As the commercials close, the screen fades to black. For a moment or two, there is only silence and darkness. Suddenly, a deep, rough voice can be heard, speaking in Spanish. His words are subtitled in bold, white text as he speaks.
Voice: Durante demasiado tiempo, hemos sido objeto de burla en la luz.
Subtitle: For too long, we have been mocked in the light.
Voice: Antiguas tradiciones deben morir. Nuevas tradiciones deben prosperar.
Subtitle: Old traditions must die. New traditions will thrive.
Voice: Bajo un nuevo liderazgo, vamos a prosperar. Deje que El Reinado del Terror continuar.
Subtitle: Under new leadership, we will thrive. Let the Reign of Terror continue.
A pinhole of light appears in the centre of the screen, as Down In Mexico by The Coasters starts to play. As the intro progresses, the pinhole swells, until the entire screen is full of white light. After a second or two, the white starts to fade out, being replaced with the interior of the Coliseo Inmortal, the small arena packed to the rafters. As the camera pans the crowd, the attendees roar, a Mexican wave kicking off, which the camera almost seems to ride like a surfboard. The crowd are all in various types of festive dress, a combination of traditional and modern. The camera comes to rest on the broadcast side of the ring, where the show’s commentary teams sit behind two separate tables. As the camera comes to rest on the primary commentary team of Pablo and Sofia, the pair dressed as Santa and a quite provocative Mrs. Claus, we cross fade to another camera, a static one, focused on the English Announce Team. Dave and Winston sit there, Dave surveying the crowd as Winston addresses the camera directly. Dave is dressed as normal in a t-shirt and camo pants, whilst Winston is dressed as one of Santa’s elves, is headset resting on top of his false elf ears.
Winston Robinson: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Tonight, live, from Tijuana, we welcome you to our Lucha Posada! My name is Santa’s Special Helper Winston Robinson, as apparently the Mexican team get dibs on the good costumes, and I’ll be here conducting commentary duties throughout all the action tonight, alongside my broadcast partner, Reindeer Dave.
Dave: I am not wearing the bloody antlers, Winston.
Winston Robinson: But it’s festive!
Dave: Anyway, tonight, we’re looking to bring our year to an end in explosive fashion. El Reinado are going to want to end the year on a high, but the Tecnicos are beginning to get their act together.
Winston Robinson: We’ve got some huge matches on the horizon, as Miedo defends the Rey del HELL championship against Dragón Diabólico, and the High Flying Heroes defend the Legión del HELL championship against not one, but two Reinado teams, including the SSWA Trios Champions, fresh from their championship retention as SSWA Supercard 11!
Dave: Plus some truly huge matches, so we’d best get to it.
Winston Robinson: So first up… wait, what’s this?
A ghostly crescendo starts to build suddenly over the PA, as from out of the back steps the mysterious Agente Naranja. Once more, he is wearing a black suit, with black shirt, and orange tie, in the same shade as the thorn patterning of his otherwise black mask. He stands on top of the entranceway for just a few moments, surveying the crowd as the music breaks into a jangle of dissonant strikes and screeches. A moment later a large cloud of orange smoke erupts from beneath him, totally engulfing him after a few seconds. As the smoke slowly dissipates and Javier Álvarez’s “Metal de Corazones” fades away, it’s clear that he’s now gone.
Dave: Agente Naranja being weird and mysterious again. I have no idea what’s up there. Anyhow, time for our first match, as Romero Antiguas takes on newcomer Maldonado el Magnífico, now.
Esteban Palacios: Introduciendo primero…
Esteban Palacios: Desde San Antonio, Texas, Estados Unidas, y un peso de 229 libras ... ROMERO ANTIGUAS!
Esteban Palacios: Y su oponente, haciendo su debut de HELL...
Mist begins rolling across the stage as "Sabre Dance" starts to stab its way across the speakers. The man known as Maldonado emerges and spreads his arms, then spins to show off his long, sequinned cape bearing his name. With a wave of his arms he produces a bunch of flowers, which he throws towards the sky - only for it to become confetti as it leaves his hand, which drifts down over the audience. Once in the ring he strikes an enigmatic pose, twirling his cape off and letting it flutter down around him.
Esteban Palacios: De Cuidad de México, un peso de 203 libras… MALDONADO EL MAGNÍFICO!
Maldonado took his sweet time getting his cape and hat out of the ring - a fatal mistake against a man as impetuous as Romero Antiguas. The arrogant Texan clobbered Maldonado from behind, wailing on him with punches and forearm shots before spinning him round and suplexing him. Romero dominated from that point, never letting the newcomer even get to his feet. Feeling cocky, Antiguas called for the Martinete early, to a cascade of boos. After sneering at the fans, he turned towards Maldonado and received a blinding spray of confetti to the eyes! Maldonado followed that up with a low blow, nicely hidden from the ref, then turned to the fans and with another handful of confetti produced from nowhere, proclaimed:
Maldonado el Magnífico: ¡Es magia!
Maldonado went after Romero with suplexes and elbow smashes. Finding himself on the back foot all of a sudden, Antiguas dug deep and starting fighting back, and the two men soon began exchanging big powerbombs and backbreakers, interspersed with raked eyes and clawed ears from both parties. Romero turned things around with a fishhook that cost Maldonado his balance, and he took full advantage with strikes to the back of the head following by choking the magician across the middle rope with a knee to the back of the head. The referee warned him, but he didn’t relent - until he was warned with disqualification, at which point Antiguas backed away with his arms raised, trying to calm himself down. Maldonado slowly got to his feet, and as soon as the ref had backed away, Romero jumped back in.
The two brawled into the centre of the ring. Romero pulled Maldonado up for a suplex, but Maldonado broke it. Suddenly Maldonado presented Antiguas with a bunch of flowers! The Texan stopped in his tracks, then saw red and charged again - right into a thrust kick! With Romero dazed and the referee checking on him, Maldonado waved his hands and produced a pair of brass knuckles out of nowhere. He bopped Romero on the chin, and as Romero toppled backwards, Maldonado cupped his palm around his fist, blew into it, and the knucks were gone. He winked, then dropped across Romero and scored the pinfall!
Winston Robinson: A big debut win for Maldonado, even if he did have some, er, magical assistance.
