As the commercials close, the screen fades to black. For a moment or two, there is only silence and darkness. Suddenly, a deep, rough voice can be heard, speaking in Spanish. His words are subtitled in bold, white text as he speaks.
Voice: Durante demasiado tiempo, hemos sido objeto de burla en la luz.
Subtitle: For too long, we have been mocked in the light.
Voice: Antiguas tradiciones deben morir. Nuevas tradiciones deben prosperar.
Subtitle: Old traditions must die. New traditions will thrive.
Voice: Bajo un nuevo liderazgo, vamos a prosperar. Deje que El Reinado del Terror continuar.
Subtitle: Under new leadership, we will thrive. Let the Reign of Terror continue.
A pinhole of light appears in the centre of the screen, as Down In Mexico by The Coasters starts to play. As the intro progresses, the pinhole swells, until the entire screen is full of white light. After a second or two, the white starts to fade out, being replaced with the interior of the Coliseo Inmortal, the small arena packed to the rafters. As the camera pans the crowd, the attendees roar, a Mexican wave kicking off, which the camera almost seems to ride like a surfboard. The camera comes to rest on the broadcast side of the ring, where the show’s commentary teams sit behind two separate tables. As the camera comes to rest on the primary commentary team of Pablo and Sofia, we cross fade to another camera, a static one, focused on the English Announce Team. Dave and Winston sit there, Dave surveying the crowd as Winston addresses the camera directly.
Winston Robinson: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Tonight, live, from Tijuana, we bring you La Oscuridad Cae! My name is Winston Robinson, and I’ll be here conducting commentary duties throughout all the action tonight, alongside my broadcast partner, Dave.
Dave: Right. Tonight, El Reinado are looking at consolidating their position. They had a strong showing last month, and there are some high profile matches tonight to help them.
Winston Robinson: Not only that, but some huge matches full stop! We host the Supreme XWA Champion in a defence against our own La Sombra Oscura! Not only that, but we also have the scheduled return of El Hijo del Espíritu Santo, as he takes on the El Reinado’s lieutentant, and leader of their newly christened SSWA branch, Mixcoatl.
Dave: Plus, big names from the Reinado’s EXODUS wing, as the newly formed team of Monsters, Inc. look to rock the ring.
Winston Robinson: First though, in place of El Comisionado’s normal introductory speech, we’re getting straight into the action, as newcomer Michiko Yamada debuts against our resident lothario, El Romeo!
Dave: I’m looking forward to this. I’ve long been a fan of Yamada’s work, and I’ve also long wanted Romeo’s face caved in. Win/Win.
Esteban Palacios: De Calexico, California, Estados Unidos, pesa 217 libras...
The lights start to flash and strobe around the arena as the good time vibe and sounds of "Don't Stop the Party" by Pitbull begins to play! Suddenly, bursting out from the back comes everyone's favorite heartbreaker, EL ROMEO(~!). Nodding his head and strutting his way down the aisle toward the ring, he occasionally cocks a finger pistol in the direction of a sexy lady in the arena. Accompanied by a few beautiful women in bikinis (that he has more than likely paid to accompany him), El Romeo(~!) dances his way to the ring before hopping up and flipping into the ring to drop to a knee and impress the ladies
Esteban Palacios: EL! ROMEO! Y su oponente, haciendo su debut de HELL...
The lights in the arena shut off, drawing a momentary, anticipatory murmur from the audience, before two emphatic drum beat fill the PA system, accompanied by a pair of strobe light flashes. Strapping Young Lad’s “Antiproduct” cues up, two more drum beats hitting before the song kicks off, again accompanied by the flashing strobes. The tempo of the song quickens, and a voice mumbles something behind the aggressive guitar playing.
The lights return to full power as the first verse of the song kicks in, but for a moment, the audience is left waiting. Eventually, the curtain’s pushed aside, and from behind it comes Michiko Yamada. She stops at the head of the ramp, turning to glance at either side of the stage, almost expressionless, undoing the one button on her robe before pacing her way down to the ring in no particular hurry. She pauses at the edge of the ring apron, shrugging the robe off her shoulders before sliding under the bottom rope, moving to the nearest corner and just settling back against it, awaiting the bell.
Esteban Palacios: Provenientes de Saku, Nagano, Japón y un peso de 134 libras... MICHIKO YAMADA!
El Romeo was clearly enamoured of his leggy opponent, and started things off by striking a sensuous pose in her direction complete with swivelling hips. Of course, Michiko was about as impressed by this as she ever is by anything, and promptly levelled Romeo with a roundhouse to the temple. As he fell to the ground she swarmed over him, straddling him flat and going to town with cupped fists, elbow shots and headbutts up and down his face and chest, robbing him of the ability to either think or breathe properly.
It was all Yamada from then on; every time Romeo came close to getting vertical again she had a suplex or takedown to plant him right back on his crown, interspersed with stiff kicks and disrespectful slaps to the cranium. The crowd were shocked by the sheer physicality as she demolished him. Finally, as he got to his hands and knees with shaking limbs, Michiko flattened him with a double stomp to the back of the head.
But she didn't go for the pin, instead dragging him back up. Yamada went for a German suplex, aimed at the turnbuckles... the crowd rallied as El Romeo managed to pour the last of his energy into shifting backwards and snapping her off her feet with a headscissors throw! It seemed like Michiko gave a little half-smile at him fighting back, but perhaps it was a trick of the light, and either way it didn't last long as El Romeo caught her with a monkey flip as she rose. With cheers propelling him on, he flew at her in a leg lariat - but she managed to absorb some of the Devil's Kiss and plant him with a powerbomb. Both went down. Romeo was first back to his feet and he called for his superkick, El Corazon del Romeo. He telegraphed it too hard however and Michiko answered by ducking under the boot and sweeping his leg out to send him flailing down. She leaped onto him with another double stomp, then dragged him up in an inverted double underhook before spinning around and drilling his face into the canvas with The Eye of Hell.
She planted one foot on his chest by way of a pin to win her HELL debut in a matter of minutes, in dominating fashion. She took all the boos from the crowd as the count was made, gesturing to herself and inviting anyone offended by her violent, bullish attitude to try and stop her.
Winston Robinson: Well… that was… brutal.
Dave: And somewhat satisfying. I think I’m a little turned on. I think the entire locker room might be on notice now, with this dangerous new player in the game... next though, we potentially see the end to a rivalry that has plagued HELL since its opening days.
Winston Robinson: Los Genios Malvados have taken issue with Doktor Logan Adversary’s claims of scientific prominence since Numero Uno! Their feud has been long, with twists and turns, all leading to this! Tonight, Los Genios and their creation face the creations of the Adversarys, in a contest with not only pride on the line, but also membership in El Reinado!
Dave: What a day for Mad Science.
Esteban Palacios: Presentamos el primer!
The sounds of wind and thunder starts playing over the PA system, as Dr. Loco and Dr. Malo come charging into the arena, pushing a sheet covered gurney. As the soundscape intensifies, Dr. Loco quickly removes some jumper cables from below the gurney, affixing them to two metal prongs sticking out of the base of the gurney. As he does so, Dr. Malo grabs a large knife switch attached to the side of the gurney, pulling it down with force. There's a shower of sparks, and all of the lights go out, as the sound also cuts out. For a few moments, there's nothing, but the flashes of cameras and the light of cell phones.
