicate body is more susceptible to fail before her strong heart.
Biography:
“Where are you from?” It was a question that always caught Kenzie and her younger brother off guard. Did they mean where was she from before this? Or did they mean where was she born? Oh, maybe they were asking where she lived the longest. It was the one question that always made the usually talkative girl hesitate. Life with a parent in the army isn’t so easy. Army brats, as they call them, have to adapt to their surroundings and be constantly aware that they won’t stay in the same place for very long. Two to three years is usually the rule of thumb, but sometimes it’s even quicker than that. Months spent in one home, only to move across the country before she even remembered the address, were pretty common.
Michigan. Iowa. New Jersey. Mexico. Japan. Those are just a handful of places Kenzie Rydell has lived for some time in her life, and with each home came a new adventure. Friends were lost, but friends were gained at the same time, and sometimes they kept in touch. Languages were learned as quickly as possible in the process, and she cared more about her country than the usual ‘civilian kid’ could ever imagine, standing straight and pledging allegiance to the flag faster than anyone back in class every morning. It shaped her personality more than she can even comprehend and wouldn’t trade any of it for the world.
Throughout Kenzie's relatively short life, she's been to wrestling show after wrestling show, front row center to see Lucha matches in Mexico while witnessing Japanese wrestling first hand from the cheap seats whenever they saved enough money for the two years she lived overseas back in middle school. Those experiences shaped her, growing her interest in the histories beyond the current day, culminating in her vast knowledge of the sport before she even graduated high school. She heard about legends coming and legends fading away, but one such legend stood out to her - White Pheonix.
Meanwhile, the slightly introverted girl who could never seem to make friends for longer than a few months made contact with Spencer Walsh. The charismatic high school boy caught everyone's attention in that school, she figured that out without much effort. Getting to know each other, they both felt some kind of feelings for one another, feelings they couldn't describe. They liked being around each other's company and could talk for hours about nothing in particular, developing their own inside jokes and language to discribe the things going on around them. Knowing she had to move, she finally spilled the beans. With not much time left, the confident Spencer asked her out on a date on the day before she had to ship out. Come to realize, awkwardness in the air, they wouldn't work out as anything more than what they always were. They were much more comfortable being themselves than trying to act out some romance novel they'd constantly bash.
Once she moved away, they continued their relationship. They were like brother and sister, constantly checking in on one another, making it a point to call the other every night. Kenzie finally felt normal for once, like she finally had a friend who could understand the things she was saying (so long as she said them in English).
A year or so afterward, Spencer joined an MMA / wrestling school run by mainly local veterans. Spencer focused on the MMA style of things and didn't think much of it. That's when he overheard one of the trainers say the name Kenzie's been talking about for weeks on end, a name you couldn't mistake anywhere: White Pheonix. Upon hearing the news, Kenzie signed up immediately and before she knew it, she was being trained how to fight by a multi-time world champion, a living legend right there in Nashville. She lived with Spencer since, finally making the Nashville area her permanent hometown.
A standout of the group, White Pheonix personally called Jon Collins and scheduled an interview with the EXODUS Directer. Kenzie has a lot of hype to live up to, but given everything she's done thus far, she's more than up for it.
Wrestling Style: She's an unorthodox high-flying speedster with a tendency to try and literally dodge her opponents moves or strikes. She'll stand in a boxing position occasionally, even going so far as to parry attacks when she finds the opportunity, hitting them hard with a move of her own when they least expect it. She uses her fists for quick strikes and kicks hard when given an opening.
Finishers
1. 'Phoenix Strike' - tornado kick straight to the head after a combination of punches in her boxing stance. If this kick is fully executed, it has the possibility to knock out her opponent. Otherwise, it's followed up with a pin.
2. 'Flying Pheonix Strike' - Used extremely sparingly, this tornado kick is done from the top or second rope to a dazed standing opponent.

Entrance Music: "Watch Me" by Icon For Hire
Entrance Description:
The lights blink to darkness, a few red and white spotlights blinking against the crowd while their attention arose towards the stage. The camera focused while the rhythmic beat of "Watch Me" by Icon For Hire flared over the sound system, and once the vocals joined the faux-pop melody, the crowd erupted as a woman walked out onto the stage with an excited smile.
Kenzie Rydell gave special attention to the fans in the upper seats, pointing in that direction with a wide grin. Scurrying to her left, she said something inaudible to the fans in attendance, giving a few of them high-fives. Moving on to the right, she told them something else, high-fiving a few lucky Inferno fans who watched her quickly recoil to the center of the ramp.
The woman's focus changed suddenly, shaking the innocent thoughts away. Determined expression crossing her face replacing the usual jovial demeanor, she stepped forward and pursed her lips. Breaking out into a run, she sprinted towards ringside and slid underneath the bottom rope, effortlessly hopping back to her feet again. The crowd continued to roar down appreciation for the young fighter, watching as she rested on the ropes near her turnbuckle, bouncing back and forth on the heels of her feet while the song faded into the abyss