Dave: More debutees now, as the newly signed Her Majesty’s Rejects take on the maniacal geniuses that are Los Genios Malvados.
Winston Robinson: Los Genios are hurting after El Monstruo defected from them in such violent fashion to join El Reinado, they’re looking to regain some face here. But the Australian Kai Cooper and the Irish Darragh O’Connor, each with long histories in independent promotions around the world, are looking to make a big impact here in HELL.
Esteban Palacios: Presentación de primera, ya en el ring, con un peso combinado de 387 libras… Darragh O’Connor… Kai Cooper... HER MAJESTY’S REJECTS!
As the strains of the Sex Pistols’ Anarchy In The UK fade, Darragh and Kai stand in the ring, saluting the cheering crowd, laughing with each other as they make their way to their corner for the match.
Esteban Palacios: Y sus oponentes...
As Laboratory Of Evil begins, the lights in the arena dip. Following a small explosion, smoke rolls out through of the entranceway, followed by Dr. Loco and Dr. Malo, coughing and spluttering. The crowd laughs and boos as the pair stumble down to the ring, engaging in some unheard conversation between each other. Getting to the ring, their conversation gets more heated. Shaking their heads, they separate, each heading to opposite ring posts before climbing up onto the apron, and through the top and middle ropes, Loco awkwardly fitting his large mask through, before retreating to their corner, still arguing about their next move.
Esteban Palacios: Desde el Laboratorio, con un peso combinado de 382 libras… Doctor Loco… Doctor Malo... LOS GENIOS MALVADOS!
The match started fast and furious, as while the two doctors were still bickering over who would start the match up, Darragh charged the pair, taking them down with a Double Lariat. He threw Loco over the top rope, before quickly going to town on Malo, putting on a showcase of his Strong Style technique, a cavalcade of of strikes interlaced with impacts from his impressive array of suplexes, culminating in an impressive Tiger Suplex, before tagging out to Kai, much to the crowd’s delight.
The young antipodean hit the ring in inimitable style, launching onto the fallen scientist with a Springboard Senton Bomb. He followed up with a rapid fire assault, showing why he’s known as the pair’s speed specialist, keeping Malo away from Loco with his own array of suplexes and huracanranas, hitting a massive Reverse Huracanrana, before going for the pin… ONLY FOR LOCO TO BREAK UP THE COUNT!
Darragh hit the ring running, knocking Loco back with a heavy Running Forearm Smash. This allowed Kai the chance to spring to his feet, and as Loco charged back in, the pair took him down with a hard Double Superkick! With this, O’Connor signalled for Cooper to head to the top, whilst he started to drag Malo upright. Keeping an eye on his partner, Darragh signalled for the end, hitting his trademark Straightjacket Gutwrench Piledriver better known as Tor Mór! Waiting only a moment for his partner to roll clear, Kai stood up, and launched himself from the top turnbuckle, hitting a Double Rotation Moonsault, and completing the assault the pair like to term A Violent Act Of Treason I, with Kai holding on for the pinfall!
Dave: I’m not even remotely surprised, a dominant showing from the newcomers over the unbalanced, and unsettled, Los Genios Malvados. With all that’s happened… wait what’s this?
As Her Majesty’s Rejects clear the ring, and make their way up the ramp laughing and smiling with the crowd, the gargantuan form of El Monstruo suddenly appears from in the crowd, vaulting the barrier, and heading straight into the ring, where the two doctors are starting to recover. Before they can react, the beast takes the pair down with a huge Double Clothesline, before wrapping his gargantuan fists around the pair’s necks, hauling them to their feet, then up into the air and down to the mat with a huge Double Chokeslam, roaring with satisfaction after doing so. Looking at the two fallen scientists, he delivers a huge boot to the head of Malo, before storming out the ring, and up the recently vacated ramp to the entranceway.
Winston Robinson: It seems to me like El Monstruo isn’t done with Los Genios Malvados yet. That was brutal!
Dave: I’ve come to expect no less of him. We’re heading to commercial now, but when we come back, we’re seeing more action in the rivalry developing between the fledgling pairing of El Cid and Maria, and JUNKETSU and Rosa Rodríguez of El Reinado, as Cid takes on Rosa, next!
Winston Robinson: And we’re back, and with no time to waste, here we go!
Control Machete's "Pesada" hits the speakers and El Cid strides onstage. He spreads his arms for a moment then starts the walk to ringside, taking time to slap hands with the fans. He slides under the ropes and runs to a corner, climbs the turnbuckles, and raises his arms.
Esteban Palacios: De Sacramento, peso 235 libras, EL CID!
He heads to each other corner in a random order and repeats the gesture before dropping to the middle of the ring and psyching himself up for his match.
Esteban Palacios: Y representando El Reinado del Terror...
As En La Nada begins playing through the PA, Rosa enters the arena. She poses a moment at the top of the entranceway, washed in red light, flaunting her toned body.
Esteban Palacios: De Tijuana y con un peso de 120 libras… ROSA RODRÍGUEZ!
After a few moments, she continues down to the ring, laughing all the while, before climbing the ring steps, and entering the ring between the top and middle ropes, making the move almost torturously show as she accentuates her ass. She slowly walks to the centre of the ring, replicates her earlier sexy pose, before blowing off the audience, and retreating to her corner.
The rivals wasted no time in taking it right to each other, El Cid launching punches and grab attempts, Rosa throwing kicks and trying to stay one step ahead. It wasn’t long before they collided, and El Cid opened the bidding with an exploder suplex. Rosa came back with an axe kick, and the two rapidly progressed to just beating the hell out of each other, El Cid throwing himself into his movements like a freight train, Rodríguez zipping around him like a sculptor whittling down a statue. They were evenly matched, and each took some big impacts from the other early on. Neither was shy about bending the rules like pushing counts, either.
Eventually El Cid clotheslined Rosa right over the top to ringside, where he proceeded to join her. In his element, the former streetfighter took it to Rosa with a scoop slam across the ring steps, an apron bomb, and a running spinebuster into the guardrail. As the count approached 20, El Cid rolled Rosa back into the ring to break it - then pulled her right back out again to inflict more damage. To her credit Rodríguez refused to stay down, and managed to fight her way back into things until she gained the upper hand by catching a punch and smashing El Cid’s elbow into the ringpost. She worked over the arm mercilessly with wrenches and twists, even going so far as to pin El Cid’s elbow against the apron and whack it with repeated headbutts. Rosa manoeuvred him back into the ring, where she made the first cover attempt of the match, only to get a two count.