Suddenly, a soundbite from Young Frankenstein bursts out from the PA System, as a strobing spotlight picks up the thing beneath the cover on the gurney sitting up.!
Suddenly Laboratory Of Evil cuts in, as with a roar, the shape grabs the sheet, and tears it off of him, revealing El Monstruo de Los Genios Malvados! He swings his legs off of the trolley, and stands up, with a roar, barely muffled by his mask. He stands there a while, just roaring at the crowd, until Dr. Loco smacks him about the back, and when the monster turns to face him, he points to the ring, letting out a burst of instructions in Spanish. With a roar, El Monstruo turns and marches down to the ring, Los Genios Malvados following after him, laughing and pointing as they do.
El Monstruo, without breaking pace, leaps up to the apron, before stepping in over the top rope, marching to the middle of the ring, and roaring once more, before just standing there. The two doctors slide in beside him, cackling maniacally as they all await the bell.
Esteban Palacios: Desde el Laboratorio, con un peso combinado de 642 libras… Doctor Loco… Doctor Malo… y El Monstruo de los Genios Malvados… LOS GENIOS MALVADOS! Y sus oponentes...
At this, "Light Up The Night" by The Protomen kicks in mid-song, bringing out The Perfect Evil, Evelyn Kuller, flanked on either side by her “cousins”, followed by the collected Doktors Adversary, Logan Adversary, Viktor Adversary, and Cyril Kuller! She stands on the stage, clapping along with the music, mouthing along, getting the crowd going. Besides her, Gill happily claps along, out of rhythm though, much to the chagrin of Viktor, as Dragón merely scowls at the crowd. As it builds to the main line, Evelyn holds one finger up as the lights begin to dim, getting them ready for the moment, the crowd building along with her.
The lights explode back on, fireworks along the stage going off as Evelyn sets off on a run down the ring, visibly mouthing along with the song even as she slides under the ropes to enter the ring. Gill charges down besides her, beaming as he slaps every outstretched hand he can reach, whilst Dragón menacingly paces down to the ring, the three brothers following, Viktor and Logan audibly bragging about the superiority of their respective creations, with Cyril visibly shaking his head at his siblings’ actions. Evelyn and Gill happily join each other in the ring, holding each other’s hands aloft, as Dragón slowly joins them, letting out a loud, challenging roar in the direction of El Monstruo.
Evelyn pops up to her feet, coming to face the camera. She raises an arm, to the crowd watching live and at home, mouthing along with the song to them.
The song fades at this, Evelyn flashing a smile before moving to her corner, waiting for the action to start.
After a tense few moments, with the two Trios eyeing each other up from opposite sides of the ring, the match started in the only way it ever could have, with Dragón roaring a challenge at Monstruo. The Doctors cackled wildly as they stepped out, leaving their creation to face Logan’s. Dragón, for his part, pushed Evelyn and Gill back, making it clear he wanted to start.
And start they did, as Monstruo and Dragón hooked up in the ring, in a massive test of strength. They twisted, they turned, they fought for position… and ultimately got nowhere as each… man for lack of a better term… proved the other’s equal, until Monstruo was able to put his superior size to use, managing to swing Dragón around and into the ropes, catching the returning luchador with a Thesz Press. Monstruo managed to keep on top of things, keeping Dragón from getting on his feet with quick tosses and slams, until Dragón reversed a Hip Toss. As he roared in triumph, Gill leant in, getting the quick tag. Dragón seemed angered a moment, before Gill signalled to Monstruo, standing, and the pair charged, sending the beast tumbling over the top rope to the outside. Dragón waited only a moment before running to the ropes, coming back and Springboarding to the outside with a huge Crossbody, colliding with Monstruo and driving him into the barricade.
In the ring, Gill gave the crowd an almost robotic salute, before spinning on the ball of his foot, and pointing out Doctor Loco to join him in the ring, causing Viktor to shout at him from the apron to “BE MORE EVIL”. Gill ignored this advice, smiling as Loco joined him in the ring, whilst Dragón and Monstruo continued to get to it on the outside. Loco nervously got in, eyeing up the trios trump card brawling on the outside.
And then things got messy.
Gill quickly showed Loco to perhaps be more suited to time in the laboratory than in the ring, his almost unbelievable speed, sending the Doctor in every direction. Loco managed to get a few licks in, but every time he seemed to build a defence, Gill smashed it down, ultimately bringing Loco crashing down with a Satellite DDT. He looked to pin, Monstruo still tied up with Dragón on the outside, but he looked to the crowd. He then looked to his other “cousin”... and tagged in Evelyn Kuller!
Gill quickly returned to Loco, picking him up, and whipping him to Evelyn, allowing her to bring him crashing down with her Free Of Strings, much to the delight of the crowd. As Gill leaves, she stands, and points to Malo, terrified on the apron! He shakes his head, but she just smiles and nods, before rolling Loco out of the ring, forcing Malo into being the legal man, Monstruo still brawling wildly with Dragón on the outside! Reluctantly, Malo entered the ring. And with great glee, Evelyn went to town.
Malo tried. He tried to use his height, and weight advantage. Evelyn, however, used her talent advantage, successfully reversing and evading Malo’s attacks, all the while hitting him harder and harder, wearing him down, before finishing her assault with a Sheer Heart Attack, holding on for the pin… ONLY TO GET A FACE FULL OF MONSTRUO SIZED BOOT! Monstruo having just whipped Dragón to the ring steps, he climbed into the ring, and broke up the pin, big style. Loco out on the outside, Malo down in the ring, Monstruo the worse for wear but still ticking, the creations all looked at each other, and nodded. As he hauled Evelyn upright, Dragón slid into the ring, pulling him off her, before taking him over with a massive Dragón Suplex! Monstruo roared, and sat up… only for Gill to springboard in with a huge Tornillo! Monstruo roared, throwing Gill off of him… hastily getting up… only for Evelyn to catch him with the Adverse Effects! She held on… and got the pin!
Rather than Light Up The Night, Ratamahatta starts to play, as out from the back comes Miedo!
Winston Robinson: Oh, right, of course. The “prize”.
Walking down to the ring, the crowd boos, but he ignores them, focused on the threesome in the ring. He wastes no time in entering the ring, and standing facing the three competitors. Evelyn and Gill adopt defencive stances, whilst Dragón merely smiles. Behind them, Cyril, Logan and Viktor enter the ring. Miedo brings up the microphone.
Miedo: Congratulations.
Winston Robinson: Oh, it seems like I don’t need to translate tonight.
Dave: Well, there’re a lot of people in that ring who don’t speak spanish. I think this is just easier.
Miedo: Your prize stands before you. Rule with us, or serve under us.
Logan and Viktor quickly enter a huddle. Dragón eagerly nods his head, whilst Gill looks decidedly less certain. It’s a single voice that breaks the tension.
Evelyn Kuller: No.
Everyone stops, and looks to her.
Evelyn Kuller: I won’t be used like this again.
She walks straight out, Cyril watching her a moment, smiling away, before joining her. Miedo looks pointedly at the remaining four. The Doktors look to him, then to their relatives, leaving the ring, before huddling once more. Miedo hands the microphone to Gill, who in turn passes it to Viktor, as he emerges from the huddle. Viktor and Logan fight for control of the mic as they speak.