Rosa continued to go after El Cid’s elbow by stretching out the ligaments and then stomping it against the mat with a vicious, seductive sneer. But though El Cid was rolling around in pain, he refused to submit. Inspired by his resilience, the audience began to chant loudly in his favour, and he managed to work his way back into the match. After using his wooden head and iron fists to gain a foothold, El Cid finally roared into comeback mode with a huge flapjack snake-eyes. With Rosa down in the corner he unleashed a mudhole, then dragged her back to the middle for a series of jarring suplexes. Finally he pulled her over his shoulders for the Arizona Slam - but his arm gave way! El Cid’s arm couldn’t take the strain of lifting and it jolted asleep - which was all Rosa needed to drop and flip him off his feet with a cartwheel powerbomb! Veneno Pétalo and that was the three!
As El Cid pushes himself up, Rosa drops to a three point stance, measuring him with dark intentions clearly in mind. But before she can do anything, there’s a cry from the stage, where Maria runs out - and is immediately dropped with a facebreaker knee smash from JUNKETSU!
Ikiryo, Mano Derecha and Mano Izquierda melt from the shadows and start dragging Maria towards the ring while JUNKETSU joins Rosa in preventing El Cid from rising. The five Reinados circle their opponents…
A huge cheer goes up as High Flying Heroes hit the scene! White Phoenix, El Héroe Azul and El Buho surprise the rudos and manage to drive them from the ring! Ikiryo and Los Manos look ready to go after their scheduled opponents in tonight’s main event right now, but Rosa waves them back. High Flying Heroes storm around the ring making sure El Reinado retreat before tending to El Cid and Maria.
Dave: A lure from El Reinado to take out both Maria and El Cid. And if not for High Flying Heroes, it could’ve been even worse.
Winston Robinson: No doubt. Well, next up we’ve got El Gringo, Michiko Yamada and Reina Galáctica in threeway action… and wait, I think we’ve got more on this backstage.
The camera shifts to the backstage area, where Michiko Yamada can be seen walking down a corridor, obviously trying to keep herself warm for her match. As he walks, however, the large figure of El Gringo steps out, blocking her path.
El Gringo: Alright there? I saw what you did last week. I was impressed.
Michiko just sort of looks at him, vacantly.
El Gringo: You know, we’re looking for capable, strong competitors, those with a taste for success in the Reinado, and…
A cough breaks his flow, as the camera pans to reveal another figure having come up from behind Michiko.
Reina Galáctica: Oh husband, whatever do you think you are doing here?
El Gringo: What needs to be done, wife. As I keep on telling you.
Reina Galáctica: Blindly following my hermano idiota is not “what needs to be done”. Besides, I’m sure Yamada-san wouldn’t be interested. I’ve no doubt she opposes the tyranny my hermano represents, right?
The pair look to Michiko, expectantly. She looks between the two of them, a look of disdain on her face, before she just pushes past Gringo, heading up the corridor alone.
El Gringo: Well that was rude.
Reina Galáctica: Quite.
The pair look the picture of husband and wife a moment, before they realise they’ve been civil to one another. The stare at each other, before both raise their hands in frustration, and turning back the way they came, and the camera returns to ringside.
Dave: It seems both La Alianza and El Reinado are trying to recruit Michiko. And who could blame them? She’d be a valuable asset to either side.
Winston Robinson: Michiko is a feared warrior on the puro circuit, and she’s looking to quickly make a name for herself here in lucha too. With the factions courting her attention, perhaps we’ll see some interesting tactics in this match, as each flatter for her attention?
The lights in the arena shut off, drawing a momentary, anticipatory murmur from the audience, before two emphatic drum beat fill the PA system, accompanied by a pair of strobe light flashes. Strapping Young Lad’s “Antiproduct” cues up, two more drum beats hitting before the song kicks off, again accompanied by the flashing strobes. The tempo of the song quickens, and a voice mumbles something behind the aggressive guitar playing.
The lights return to full power as the first verse of the song kicks in, but for a moment, the audience is left waiting.
Esteban Palacios: La siguiente lucha es una triple amenaza! Introduciendo primero, de Saku, Japón...
Eventually, the curtain’s pushed aside, and from behind it comes Michiko Yamada. She stops at the head of the ramp, turning to glance at either side of the stage, almost expressionless, undoing the one button on her robe before pacing her way down to the ring in no particular hurry. She pauses at the edge of the ring apron, shrugging the robe off her shoulders before sliding under the bottom rope, moving to the nearest corner and just settling back against it, awaiting the bell.
Esteban Palacios: MICHIKO YAMADA!
Michiko glances to the entranceway with no more than the most passing interest as Space Jam starts belting out over the PA system.
Esteban Palacios: Su primer oponente...
El Gringo enters the arena to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Ignoring them, he makes his way down to the ring, his head nodding in time to the music. As he gets to the ring, he pulls himself up to the apron, before taking hold of the top rope and vaulting into the ring. Spreading his arms wide, he turns slowly in the ring, basking in the boos of the crowd.
Esteban Palacios: De Santa Ana, California, Estados Unidos, EL GRINGO!
Gringo and Yamada stare at each other as they wait for the final entrant in the match. As the disco beat starts for Guerra de la Galaxias begins, smoke starts to flood the entranceway.
Esteban Palacios: Y su oponente...
As the horns begin to sound, out from the smoke steps Reina Galáctica, lasers shooting out from the floor behind her, cutting through the smoke. As the music continues, she starts to run down the ramp, clapping her hands above her head, and encouraging the audience to do the same. She quickly climbs up the ring steps, and straight up the ring post, until she is stood at the top of it, pumping her fist to the music as the crowd continues to clap.
Esteban Palacios: De Tijuana, REINA GALÁCTICA!
With a flourish, she somersaults off the turnbuckle, landing with her arms spread in a Y shape above her head. She and her husband exchange a glance with multiple, complicated meanings before both turning their attention to Michiko as she swaggers to the middle of the ring.
As the bell rang, Michiko looked from one opponent to the other seeing which of them would dare to come at her first. Reina glanced between her husband and their shared foe tonight and offered up a three-way knuckle lock. Slowly, the two rudos brought their hands out to meet hers…
Michiko turned and kicked El Gringo in the gut, doubling him over, then used her wristlock on Reina to flip her away. The interplanetary luchadora kipped back up quickly, but she ran straight into a big kick to the face from Yamada who, a moment later, cracked El Gringo’s skull into the canvas with a DDT. Michiko flipped onto her stomach and slid away across the ring, just watching to see what her opponents would do. Reina was up first and crossed to Michiko, who rose to meet her in a three point stance. A brief staredown ensued, until El Gringo got to his feet. With a curt smile Michiko slid back out of the ring to rest against the apron and watch the husband and wife.
But Reina wasn’t having that! She flew over the top rope in a slingshot crossbody, wiping Michiko out. She threw her back in the ring where Gringo met Yamada with a deadlift gutwrench suplex, then slid in herself. Wife and husband spent a couple of minutes double teaming Michiko, then tossed her back out of the ring before finally, after a brief and tense embrace, squaring up to each other. They started out slowly and tentatively, each clearly not wanting to unleash their full might on the other, and the next couple of minutes saw a lot of throws, chain wrestling and other minimum-pain moves. But they gradually got more and more rough with each other, and many fans started to wonder if they would really go at it full tilt, until...
Michiko came back into it! She yanked Reina’s legs out from under her as she ran the ropes, then slid in to boot the masked face of El Gringo, who’d dropped in preparation for a back body drop. She turned back to the rising Reina and pulled her into a butterfly, then suplexed her right into El Gringo! Yamada pounded on the bearded American’s cranium with knees before rolling him out of the ring to focus on Reina. The pace stepped up with the heavyweight out of the match, as Yamada tried to control Reina with grapples and throws while Reina tried to build up the momentum and space to get into high gear. However, a miscalculation on a whisper in the wind attempt left her in the tree of wow. But with the crowd chanting for her, she found the will to headbutt Yamada in the sternum to block the hesitation dropkick, then backroll over her and over again into a deadlift German suplex! She bridged, and as Michiko kicked out, the fans audibly groaned. Both women pounced up but this time Reina was quicker on the draw, catching Yamada with a backhand chop and then a reverse STO.
Reina went to the top - and was shoved off by her husband! He took her place in the match, punishing Michiko with bone-rattling suplexes and running strikes, never letting her catch her breath. After a painful couple of minutes, he lifted her up in the air to deliver his Gringo Bomb… Michiko fought it hard, raining down elbows and knees at his head. She managed to drop behind him, pull him into an inverted facelock backbreaker, then sprint past him into the ropes and come back with a running knee to the head! She covered - but Reina pulled her off! Reina flipped Yamada into the Calabozo backbreaker, then kicked her out under the bottom rope. Once again we were left with wife facing husband, and once again, they started to get stiffer and stiffer with each other, and less and less hesitant, the longer they danced around each other.
Reina took the advantage when she countered a Gringo Rack into a double knee facebreaker. She quickly followed it up with Lluvia de Estrellas, her standing shooting star press - only to be caught off guard by Michiko! Michiko locked Reina’s arms and spun her into a blisteringly fast Eye of Hell, then rolled across Gringo and hooked a leg… she got the three count!
Michiko rolls out of the ring and backs away, raising her arm in victory as she studies the husband and wife coming to in the ring.
Winston Robinson: Another win for Michiko Yamada, and it seems like neither El Reinado nor La Alianza Rebelde will be adding The Anti-Product to their ranks.
Dave: I wonder how things will be in the Gringo-Galáctica household tonight...
Winston Robinson: I’m sure neither Reina nor El Gringo will be in a celebrating mood tonight. And speaking of La Alianza Rebelde, Django and Thunder take on The Fightin’ Flanagans after the break, including the HELL debut of the middle Flanagan brother, Tristan!
Winston Robinson: Hello fans, whether you’ve been with us since our opening match, or with us since now, we hope you’re ready for great action. Before we continue, however, catch up with what happened backstage in the break.
The camera comes up in one of the backstage areas. On his own, sat on a bench, we see El Hijo del Espíritu Santo. It’s difficult to tell, what with the mask and bodysuit, but he seems… despondent. His sister, Reina Galáctica, enters.
Reina Galáctica: Hijo, mi hermano… you can not stay like this. You can not let them beat you down. With our padre gone, you must lead us against Miedo. You must…
?? ?: Shut up!
She stops, looking affronted at the brash individual who has entered.
Crash Delgado: What do you know? You still sleep with the enemy!
Reina Galáctica Idiota! If you refer to my husband…
Crash Delgado: Of course I mean that dog! He yaps at our brother’s heels!
Reina Galáctica: He is his own man. We do not act as one!
Crash Delgado: Says you!
Reina Galáctica: And what would you have us do, Crash? Charge in and get destroyed? As that approach has worked so well for you and your “gang”.
Crash Delgado: Screw you, bitch! Always with your greater than thou routine! El Hijo will stand with us!
Reina Galáctica: What? With you as a leader? Don’t make me laugh!
Crash Delgado: We’ll soon see whose methods are best.
With this Crash turns and storms out the room. With a scream of frustration, Reina does the same, leaving El Hijo alone, slowly shaking his head.
Dave: Egos coming into play with the Rodriguez family. Unless they can get on the same page, they’ll never be able to offer a decent resistance to the Reinado. But what Crash said is going to come to pass right now, as Reina Galáctica’s La Alianza Rebelde face off against the Fightin’ Flanagans of Crash’s Los Máquinas de Guerra in what is sure to be a physical match.
Esteban Palacios: Introducir el primer equipo...
As "Bastard's Way" by Far From Finished starts playing, out runs Fraser Flanagan in his trunks and t-shirt, slapping hands and singing along to the song at the top of his lungs. The new face of Tristan Flanagan emerges behind him, wasting rather less energy as he just stomps to the ring making sure his wrist tape is secure. Taking the rear is Crash, who looks to be in a black mood following his argument with his sister.
Esteban Palacios: De Belfast, Irlanda, que pesa 509 libras juntos y acompañado por Crash Delgado… Tristan y Fraser… THE FIGHTIN’! FLANAGANS!