Viktor Adversary: After careful deliberation…
Logan Adversary: … taking into account all available data…
Viktor Adversary: … we have decided it is in the best interests of science…
Logan Adversary: … and family relations…
Logan and Viktor: … to decline.
Miedo stares at the pair in the silence a moment, before snatching the microphone from Viktor’s trembling hand. Gill looks slightly relieved, Dragón slightly disappointed. Miedo brings the mic to his mouth.
Miedo: Leave. Now.
The two Doktors quickly leave, Viktor ushering out Gill whilst Logan practically has to drag Dragón out of the ring. As they go, Los Genios slowly stand. Miedo turns to face them.
Miedo: I was impressed in this contest. If you wish to join us… you know what to do.
The two doctors look at each other in surprise, hugging each other in delight. They turn to the crowd… and into two colossal hands wrapping around their necks, grabbing tight, before lifting them and slamming them down to the mat… leaving only Monstruo standing!
Winston Robinson: OH MY GOD! MONSTRUO JUST TURNED ON HIS CREATORS!
Dave: Miedo said someone in this contest would join the Reinado… and he stands before us! Recruiting Monstruo is a massive win for the Reinado. A Monstruo unburdened by Los Genios even more so. Maybe he never even meant the Adversarys!
In the ring, Miedo nods, and leaves, Monstruo following him like a loyal dog.
Winston Robinson: With Monstruo by their side, El Reinado just got a whole lot more deadly. We’re going to go to commercials for a while, but when we return, we’ll see Maria and El Cid team up to face the Reinado pairing of JUNKETSU and Rosa!
We return to a video package; blue smoke swirls against darkness. Footsteps cut through it, and we see slivers of a man in a long, flowing cape and a broad-brimmed hat. He spreads his arms theatrically before vanishing into the mist again. When he reappears he produces a long silver-handled cane apparently out of thin air and points it at us, then disappears. Finally, in a close-up of his head for the first time, he pushes his hat back to reveal his face. The man smiles enigmatically then clicks his fingers, and with a swirl of his cape, he’s gone. A legend appears:
Maldonado el Magnífico
Próximamente
We fade back to ringside.
Winston Robinson: Looks like yet another new face is coming to HELL! But up next, some big rivalries here in HELL that have intertwined; Maria’s two nemeses in JUNKETSU and Rosa Rodríguez have joined forces against her, but Maria’s got backup in another enemy of JUNKETSU, El Cid!
Dave: Maria and El Cid are sure to be the more cohesive team, but Rosa and JUNKETSU are are still dangerous enough as individuals to be a threat to any team no matter how well they get on.
Esteban Palacios: Presentando el equipo del Reinado del Terror ... primero...
As the haunting melody of “Immer Sie” by Ito Kanako begins and the lyrics ring out through the PA system, the faint sound of rain is also heard on the background as the lights fade and a sole spotlight focuses on the entrance as JUNKETSU makes her way out from the curtains and slowly marches down the ramp, ignoring the stretched hands, the crowd noises and all else in between, her focus solely on the ring while shadow boxing and nodding her head in the rhythm of the punches she’s throwing before rolling into the ring and climbing to the top turnbuckle, pulling off her hood to stare out at the crowd as they boo the extranjera before hopping off the turnbuckle, unzipping her vest and taking off the gas mask, handing those things to the referee before preparing herself for what is to come.
Esteban Palacios: Del Océano Pacífico… JUNKETSU! Y su pareja...
As En La Nada begins playing through the PA, Rosa enters the arena. She poses a moment at the top of the entranceway, washed in red light, flaunting her toned body. After a few moments, she continues down to the ring, laughing all the while, before climbing the ring steps, and entering the ring between the top and middle ropes, making the move almost torturously slow as she accentuates her ass. She slowly walks to the centre of the ring, replicates her earlier sexy pose, before blowing off the audience, and retreating to her corner.
Esteban Palacios: De Tijuana… ROSA! RODRÍGUEZ!
The lights in the arena drop to a low level, as smoke starts to fill the entranceway while Rodríguez and JUNKETSU eye each other cautiously; after all, despite their alliance and apparent friendship, the latter is not exactly known for being a tag team wrestler.
Esteban Palacios: Y sus oponentes...
JUMP DA FUCK UP
With that, Maria bursts into the arena, to a rally of applause from the crowd, El Cid appearing a step behind her. They clasp hands Blood Brothers style, then continue down to the ring slapping hands with the crowd as they go before rolling in under the bottom rope together as they reach the apron. In the ring, Maria addresses the referee, bowing quickly out of respect, while El Cid climbs up on the turnbuckles and raises his arms to cheers. They both then take their corner, where Maria removes her jacket and El Cid stretches his arm muscles on the top rope.
Esteban Palacios: En un peso combinado de 369 libras… EL CID y MARIA!
Rosa and Maria started things off, and judging from the way they both launched straight into high octane offence the personal animosity between them hadn't cooled any. They blasted each other with incredible strikes right from the bell, each going all out in the name of gaining some payback for the respective slights against each other over the last few months.
It was Rosa who got the better of the exchanges in the long run, although some might say that had something to do with JUNKETSU striking Maria in the spine with a knee shot when Rosa whipped her towards the Reinado corner. The rudos instantly seized on the opportunity with fast tags, almost never stopping the flow of double team manoeuvres. The double teams weren't flashy or particularly well co-ordinated, but what they lacked in advanced teamwork they made up for in simple violence. In the opposite corner, El Cid was getting frustrated, banging on the ropes and calling to Maria to break free from the Reinado web. Rosa turned to taunt him - and Maria quickly slipped under the bottom rope! El Cid sprinted into the ring and clobbered Rosa with a clothesline, then dumped her out of the ring to focus on JUNKETSU. El Cid and JUNKETSU's own burgeoning rivalry came to the fore as they started going at it, with El Cid tossing the scourge of the técnicos around like a rag doll and JUNKETSU returning fire with running strikes and takedowns hard enough that nobody would have been surprised if the ring broke. The renowned physical toughness of both competitors was on full display, and every time it seemed like one of them had delivered a blow big enough to keep their opponent down, they somehow found a way to come back into it.
When Maria had recovered she re-entered the match, gaining a measure of revenge over JUNKETSU, building on the heavy brawling of El Cid with fast throws to keep the Reinado woman unable to get her balance. But Maria's rivalry with Rosa cost her as the latter started to enter the ring illegally; Maria took the bait, allowing JUNKETSU to slither out and regroup. Rosa charged in and speared Maria down, and with evident satisfaction started working her over. The crowd did all they could to will the fight back into Maria, but to no avail - as soon as Maria found the comeback with an STO counter to a neckbreaker, the double teams started up again. Maria kept kicking out of everything, however, and Rosa resorted to fishooking her! El Cid saw red and charged the ring, stomping Rosa in the back of the head, until JUNKETSU took him down with a big heel kick. In the confusion Maria rolled Rosa up for a two point nine!