Fraser encourages the crowd to join him, jumping up against the barricade to try and start a mosh pit in the crowd. He finally gets to the ring and throws his fist in the air, banging his head to the music until it plays out. Tristan just takes their corner and starts shadowboxing with his head bowed, and Crash starts pacing at ringside with his shoulders bunched.
Esteban Palacios: Y su oponentes…
As the disco beat for "Guerra de la Galaxias" begins, smoke starts to flood the entranceway. As the horns begin to sound, out from the smoke steps Reina Galáctica, lasers shooting out from the floor behind her, cutting through the smoke. Two more shapes emerge from the smoke behind her: Django and Thunder. As the music continues, La Alianza Rebelde heads down the ramp, Reina clapping her hands above her head, and encouraging the audience to do the same while Sanshiro Sasaki, trailing the group, accents her claps with claps of his own. As the group heads to the ring, Django and Thunder talk over strategy. All four of them climb onto the apron and then step through the ropes together, then cross to their corner; Reina mounts the turnbuckles and pumps her fists, while Django and Thunder stand on the mat beneath her, the former with his arms raised, the latter with his folded. In front of them, Sanshiro drops to one knee, arms swirling as he encourages the fans to cheer.
Esteban Palacios: Con un peso combinado de 464 libras, acompañado por la Reina Galáctica y Sanshiro Sasaki ... Django y Thunder ... LA ALIANZA REBELDE!
The two teams of bruisers went straight at it hard, Fraser and Django opening things against each other with pummelling fists. Thunder and Tristan both spurred their partners on from the apron; Crash and Reina both seemed to be miles away by contrast, zoning in and out of the fight. Django and Thunder made use of quick tags early, displaying a marked improvement in teamwork and coordination since the last time we saw them, and they kept Fraser from his brother and wore him down until he was glassy-eyed.
But the teamwork still wasn’t perfect and a miscommunication was all Fraser needed. He knocked Thunder off the apron and flapjacked Django, then launched himself at Tristan. The crowd roared as the debutant hit the ring, eager to see what he would bring. They got the demonstration they wanted as he threw punch after punch into Django, capped off with a discus lariat. The Irishmen took control of the match, treating Django to the same double beatdowns that Django and Thunder had administered to Fraser. Eventually Thunder had enough and hit the ring to break up a pinfall attempt, and both teams came face to face. But after a staredown they both regrouped, and from that point, things went several minutes of fast tags on both sides and moderately respectful - if heavy as hell - brawling.
That was until Thunder made a blind tag on Django as the latter was grappling with Fraser, and caught Fraser with a high boot as he hit the ring. Tristan, having missed the tag, leapt into the fray and ploughed Thunder down, unleashing with rights and lefts. Fraser and Django both piled in and the ref tried in vain to restore order. Reina and Crash both began barking managerial advice from ringside, but between Crash’s foul mood and Tristan’s lack of ring awareness, they missed each other. Tristan turned to Crash to ask him what he was saying, and Django and Thunder bundled him out of the ring before putting Fraser away with a combination Thundering Storm avalanche German into The Move With No Name crucifix powerbomb for the win. Crash turned away and slammed a furious fist against the guardrail as the pin was counted, then sighed and helped Tristan to his feet.
Winston Robinson: A promising debut from Tristan Flanagan, but his wrestling inexperience possibly costing him a win against Django and Thunder, who continue to work better together each time we see them.
Dave: And give an assist to Reina Galáctica, who’s had an even worse night than Crash, but unlike her brother managed to keep her head clear and direct her allies when they needed it. Next up, we have a match demanded by both participants! After a match at Oscuridad Cae, Simon Raines, the manager of Monsters, Inc., attacked El Macaw. Now, in his first return to the ring in… a long time, these two meet, as El Macaw looks for revenge.
Winston Robinson: And we have word from Miedo coming through right now, this will be a number one contender’s match! If Macaw wins, he and Bradley Chadwick are next in line for a chance at the Legión del HELL Campeonato; if Raines wins, that shot goes to Monsters, Inc.
As the opening lyrics of "Take Me To Church" by Hozier fill the arena, Simon Raines emerges from the back, shaking his head ruefully at the jeers cascading down upon him from the HELL faithful. Trailing behind him are Vivi and Justin Brooks.
Esteban Palacios: Representando El Reinado del Terror y Monsters, Inc… acompañado por Justin Brooks y Misress Vivi...
All business, the former manager of Mistress Vivi rolls in under the bottom rope, settling back into a neutral corner, loosening out his arms and legs in anticipation of the task at hand while his follow monsters flank his corner at ringside.
Esteban Palacios: De New Orleans, Louisiana, Estados Unidos, y un peso de 207 libras… SIMON RAINES! Y su oponente...
The lights fade in the arena for a moment, multiple colored spotlights showing up as the PA system picks up immediately from the 32 second mark of “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes, a figure slowly stepping forward from the curtains, his silhouette partly covered by a pair of huge macaw wings until he’s in full view of the spotlights, revealing himself to be none other than “El Macaw” as the crowd cheers appropriately as they take a look at his visage. Behind him applauding (it’s hard to tell whether he’s applauding Macaw or the crowd) is Bradley Chadwick.
Esteban Palacios: Acompañado por Bradley Chadwick, de San Diego, California, Estados Unidos y un peso de 190 libras… EL! MACAW!
It does not take long for El Macaw to walk down the ramp, calling himself things like a “firestarter, baby” and telling the world he’s ready to bring the fun straight down to HELL as he then hops up the apron and enters the ring carefully...the spotlights coming down to the center of the ring as a familiar line to meme enthusiasts everywhere hits the PA system…
AND I SAY HEEEEEEYYYYYEEEEEHEEEEYYYYYAAAYAYAEYAEYAAAAAAA
I SAID HEY! WHAT’S GOING ON?!?!?!?!
At the cue, El Macaw spreads his wings wide to the awe of the crowd while singing the chorus of the song in full and leading the crowd along to it, getting even bigger cheers from them before the lights return to normal and “What’s Up” fades from the PA system while El Macaw carefully removes his macaw wings, passing them along to Bradley on the outside and preparing for his match.
The rookie Macaw came at Raines full on, bombarding the returning relative veteran with arm drags, scoop slams, and back roundhouses to stop him from gaining a mental foothold. But in his inexperience he let openings slip through, and it wasn’t long before Raines latched onto one of them, swept Macaw’s arm aside as the flamboyant youngster went for a chop, and crushed his chest with a fist to the now-exposed ribs. With the wind jettisoned from him, Macaw folded, and Simon’s comeback began. What followed was a striking masterclass as every time El Macaw tried to do something to get himself back in it, from taking a breather to throwing a kick to running the ropes, Simon had the right jab or kick ready to deny it. Bradley cheered on his friend from ringside, but it wasn’t enough to break the Monster’s control.
Finally Raines called for the Demonslayer Lariat and pulled El Macaw in for the hammerlock. El Macaw countered by grabbing Simon around the waist! That took Raines by surprise just long enough for Macaw to take him over with a northern lights suplex. El Macaw didn’t waste a second with his opponent down, knowing he might not get another opportunity. He brought the fight more directly this time, with elbows, headbutts and dropkicks to stagger the man in maroon. When he finally had Simon down and staying down, he paused to consider his options. Someone in the audience whistled, and on instinct Macaw turned to give them a dance move.
Simon kipped up! Simon kipped up - but Macaw managed to block his attack with a hiptoss. Simon landed on his feet but Macaw caught him with a standing dropkick on the chin that sent him stumbling back and left draped in the corner. El Macaw leapt in for Vuelo del Macaw - but before he could start singing he found himself caught, Raines pushing forward and lifting him in a powerbomb position! Instead however Simon threw Macaw into the air and caught him with an uppercut on the way down. He shook his head and pulled Macaw up into the hammerlock, span him - again Macaw went for the front waistlock. Knowing it was coming this time, Simon pulled the hands away before Macaw could execute the northern lights - so instead El Macaw rolled backwards, pulling Simon over with him and rolling him through into an inverse prawn cradle! One… two… three!
El Macaw bursts up and slides out of the ring - or at least tries to, but finds himself on course with the hulking form of Justin Brooks. He scrambles backwards and bumps into something. He turns around to find himself face to face with Simon, now back on his feet. Mistress Vivi slides into the ring on one side of El Macaw while JB climbs in behind him. The rookie’s colour drains as he realises the trouble he’s in… until Bradley Chadwick bursts into the ring, grabs Macaw around the waist and drags him out as fast as he can! Vivi, Brooks and Raines cross to the side of the ring menacingly, but just watch as Chadwick and Macaw scarper, knowing that Macaw has still got the message.
Winston Robinson: Another upset from El Macaw and Bradley Chadwick, and they’re number one contenders to the Legión del HELL Campeonato thanks to it to boot!
Dave: And yet I can’t help feeling El Reinado and Monsters, Inc are only just starting in their plans for those two. After the break we’ll be back with Miedo defending El Rey del HELL Campeonato against Dragón Diabólico, who last week won this shot as his prize from the war between Los Genios Malvados and The Adversarys.
Winston Robinson: Welcome back folks. Before we get underway, more backstage activity from during the commercial break!
In one of the dressing rooms, we find the High Flying Heroes, each quietly preparing for their upcoming title defence against the Reinado. The tension in the room is almost palpable, and when there’s a knock at the door, El Buho positively jumps out of his skins, before coming to a rest against a locker, clutching at his heart. Shaking his head, the mysterious White Phoenix opens the door, revealing the pairing of Maria and El Cid. There’s a moment of silence as White Phoenix stands immobile in the doorway.
El Cid: Relajarse. It’s us.
There’s a cough from behind White Phoenix.
El Héroe Azul: Stand aside, my comrade. Let them enter.
With a slight head nod, White Phoenix stands aside, letting the pair enter. El Héroe Azul sits on a bench in the middle of the room, treating his hands with some rosin.
El Héroe Azul: Que? Well? What do you want?
Maria: Senhor Azul… Thank you for earlier.
The grizzled veteran waves his hand dismissively.
El Héroe Azul: We are heroes. It’s what we do.
El Cid steps forward.
El Cid: Then stand with us! Fight the Reinado alongside us!
There’s an outright laugh from the corner of the room.
El Buho: Us against the Reinado? Yeah. Right.
Maria: What?
El Buho: You heard! Fighting the Reinado is suicide. It’s taking everything we have to defend these titles against them. We can’t risk pissing them off at us too. Let them be pissed with El Hijo. We don’t need that.
El Cid angrily steps forward.
El Cid: Coward!
White Phoenix quickly steps up to cut him off.
El Cid: Oh, you want to go esé?
El Buho quickly hops the bench, but before anything else can happen, El Héroe Azul stands.
El Héroe Azul: ENOUGH!
The other four stop in their tracks. El Héroe Azul regards them all a moment, before looking down to the belt at his feet.
El Héroe Azul: The Reinado… they are too strong. We could not hope to defeat them. We must fight the battles as they come to us, not seek out more. I’m sorry, but we can not join you.
Visibly disappointed, Maria turns, and starts to leave.
Maria: I… I see.
El Cid, however, stays, to deliver one last parting shot.
El Cid: Tch… Some heroes.
He turns, slamming the door behind him. White Phoenix and El Buho just shake their heads at the departing duo, whilst El Héroe Azul stares at the belt at his feet, as the camera fades to black.
Dave: El Cid and Maria looking for help, but it seems the High Flying Heroes want none of it. But none of that matters, as now, we’re prepared to see two of the biggest monsters in this company come face to face as Miedo, el Comisionado and the leader of El Reinado defends his Rey title against the fierce Dragón Diabólico!
Esteban Palacios: Presentamos el primer, el retador…
The lights dim as DRAGONBORN begins to play and build up, Doktor Logan Adversary appears on the stage. He pump his fist in time with the opening shouts, getting far more into it than is needed. As the first shouts of "DOVAHKIIN!" begin, the lights flash back on to reveal Dragón standing on the top of the stage. He begins to stride to the ring, Logan following while clearly shouting the lyrics and continuing to pump his fist. Dragon slides cleanly under the ropes and immediately mounts a turnbuckle. He faces the crowd for a moment before letting out a mighty roar.