As Rosa rose, Maria sent her towards the técnico corner with a drop toehold and as she stumbled, El Cid helped her down with a DDT. It was time for Cid and Maria to get going with double teams of their own, far more fluid than their opponents', with much better communication. Before long, Rosa was in serious trouble. At least that was until JUNKETSU grabbed El Cid's ankles as he went for a vaulting body press from the apron, yanking him down to ringside where she almost took one of his teeth out with a flapjack into the apron. She slid in and prised Maria off Rosa, and they whipped her into the ropes... on the way back, Rosa went for a back body drop while JUNKETSU went for a high kick! The miscue meant Maria managed to twist and avoid them both, and as she came off the opposite ropes she wiped them both out with a crossbody. She kicked JUNKETSU under the ropes, then turned to the rising Rosa and blasted her with the Chute Furacão kick!
JUNKETSU vaulted back to the top rope, looking to leap down to break up the pin, but El Cid was right behind her and threw her off, sending her crashing all the way down to ringside while Maria picked up the three count! But there was no celebration; before Rosa and JUNKETSU could recover and administer a beatdown, El Cid and Maria hastily slid under the bottom rope and ran to the back as fast as they could.
Winston Robinson: The power of teamwork! El Reinado were in control for long stretches of that match, but in the end Maria and El Cid’s superior simpatico helped them pick up the win. And they avoid one of El Reinado’s trademark post-match beatdowns as well!
Dave: And next, here’s a match that would easily Main Event many other shows, as brother faces brother, as Crash Delgado, leader of the fledgling Máquinas de Guerra, faces up against the head of the Reinado, Miedo!
Winston Robinson: Los Máquinas have so far been the most vocal in their fighting the Reinado, Crash, the Flanagans and Tsurugi Kanemoto unifying to battle the injustice they see. Let’s see how they fair as Crash takes the fight straight to the heart of the Reinado, next.
Esteban Palacios: Presentamos el primer…
As Not Today bursts out over the PA, Crash comes charging through the entranceway, to a barrage of cheers from the crowd. At the top of the ramp, he removes his t-shirt, throwing it into the crowd, before sprinting down to the ring at full speed. He leaps up to the apron in a single bound, before spinning on the ball of his foot, hooking one leg over the middle ring, before spreading his arms wide beckoning the crowd to chant for him. After headbanging to his theme on the apron a little, he finally steps into the ring between the top and middle ropes, spinning as he does, calling for the crowd to cheer him, before getting in place to get in his opponent's face.
Esteban Palacios: Desde Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, y un peso de 230 libras... CRASH DELGADO! Y su oponente...
As the drum intro to Cucarachas Enojadas blasts over the PA system, Miedo appears in the entranceway, bathed in a dark green light. He stands there as the intro plays out, surveying the crowd, bathing in their boos and jeers. As the music picks up in the tempo, he heads straight for the ring, nodding his head in time to the music. As he reaches the apron, he speeds up, sliding in under the bottom rope, before springing back up to his feet with a roar. He gazes at the crowd all around him, before raising his left fist high in the air. He stays put in the middle of the ring, not retreating to his corner, waiting for the match to begin.
Esteban Palacios: También desde Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, y inclinando la balanza en 245 libras… MIEDO!
The two brothers began by squaring up to each other in the middle of the ring; Miedo’s face impassive, Crash’s filled with rage. It was Crash who threw the first punch, and the second, and the third. It was Miedo who broke the flow with a hard knee, however, followed up with a Vertical Suplex.
From there the contest moved back and forth, a war of attrition, for every punch or slam Crash attempted, Miedo hit harder, and faster. Crash managed to connect with a Crash Kick off an Irish Whip, only for Miedo to connect with a Temiendo Este when Crash tried to follow up. Miedo built a head of steam, getting a two count from a Muerte Desde Arriba, Crash refusing to give in.
As Miedo looked to put his brother away, Crash managed to get a second wind, hitting his brother with hard, quick strikes to the body. Miedo tried to whip him into a corner, but Crash managed to leap, landing on the middle rope. As Miedo charged, Crash leapt off, going for the Crashnado… but Miedo’s hand snapped out, catching Crash in mid-air, before connecting with a huge Garra Miedo! Showing nothing but contempt, he covered his sibling with a single boot on the chest, gaining the three count before walking out of the ring, not even awaiting the official declaration.
Dave: Crash tried, you can not deny that he tried.
Winston Robinson: Miedo is El Rey for a reason though, and ever since he gathered the Reinado around him, he’s been nigh on unstoppable.
Dave: We’ve more commercials now, but when we get back,we have Parejas action, as Bradley Chadwick and El Macaw find themselves under the scrutiny of the Reinado for daring to resist them at Dia, as they now have to face the EXODUS pairing of Monsters, Inc., Justin Brooks and Mistress Vivi!
Winston Robinson: Hello fans, whether you’ve been with us since our opening match, or with us since now, we hope you’re ready for great action, as we see a change to our card. The scheduled Supreme XWA Championship defence has been move to a joint Main Event, and now we see two monsters from EXODUS face our resident exoticos.
Dave: I like El Macaw, and Bradley, I do. But them facing Brooks and Vivi? I don’t see this going well for them.
Esteban Palacios: Presentamos el primer …
The lights fade in the arena for a moment, multiple colored spotlights showing up as the PA system picks up immediately from the 32 second mark of “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes, 2 figures slowly stepping forward from the curtains, one’s silhouette partly covered by a pair of huge macaw wings until he’s in full view of the spotlights, revealing himself to be none other than “El Macaw” as the crowd cheers appropriately as they take a look at his visage, Bradley Chadwick stood alongside him posing, and drawing the crowd’s attention to his flamboyant partner. It does not take long for the pair to walk down the ramp, calling themselves things like a “firestarter, baby” and telling the world they’re ready to bring the fun straight down to HELL as they then hops up the apron and enters the ring carefully...the spotlights coming down to the center of the ring as a familiar line to meme enthusiasts everywhere hits the PA system…
At the cue, El Macaw spreads his wings wide to the awe of the crowd while singing the chorus of the song in full and leading the crowd along to it, Bradley conducting the crowd from the turnbuckle, getting even bigger cheers from them before the lights return to normal and “What’s Up” fades from the PA system while El Macaw carefully removes his macaw wings, passing them along to the timekeeper on the outside as the pair prepare for his match.
Esteban Palacios: En un peso combinado de 392 libras... EL MACAW Y BRADLEY CHADWICK! Y sus oponentes…
Hit ‘Em High (The Monstar’s Anthem) starts playing, and a large chorus of boos erupt from the HELL faithful as Justin Brooks appears from the curtain and stands there with a smirk on his lips as he places his hands on his waist. By his side is Simon Raines with a microphone in his hand and a collar around his neck. He turns to watch as Mistress Vivi saunters down the ramp, hips swaying in time to the beat. The crowd boos all, but Mistress Vivi keeps her eyes on her target, Brooks keeping his eyes on the middle of the squared circle as he slowly makes his way towards the ring. As they reach the ring, Simon steps up to the apron and holds the ropes so that Mistress Vivi can enter the squared circle. She gives him a kiss and stands in the center of the ring, hands on her hips, surveying the crowd with a grin, as Brooks slides underneath the bottom rope and quickly standing to his feet and looks amongst the crowd as run his tongue over the front of his teeth. Justin just leaps to the second turnbuckle and throws his hands in the air before leaping down from the turnbuckle.
Simon Raines: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my privilege and my pleasure to introduce to you, representing El Reinado… the Monster of the Bay, Justin Brooks, and the Monster of the French Quarter... my one and only... Mistress Vivi… MONSTERS, INC.!