Esteban Palacios: Creado en el Laboratorio de Gran Ciencia, con un peso de 207 libras… DRAGÓN DIABÓLICO! Y, el campeón…
As the drum intro to Cucarachas Enojadas blasts over the PA system, Miedo appears in the entranceway, bathed in a dark green light. He stands there as the intro plays out, surveying the crowd, bathing in their boos and jeers. As the music picks up in the tempo, he heads straight for the ring, nodding his head in time to the music. As he reaches the apron, he speeds up, sliding in under the bottom rope, before springing back up to his feet with a roar. He gazes at the crowd all around him, before raising his left fist high in the air. He stays put in the middle of the ring, not retreating to his corner, waiting for the match to begin.
Esteban Palacios: Sentencia sobre Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, que pesa 245 libras… MIEDO!
To the absolute surprise of nobody whatsoever, this match went big, quick, with the two powerhouses quickly rocking each other with punches, elbows, kicks and lariats. The surprise of many, however, it was Dragón that landed the first significant impact, hitting a Dropkick landing both feet to Miedo’s jaw, staggering the fearsome powerhouse, before following up with a Spear taking Miedo down!
The crowd was stunned, but as Dragón hoisted Miedo to his feet, the Comisionado fought back, countering a suplex attempt with a Brainbuster. Miedo then proceeded to use his weight to keep the edge over Dragón, just keeping ahead as the pair exchanged DDTs, Suplexes and Powerslams.
A major shift in momentum came when Miedo went for a Running Lariat on a dazed Dragón, but the nimbler challenger ducked it, hooking the arm as he slipped behind Miedo before hitting a huge Dragón Suplex! He held on for the pin, only getting a two count. Dragón roared with frustration, before pulling Miedo up… and getting a Headbutt, rapidly followed by a Military Press Slam for his trouble! Miedo went back on the attack with a sequence of heavy hitting slams and kicks. He set Dragón up, lifted him for the Temiendo Este… ONLY FOR DRAGÓN TO HIT A HURACANRANA!
With Logan frantically shouting for Dragón to capitalise, the beast landed a series of stomps to Miedo’s recently spiked head, before heading to the corner post. With Logan’s encouragement ringing in his ears, he took to the top turnbuckle, roared, and leapt off, with a Dragón’s Flight… ONLY FOR MIEDO TO SIT UP! Miedo sat bolt upright, letting Dragón hit nothing but mat behind him, his full momentum channelled straight into his chest. Not even waiting a moment, Miedo stood, grabbing Dragón by the throat, dragging him up to his feet, Dragón still feebly trying to fight back regardless of the pain in his chest, but even that disappeared after Miedo connected with a Garra Miedo for the three count.
Miedo groggily stands, first angrily looking down to the impertinent Dragón, then to the still shouting Logan Adversary on the outside. He makes a step towards the Doktor… only to suddenly stop, looking up the ramp, where the mysterious figure of Agente Naranja has reappeared, slowly shaking his head. With a snarl, Miedo grabs his title from the official, pointing to it, before slowly making his way to the ramp. As he exits the ring, the orange smoke cloud reappears, dissipating as Miedo reaches it, leaving a remarkable lack of Agente. Not even breaking his stride, he marches through the clinging remnants of orange smoke and out of the arena.
Dave: Now that was a match! I really thought DRAGON SATAN had it for a minute… But, well… Miedo.
Winston Robinson: And what the hell is going on with Agente Naranja? What is all this smoke and mirrors routine about?
Dave: No time to worry about that! Logan has roused DRAGON SATAN, and herded him from the ring, as we see Crash Delgado take on La Sombra Oscura.
Winston Robinson: Both these men have experienced hard fought matches with Miedo recently, both could really do with a win.
Esteban Palacios: Presentamos el primer...
As Public Image Ltd's "The Order Of Death" creeps over the speakers, the arena darkens dramatically. The black form of La Sombra Oscura skulks out and begins his slow walk to the ring. Ignoring the fans completely, he climbs onto the apron and steps through the ropes, and calmly takes his corner while he waits for the bell, displaying no emotion but patience.
Esteban Palacios: Provenientes de la Cuarta Generación, y un peso de 215 libras… LA SOMBRA OSCURA! Y su oponente…
As Not Today bursts out over the PA, Crash comes charging through the entranceway, to a barrage of cheers from the crowd. At the top of the ramp, he removes his t-shirt, throwing it into the crowd, before sprinting down to the ring at full speed. He leaps up to the apron in a single bound, before spinning on the ball of his foot, hooking one leg over the middle ring, before spreading his arms wide beckoning the crowd to chant for him. After headbanging to his theme on the apron a little, he finally steps into the ring between the top and middle ropes, spinning as he does, calling for the crowd to cheer him, before getting in La Sombra Oscura’s face.
Esteban Palacios: Montar de Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, que pesa 230 libras… CRASH DELGADO!
Both men started off brawling at high speed, La Sombra mimicking Crash’s high impact, high speed style from the off. The strategy failed to pay of for La Sombra, as he also mimicked Crash’s willingness to take blows, without any of Delgado’s trademark durability. As La Sombra’s constitution started to wear down, Delgado took him down with a Crash Kick.
Crash’s willingness to fight got the better of him, however, falling victim to a Roll Up as he went to hoist La Sombra up for a surprised two count! La Sombra quickly got to his feet, and started taking advantage of Crash’s frustration, taking him over with a series of Arm Drags and Hip Tosses. Crash managed to turn the tide with a savage Elbow, sending La Sombra running to the corner, following up into a Superkick, followed by La Sombra hitting a Sombra Crashnado for another two count.
La Sombra picked Crash up, only for Crash to take him over with a Snap Suplex! He sent La Sombra running with an Irish Whip, only for La Sombra to vault over the waiting Back Body Drop, rebounding off the ropes, and connecting with a Sombra Crash Kick, sending Crash reeling, letting La Sombra follow up with a Sombra Crash Landing, before rolling Delgado up for the three count, quickly escaping the ring as Crash kicks out a couple of microseconds after the three.
Winston Robinson: We’re lucky to have a competitor like La Sombra Oscura on our books, it’s so rare you get to see a wrestler fight against themselves.
Dave: And another loss caps off a terrible night for Crash Delgado. We’ve got one more commercial break, and then the big one, with the High Flying Heroes defending their title against not one, but two Reinado teams in Triple Trios action!