Vivi hands Simon her top hat and riding crop and he bows his head, waiting for her blessing before exiting the ring. As he departs, she goes to her corner with Brooks and waits, staring down Chadwick and Macaw.
As the bell rang, it was Macaw mixing up with Vivi. The pair of high flying show offs didn’t fail to disappoint, as each sort to outdo the other not only in impact, but showmanship, adding increasingly more flamboyant touches to their moves. It was Vivi who managed to get the edge, catching Macaw offguard with a Creole Surprise, followed by a quick one count, before getting the tag to Brooks.
What followed was an excellent display in tag wrestling, the Monsters, Inc. pairing keeping each other fresh, and Macaw isolated, as they hit with an array of double team moves, as well as singles manoeuvres. A big Double Brainbuster earned Vivi another 1 count, and an Irish Whip/Spear combo got Brooks a massively close 2 count. The punishment continued a while longer, until Macaw managed to duck a Clothesline off an Irish Whip, and slide out of the ring! Brooks turned quickly, but not quickly enough to stop Bradley launching into the ring, and catching him with a Springboard DDT! Vivi hit the ring, only to get an Arm Drag for her trouble. Brooks up to a knee, only to get a Step-Up Knee Strike for his trouble. Vivi once more… and Bradley threw her out the ring! Brooks got up again, and charged, only to get reversed to the corner… STRAIGHT INTO A KISS FROM EL MACAW! The lip assault confused Brooks just long enough, as Bradley rolled him up with a Schoolboy for the three count!
Bradley is straight back to his feet, looking to get out of the ring… only to get hit by a Reminder from Vivi! Macaw tries to help, but is pulled off the apron by Simon Raines… WHO THEN HITS HIM WITH A PHUKET!
Dave: Simon Raines with that huge Running Bicycle Knee Strike! It seems there’s still life in him yet.
Simon goes to work on Macaw on the outside, alternating strikes from the riding crop with stomps, whilst Brooks and Vivi go to town on Chadwick in the ring. After a couple of minutes, with no end in sight, the Monsters throw their hands high, declaring victory, before leaving en masse leaving the beaten Macaw and Chadwick in the arena.
Winston Robinson: I… I don’t know what to say. The Reinado did say something about teaching Chadwick and Macaw a lesson… I guess that was it.
Dave: And here come the medics.
Winston Robinson: We’re all praying that no serious damage was inflicted, and that Bradley and Macaw are back on their feet ASAP. And even though they lost the match, Monsters, Inc were just as terrifying as we expected...
Dave: But right now our new Legión del HELL Campeones have their first test in Django and Thunder, who’ve come together alongside Reina Galáctica as La Alianza Rebelde. No Reinados in this match - at least not officially. We’ll see how long that lasts.
Esteban Palacios: La siguiente lucha es por el Legión del HELL Campeonato! Primero, los retadores...
As the disco beat for "Guerra de la Galaxias" begins, smoke starts to flood the entranceway. As the horns begin to sound, out from the smoke steps Reina Galáctica, lasers shooting out from the floor behind her, cutting through the smoke. Two more shapes emerge from the smoke behind her: Django and Thunder. As the music continues, the recently formed Alianza Rebelde head down the ramp, Reina clapping her hands above her head, and encouraging the audience to do the same while Sanshiro Sasaki, trailing the group, accents her claps with claps of his own. As the group heads to the ring, Django and Thunder talk over strategy. All four of them climb onto the apron and then step through the ropes together, then cross to their corner; Reina mounts the turnbuckles and pumps her fists, while Django and Thunder stand on the mat beneath her, the former with his arms raised, the latter with his folded. In front of them, Sanshiro drops to one knee, arms swirling as he encourages the fans to cheer.
Esteban Palacios: Con un peso combinado de 464 libras, acompañado por la Reina Galáctica y Sanshiro Sasaki ... Django y Thunder ... LA ALIANZA REBELDE!
The sweeping theme of "The Avengers" plays over the PA system as El Héroe Azul leads out his teammates, White Phoenix and El Buho. The trio head down the aisle, playing to the fans a little bit as they reach the ring. Upon entering, each man takes to a turnbuckle, though El Héroe Azul receives the largest reaction of the three by far when he poses.
Esteban Palacios: Y sus oponentes ... ellos están reinando y defender campeonatos! Acompañado por su pareja El Buho y un peso de 461 libras... White Phoenix y El Héroe Azul... los HIGH! FLYING! HEROES!
To the crowd's delight, the match started with great shows of respect between the seven individuals, shaking hands and bowing. Reina, Sanshiro and Buho all dropped down to ringside, while Héroe and Thunder stepped onto their respective aprons. White Phoenix and Django began circling, then went into a lockup. They started out with good old fashioned chain wrestling, White Phoenix's skill and Django's power making for an interesting contrast. Each man had runs of control, but neither went for the victory this early; at this stage, it was all about feeling out. Eventually however, the stoic and far more experienced Django apparently felt he'd learned what he needed to learn and he tagged Thunder into the match.
Thunder and Phoenix went at it hard with strong style grapples and strikes, but after a couple of minutes (when they broke apart for a moment) Thunder held up a hand as if requesting a time out. Phoenix was confused... until Thunder pointed at El Héroe Azul! High Flying Heroes conferred for a second, then acceded and made the tag. As El Héroe stepped into the ring, Thunder bowed deeply to him, showing his respect for the lucha legend. Azul stared at him coolly... then the fans went ballistic as the veteran gave the rookie a shallow bow of his own! The two men quickly locked up and began jockeying. Despite his evident admiration for El Héroe, Thunder more than brought it, staying on the Blue Hero and using his incredible strength to prevent him from finding the manoeuvrability needed for his more athletic moves. But a competitor of El Héroe's experience was hardly going to let one game-plan falter without having another in his pocket and he soon turned the tables with his own powerful upper body strength, trapping Thunder's arms and wearing them down with joint stretches. Thunder managed to muscle out of it and went for the Thunder Crack shortarm lariat, but the aching in his bicep from Azul's holds meant he couldn't apply the setup single-arm straightjacket properly, and the defending campeón was quick to reply with the Trueno Azul! He went for the first pin attempt of the match following the blue thunder bomb... Thunder kicked out! As El Héroe stood, he bowed again, the rookie having clearly earned his respect, and tagged in White Phoenix.
Thunder tried to fight on gamely, ignoring Sanshiro and Reina's calls to tag out to Django and rest up. But as he lost ground to Phoenix he realised he had to, and let Django back in, to counter Phoenix's speed and agility with immovable resolve and the things he’d learned about the energetic youngster in the match’s opening minutes. Once again, both men had runs of dominance, but neither was quite able to pull ahead definitively; Django had more of the upper hand on balance, though, and eventually White Phoenix had to tag out again. The match went long in this vein, with many tags on both sides, and every combination mixing it up for extended periods. El Buho, Reina Galáctica and Sanshiro all chipped in with strategy, continuously talking things over with the inactive partner, and both teams adapted to the shifting strategies admirably. But one thing was very apparent as the minutes wore on: High Flying Heroes had the far better teamwork. Their tenure together came through in the fluidity of their double teams and tags; Django and Thunder just couldn't read each other as well as the champions, and repeatedly failed to gauge successfully which member ought to be in the ring at a given time. Reina and Sanshiro kept them motivated, though, and the Rebels showed their tenacity time and time again.
The fantastic match suddenly ground to a halt as a few unwelcome faces surrounded the ringside area: Mano Derecha, Mano Izquierda, Calavera and Ikiryo. The two Reinado tag teams didn't actually interfere, but they didn't have to; their very presence was enough to throw the Heroes and Rebels off their game. Buho and Reina both went to chase them off, but they were outnumbered two to four and couldn't monitor all four sides of the ring at once. Las Manos and Los Fantasmas seemed to be making a game out of teasing the interference, all trying to one-up each other on how close they got to the competitors in the ring without ever actually doing anything directly.
Finally Reina leaped at Mano Derecha, spearing him to the mat! His partner grabbed her by the hair, only to find Buho coming to her rescue. With this brawl going on at ringside Calavera took a challenging step toward the ring, and Thunder darted to the ropes to keep him at bay. Calavera stepped back, but jawed at the Japanese powerhouse; El Héroe Azul wasn't about to let El Reinado's presence cost himself and his friends the Legión del HELL Campeonato and grabbed Thunder from behind, lifting him into the air and planting him with a ring-shaking German suplex... one, two, three! As Esteban announced that High Flying Heroes had retained the title, the two técnico teams and their associates regrouped in the ring while the Reinado teams once again took up positions around the four sides. Thunder’s evident disappointment in his loss was quickly replaced by caution as El Reinado del Terror seemed poised to attack...
As the two teams circle the wagons against Las Manos and Los Fantasmas, the tension so heavy a single spark might ignite it, everyone suddenly feels that sensation of being watched! All eyes turn towards the top of the stands where a solitary man can be seen looking down at the assembled técnicos and rudos alike. He's wearing a black suit with an orange tie, to match the the colours of his thorn-decorated lucha mask.
Dave: Who's that up there?
But many of those in attendance recognise the veteran, world-travelled luchador now looking down at them - including our host.
Winston Robinson: That's Agente Naranja! Mentor of El Cid, trainee of Espíritu Santo and former tag team partner of El Hijo del Espíritu Santo! He's an old family friend of the Rodríguez familia... but with the family torn, where does his loyalty lie?
Agenta Naranja continues surveying the scene silently, waiting until Las Manos and Los Fantasmas back away and the two teams in the ring do the same, retreating in the opposite direction. Still giving no indication of his purpose or his allegiance, Agente nods once then turns and exits the auditorium.
Winston Robinson: The first match of our huge double main event is up now, as La Sombra Oscura has a chance to bring more gold to HELL! In the wake of XWA's uncertain future Supreme XWA Champion Laurel Anne Hardy has gone rogue with the title, and she's defending it here tonight, in front of us!
Dave: I have to wonder how ready she is for this, since her best friend and former tag team partner Evangelista suffered a broken neck last night at the hands of former EXODUS Pro World Champion Johnny Cannon. But nonetheless, Laurel's made the trip down here to perform for us again here in HELL.
Esteban Palacios: El siguiente lucha es para el SUPREME XWA CHAMPIONSHIP! Introducir el retador... de la Cuarta Generación... LA SOMBRA OSCURA!
This is what you want...
...this is what you get.
This is what you want...
...this is what you get.
As Public Image Ltd's "The Order Of Death" creeps over the speakers, the arena darkens dramatically. The black form of La Sombra Oscura skulks out and begins his slow walk to the ring. Trailing a little behind him is the huge shape of his agent and "translator", Tony Harrison. Ignoring the fans completely, La Sombra climbs onto the apron and steps through the ropes, and calmly takes his corner while he waits for the bell, displaying no emotion but patience. Tony accepts the mic from Esteban.
Tony Harrison: Ladies and gentlemen! TONIGHT, you lucky, lucky people get to bear witness to one of the greatest crimes in the history of professional wrestling being corrected. In 2011, Global Extreme Wrestling was destroyed by the actions of a bag of tart-stains named The Asylum. This great gentleman-
-he slaps La Sombra on the shoulder-
Tony Harrison: -and my own self, the King of Crunch, TONY FUCKING HARRISON, were two of that company's most popular performers. And we had it all ripped away from us by a shower of bastards... bastards like Laurel Anne Hardy. Tonight, Hardy, La Sombra Oscura gains a measure of revenge when he relieves you of the Supreme XWA Championship.
Esteban Palacios: Y su oponente... ella es la reinante y defendiendo Supreme XWA Champion... de Rhyl, Wales, que pesa 149 libras... LAUREL! ANNE! HARDY!
I hate purity.
I hate goodness.
I don't want virtue to exist anywhere.
I want everyone corrupt.
A cheer goes up for Manic Street Preachers' "Faster" and the XWA Champion bursts onstage, dressed in long tights, a long-sleeved top and a half-face lucha mask - all in white, with multicoloured stitching. No doubt Evangelista's injury is weighing heavily on her mind, but she's not letting it get in the way of putting on a show for the fans in Coliseo Inmortal. She slaps hands on her way to the ring, then after she rolls in, she too takes up the mic.
Laurel Anne Hardy: Hola HELL! Gracias por darme la bienvenida aquí. Es un honor. Tony... I can't defend what my friends and I did to GEW. We've been doing all we can since then to prevent other people from making the same mistake we did. But that won't undo the things done in the past. And you know what? La Sombra Oscura... if you defeat me tonight, I sincerely hope it does give you closure. As for myself... I'm honoured to be back here in HELL performing for all of you, I'm honoured to bring the passion of XWA to a new audience with or without the blessing of XWA's management, and you know what, this is about as close as I'm ever gonna get to facing my dream opponent:
She winks.
Laurel Anne Hardy: Myself. Vamos a hacerlo!
With that she tossed the mic to Tony, who left the ring. The crowd were split as Hardy and La Sombra began to circle; as popular as Laurel is, La Sombra Oscura was the home team in this. Laurel was obviously prepared for this match; as noted in the pre-match promos, she's shared a roster with La Sombra Oscura before so she knows his uncanny mimicry, and the jarring situation of having to second guess one's own strategy, first hand. As such there was no lock-up, no circling; Laurel backflipped away from La Sombra and dropped straight into a breakdance-like spin kick to sweep his legs out. But LSO avoided it with a backflip of his own, landing on his feet, and he sank against the ropes. He came back like a rocket, dropping into one of Hardy's own patented cartwheel dropkicks, but she managed to counter with a powerbomb! She flipped over his head into a jacknife pin, which La Sombra Oscura immediately reversed into a sitout pin. Laurel responded to that by going for a triangle choke, clearly looking for something from the back of her playbook to catch her duplicant opponent by surprise. After all, if any wrestler alive has devoted time to imagining what it would be like to wrestle themselves, you know it's Laurel Anne Hardy. But La Sombra dragged her up in a cradle, his weight advantage helping him as she dangled from her neck, and he span her into a sitout driver!
But there was no pin attempt. Instead La Sombra called to the crowd in a perfect imitation of Laurel's own manner, and punted her in the face with a stiff kick - the Stevie G, signature move of Evangelista! Despite her pain, Laurel gave La Sombra a round of applause - he'd accurately predicted that, in light of her best friend's vicious injury, she'd be adopting some of Evangelista's moves tonight. La Sombra rolled over her and locked in a scissored armbar. then using his knee, began smashing her head against the canvas. Having never had to counter her own Echo Chamber submission before, Laurel found herself at a loss, and was soon groggy. He hauled her up in a butterfly, then dropped her into a throatbuster, hitting her with the Winter Garden Photograph, then followed that up with Der Ursprung des Kunstwerkes, her inverted sitout side slam. Finally he went for the pin... but only got a two count!
Hardy roared back into it with agile strikes, including spinning backfists and capoeira kicks. With La Sombra reeling she went for a fisherman hold, no doubt seeking one of her Party Hardy driver variants, but La Sombra twisted her arms into a labai throw. He went for the shining enzuigiri to complete the Super Duper Acid Party combo, but Laurel schoolgirled him for another near fall! All of this took place in just a couple of minutes, and so it continued as the Supreme XWA Champion and her doppelganger for the evening escalated counter after counter; for stretches of up to two minutes at a time, not a single move actually found home as every attempted blow and every attempted throw was reversed into something else, only for that to be re-reversed, and on and on. Finally, Laurel created separation by turning an attempted spinning heel kick from La Sombra Oscura into a monkey flip that sent him crashing across the ring; after kipping up, she charged in after him, only to be met with a spinning monkey flip herself! Being much lighter than La Sombra she flew farther, and ended up tangled in the ropes. She quickly extricated herself... but not quickly enough to avoid the spear from La Sombra sending them both right through the ropes to ringside!
Adopting Laurel's own deathmatch prowess, La Sombra began to punish her on the outside using every hard object that came to hand while the referee administered a twenty count. He whipped her towards the steps, but she flipped off them in a Whisper in the Wind to knock him down! Still woozy and unsteady herself, Hardy rolled her challenger under the bottom rope just in time to avoid the double countout. She climbed up after him and gripped the ropes, then leapt over him aiming for his neck with The Poseidon Misadventure.
La Sombra caught her, and span her into a sitout powerbomb! He flopped across her for another close count. He took a moment to recover, feeling Hardy's own cardio problems catching up to him; the match had now easily passed the ten minute mark despite having almost never stopped. Things progressed a little more slowly now, as Hardy's lungs were clearly burning from the way she was gulping down breaths, and La Sombra was copying her weaknesses as well as her strengths. They began to trade stiff strikes once again, slower this time, targeting each other's heads. La Sombra went for a hadouken; Laurel ducked it and swept his leg out. Or, at least, tried to - but he jumped over it. He swung a boot at her head, and she again rolled him up, but he rolled through and pulled her up in a full nelson. Laurel dropped through his arms and scooted backwards between his legs, and flipped him off his feet.
This time it was she who pulled him up, in a hammerlock. She rolled over his spine, swinging him off his feet with an armdrag. She kept it applied and used it to leap across his shoulders as he tried to stand, dropping her tailbone across the back of his head! Anus Horribilus! And sure enough, she went for the traditional follow up to that move: her feared submission finisher, The Doors of Perception. Mounted on his back, she wrapped his arms around her own shins and his face, and cranked back as hard as she could. But does Laurel Anne Hardy tap out? No, she does not. And so neither did La Sombra Oscura. Realising that she was fighting against her own warped pain threshold, Laurel accepted that she had to release the hold.
Hardy dragged LSO to his feet - but before she could connect with anything, he rolled her into a small package! She only just kicked out, and she checked with the ref that the match was still going. As she stood he took her back down with a second Winter Garden Photograph, then crossed to the corner and began to climb. Laurel slowly, shakily, got back to her feet... La Sombra sailed down in her diving knee strike to the back of the skull, named Sunfall... Laurel scouted and sidestepped it! As he fell with his knee extended, she caught him with a shinbreaker! She quickly rolled him into a magistral cradle, and that, much closer to the 20 minute mark than the 10, was finally the three count!
Hardy stands and pushes her mask back to wipe the worst of the sweat from her face after the long, gruelling match, then pulls it back down. She helps La Sombra to his feet and then extends a hand to him; he eyes it suspiciously. She shrugs and turns to Tony as he hits the ring, offering him a handshake instead. He grimaces and grumbles, but after a moment - and with a bit of reluctance on his features - he accepts it and shakes her hand. Then Laurel repeats the gesture to La Sombra Oscura and this time, hesitantly, he accepts. The crowd cheer both competitors as the shake hands and then again as Laurel raises La Sombra's arm, gesturing at him praisingly.
Winston Robinson: What a performance from La Sombra Oscura. I thought he had her a few times there. But it wasn’t to be; a loss, no championship for him, but he’s still impressed here tonight by matching one of the most unorthodox wrestlers in the world at her own game.
Dave: And here we have it, folks, our second main event.
Winston Robinson: El Hijo del Espíritu Santo is back, and like his younger brother Crash, looking to take the fight straight into the heart of HELL! Whereas Delgado failed against the might of Miedo, El Hijo looks to make a significant impact as he takes on Miedo’s trusted lieutenant, the mysterious bounty hunter known as Mixcoatl!
Dave: Mixcoatl is good. But El Hijo is pissed. His dad got beat up, and is now missing. His brother usurped his position as heir. Plus there was the beatdown he received at Reino. He’s going to be looking to make an impact here, and he’s going to be looking to do it big style.
Esteban Palacios: Presentamos el primer, ya en el ring, desde Las Ruinas de Tenochtitlan, Distrito Federal, Mexico, con un peso de 200 libras… MIXCOATL!
As “Gehrman, The First Hunter” fades out, Mixcoatl raises a solitary arm aloft, as the crowd boos.
Esteban Palacios: Y su oponente…
As Holy begins to play, smoke floods into the entranceway, as the lights simultaneously begin to dim. As the drum beat starts, El Hijo del Espíritu Santo strolls out through the smoke, tendrils of it clutching to his heels as he walks. The crowd bursts to life as he slowly strolls to the ring, waving at them as he goes. His pace constant, he speeds up as he approaches the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope. As he rises, he spreads his arms wide as he basks in the cheers of the crowd. He walks to his corner, and climbs the turnbuckles, spreading his arms wide as he reaches the top.
Esteban Palacios: Desde Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, y un peso de 163 libras… EL HIJO DEL ESPÍRITU SANTO!
The two men eye each other up, across the ring, as they slowly begin to pace sideways. The bell rings.
Dave: And we’re underway. Mixcoatl has had some big victories recently, including acquiring the SSWA Trios Championships alongside his Reinado stable mates JUNKETSU and Holly Chainsaw, but how will he fair alone tonight, and against a fired up Hijo to boot?
Winston Robinson: El Hijo hasn’t had the best of luck since HELL begun, but the fans at home know he’s immensely talented, one reason why he was the one chosen to bear his father’s legacy over his elder brother.
It’s Mixcoatl who charges in, going straight for a Lariat, but Hijo ducks it, spinning and delivering a hard kick to the bounty hunter’s thigh, followed by a second one. Mixcoatl goes for a second Clothesline, but Hijo ducks it again, before turning and laying in three rapid fire kicks into that same thigh.
Dave: Smart move from El Hijo, if he takes out Mixcoatl’s lateral base, he cuts off a lot of his aerial offense.
To break the assault, Mixcoatl shoves Hijo hard, into the ropes, ducking as he comes back. But Hijo sees it coming, and drives a hard kick straight into Mixcoatl’s chest, bringing him straight back up. Hijo charges, but Mixcoatl sidesteps, shoving Hijo hard into the opposite rope. He tries to catch him as he returns, but Hijo hooks on and spins around the body, before bringing Mixcoatl down with a Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors! Hijo gets back up, but Mixcoatl was up faster! He charges, and takes Hijo down with a Running Corkscrew Crossbody!
Winston Robinson: Did you see that? What a move from Mixcoatl.
Mixcoatl drives a stomp straight into Hijo’s skull, before pulling him up by the mask, before dropping him straight back down with a Reverse DDT. He lays in a quick Soccer Kick, before hitting a Standing Moonsault, holding on for the pin.

Shoulder up!
Dave: That was optimistic from Mixcoatl. With El Hijo as fired up as he is tonight, it’s going to take a lot more than that to keep him down.
Shaking his head, Mixcoatl drags El Hijo up to his feet, delivering a Forearm to the face… and getting a kick to the side of the ribs in response! Hijo quickly follows up with another, and a third, before running to the ropes, Springboarding into a Huracanrana… straight into a Dropsault from Mixcoatl!
Winston Robinson: El Hijo, getting cocky, or frustrated, or whatever there, trying to break out the big hits too soon.
Mixcoatl doesn’t waste a moment, pulling Hijo straight up, and connecting with a Dropkick, sending Hijo staggering straight into the ropes. Mixcoatl charges, but Hijo drops a shoulder, and as Mixcoatl reaches him he stands, hoisting Mixcoatl up and over the top rope, crashing to the floor below. Hijo takes only a second to eye up Mixcoatl on the outside, before running the ropes, returning, and vaulting the ropes, hitting a huge Somersault Plancha on Mixcoatl as he starts to stand, sending the pair crashing to the floor.
Winston Robinson: Massive move from El Hijo there… absolutely decimating Mixcoatl out there on the floor.
El Hijo is the first standing, hauling Mixcoatl up, and rolling him in under the bottom rope. He quickly slides in behind him, going for the pinfall.
ONE
Shoulder up!
El Hijo shakes his head a moment, before hauling Mixcoatl up, and whipping him to the ropes. Mixcoatl reverses it, sending Hijo running, but as he returns it’s Hijo who’s the quicker, knocking Mixcoatl back with a Dropkick. He quickly runs the ropes, coming back with a Springboard Moonsault, and going for the pin.

Kickout! Mixcoatl hangs on, as El Hijo hammers the mat in frustration. He stands up, and eyes Mixcoatl up, connecting with a quick Roundhouse Kick to the as he stands, sending him kneeling. He runs to the ropes, and comes back, connecting with an Espíritu Bomba! He goes for the pin.
Dave: Here it is!

THR-
SHOULDER UP!
Winston Robinson: A sloppy cover there, from El Hijo, not pinning the shoulders.
El Hijo is visibly frustrated, slapping his own face twice before bouncing up to his feet, and pointing to the top turnbuckle. As the crowd cheers, he sprints to the corner, leaping to the top turnbuckle in a single bound. He takes a moment at the top to cross himself, before launching himself off in an Espíritu en el Cielo… STRAIGHT INTO THE KNEES OF MIXCOATL! El Hijo ricochets off, holding his ribs, obviously in pain.
Dave: Again, El Hijo making the big attack before making sure his opponent was out.
Both men are out on the mat, as the referee starts to count. At the four, Mixcoatl starts to stir, slowly getting up to his feet. At the six, El Hijo follows, faster that Mixcoatl, still favoring his ribs. He gets upright first, and charges at Mixcoatl, going for a Lariat, but Mixcoatl ducks the arm, spinning, and hooks his arm around El Hijo, connecting with the Lámina de la Honda! He doesn’t stop there, dragging El Hijo upright, and sending him running to the ropes. As El Hijo comes back, he dives forward, going for a Spear, but Mixcoatl ducks it, dropping back first to the mat, letting El Hijo fly harmlessly over him. Both men scrabble to their feet, and once more it’s El Hijo who charges… but Mixcoatl is ready for him, popping him up… BEFORE CONNECTING WITH THE KRAVINOFF SPECIAL! He covers him!

THREE!
Dave: And Mixcoatl does it!
Winston Robinson: That was El Hijo’s battle to lose, Dave. He had that won a couple of times, but was too impetuous, too eager, and in the end it just didn’t work out.
Dave: You’re telling me. Mixcoatl really consolidated his position as Lieutenant of El Reinado here and… oh wait, what’s this?
Ratamahatta plays over the PA, as El Reinado steps out in force. Miedo, followed by El Gringo, Las Manos, Los Fantasmas, JUNKETSU, Rosa, Karnaval, Rafa Moserrate, Monsters, Inc., and new initiate El Monstruo, all file out, to fill the stage at the top of the ramp.
Winston Robinson: Oh, this can’t be good.
Miedo looks down on the ring, and starts laughing, a microphone on his suit lapel picking it up, and amplifying it around the arena, causing it to echo in every nook and cranny. The assembled Reinado look down to El Hijo in the ring, and Mixcoatl staggering up the ramp, and just start to applaud. All save Miedo, who just continues to laugh his deep, unnerving chuckle, as we go to copyright.

Win/Win.
Partido Inaugural!
El Romeo vs. Michiko Yamada
I AM THE ANTIPRODUCT
Winner: Michiko Yamada via Pinfall!
CIENCIA EXTRAÑO!
Los Genios Malvados vs. Las Creaciones de los Adversarys
It's alive... It's alive... IT'S ALIVE!
"I've got this burning like my veins are filled with nothing but gasoline...
And with a spark it's gonna be the biggest fire they've ever seen!"
And with a spark it's gonna be the biggest fire they've ever seen!"
"We can light up the night!"
"Maybe you and I...
We can still make it right.
Maybe we can bring back the light..."
We can still make it right.
Maybe we can bring back the light..."
Winner: Las Creaciones de los Adversarys via Pinfall!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Problemas en el Barrio!
El Cid y Maria vs. El Reinado del Terror
Winners: El Cid y Maria via Pinfall!
Colisión de Hermanos!:
Crash Delgado vs. Miedo
Winner: Miedo by Pinfall!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Winston Robinson: Hello fans, whether you’ve been with us since our opening match, or with us since now, we hope you’re ready for great action, as we see a change to our card. The scheduled Supreme XWA Championship defence has been move to a joint Main Event, and now we see two monsters from EXODUS face our resident exoticos.
Dave: I like El Macaw, and Bradley, I do. But them facing Brooks and Vivi? I don’t see this going well for them.
Educación Siniestra!:
Bradley Chadwick y El Macaw vs. Monsters, Inc.
AND I SAY HEEEEEEYYYYYEEEEEHEEEEYYYYYAAAYAYAEYAEYAAAAAAA
I SAID HEY! WHAT’S GOING ON?!?!?!?!
Winner: Bradley Chadwick y El Macaw by Pinfall!
Legión del HELL Campeonato: Héroes y Rebeldes!
High Flying Heroes © vs. Alianza Rebelde
Winner: High Flying Heroes by Pinfall!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Supremo XWA Campeonato: Invitado Especial!
La Sombra Oscura vs. Laurel Anne Hardy ©
Winner: Laurel Anne Hardy by Pinfall!
MIXCOATL!

THREE!
Winner: Mixcoatl by Pinfall!