Winston Robinson: Ladies and gentlemen, it’s main event time! High Flying Heroes defend their titles against not one but two Reinado teams: Los Manos and Ikiryo, and the SSWA Trios Champions Ingrid Storm, Holly Chainsaw and Reinado lieutenant Mixcoatl!
Dave: If this goes the way we’re all expecting it to, they may regret turning down El Cid and Maria’s offer of an alliance...
Esteban Palacios: Presentamos el primer…
As Ratamahatta begins to play, both Mano Izquierda and Mano Derecha walk out from the entranceway. They each lift a single arm aloft (Derecha his right, Izquierda his left) to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Slowly both brothers nod, and sprint to the ring, both sliding in under the bottom rope. They circle the ring, shouting at and threatening the crowd, as the figure of Ikiryo appears from beneath it, crawling out from under the apron. Ikiryo just stands there, unmoving, awaiting the start of the match, as the twins join him, discussing their match quickly around the back of the impassive Ikiyro as they wait.
Esteban Palacios: En representación del Reinado, con un peso de 560 libras combinado… Ikiryo… Mano Derecha… Mano Izquierda… EL REINADO DEL TERROR! Y sus oponentes....
Ratamahatta bursts out the PA once more, as Mixcoatl enters the arena, flanked on either side by Holly Chainsaw and Ingrid Storm, both Mixcoatl and Holly wear their SSWA Trios championships about their waists, whilst Ingrid carries JUNKETSU’s over her shoulder. The trio stand a moment, ignoring the boos of the Mexican crowd, before heading down to the ring, in unison. Rather than entering the ring, they circumnavigate it, approaching the other Reinado team. Holly and Ingrid eye the other threesome suspiciously, whilst Mixcoatl has a high speed conversation in Mexican with Las Manos.
Esteban Palacios: En representación del Reinado, y uniéndose a nosotros desde SSWA, con un peso de 505 libras combinado… los SSWA Trios Campeóns… Mixcoatl… Holly Chainsaw… Ingrid Storm… EL REINADO DEL TERROR! Y los campeóns...
The sweeping theme of The Avengers plays over the PA system as El Héroe Azul leads out his teammates, White Phoenix and El Buho. The trio head down the aisle, playing to the fans a little bit as they reach the ring. Upon entering, each man takes to a turnbuckle, though El Héroe Azul receives the largest reaction of the three by far when he poses.
Esteban Palacios: Con un peso de 637 lbs combinado… sus campeones de la Legión… El Héroe Azul… El Buho… White Phoenix… LOS HIGH FLYING HEROES!
Winston Robinson: To say the High Flying Heroes have an uphill struggle is not even the right word.
Dave: Especially when you consider that Rafa Monserrate has been positioned as the official for this match… wait here we go.
The Heroes slowly retreat to the centre of the ring, as the combined Reinado teams circle the ring. After a few tense moments, the Reinado charges, all sliding in under the bottoms ropes from every angle. The Heroes immediately go on the attack, laying out stomps and forearms, the but the numbers quickly wear them down, as Ikiryo and Mixcoatl team to take El Héroe, Ingrid and Holly go to town on El Buho, and Las Manos begin working on White Phoenix. The three pairs each take their respective partners down, delivering hard stomps to each of them. Ingrid and Holly hoist El Buho upright, before they both lift him overhead, and send him over the top rope with a huge Military Press Slam to the outside! As they back up to their corner, Las Manos drag White Phoenix upright, laying a lighting fast series of chops to his chest with their signature arms, forcing him to slump into the ropes. They each take a few steps back, swapping sides as they go, before charging forward and striking Phoenix with the Manos de la Muerte, sending Phoenix reeling over the top rope, before they too retreat to their corner. In the centre of the ring, Ikiryo and Mixcoatl are manhandling El Héroe upright. They each take an arm, and look to Double Irish Whip him across the ring… BUT HE BLOCKS IT! He pulls both back into him, before taking them both over with a Double Japanese Arm Drag!
Winston Robinson: The Reinado working effectively to dismantle the Heroes offence here, but El Héroe is fighting back!
El Héroe quickly gets to his feet, and as Ikiryo gets up, El Héroe takes him down with a hard right! Mixcoatl gets up, he gets a hard left! El Héroe keeps swinging, taking the pair down like he’s playing Whack-a-Mole, continuously landing punch after punch. Eventually, Ikiryo and Mixcoatl get the wherewithal to roll away, distancing themselves from the raging Héroe, and his furious fists. With a nod from Mixcoatl, the pair charges, going for Simultaneous Lariats, but at the last moment El Héroe steps back, catching the back of each of his opponents’ heads with his hands, and forcing their heads together with force!
Dave: El Reinado might have the numbers advantage, but it’s not going to be anything El Héroe hasn’t seen before. You don’t get the amount of years in this business he has without picking up a few tricks.
As the pair before him each drop to a knee, he hits a Front Dropkick, landing one boot cleanly in each of his opponents’ faces, dropping them both to the mat like they’ve taken a shotgun blast from both barrels. Not wasting a moment, he delivers a massive stomp to the head of Mixcoatl, before manhandling Ikiryo up into an Abdominal Stretch Cradle!
Winston Robinson: El Héroe going for the pinfall early here, trying to end everything before his team get too beaten on.
ONE
TWO
Mixcoatl breaks up the pin with a Double Axe Handle! Before El Héroe can get away, Mixcoatl lays in a series of hard stomps, keeping him contained whilst Ikiryo gets upright. Mixcoatl stops a moment, ordering Ikiryo to go and tag out, before laying into El Héroe more.
Dave: Mixcoatl exerting his authority as Miedo’s lieutenant, co-ordinating both Reinado teams out here.
Ikiryo pauses only a moment, before retreating to his corner and tagging in Mano Derecha, in perhaps a frustrated manner. Locking an Arm Wrench on El Héroe, Mixcoatl drags him upright, and holds him in place, as Derecha charges forward and takes him down with a huge Right-Armed Lariat. With El Héroe down, Mixcoatl takes the opportunity to tag in Ingrid, giving the German a few hushed instructions under his breath. She nods, smiles, and enters the ring, spinning El Héroe around as Derecha stands him up, hooks a Gutwrench and plants him with a huge Black Forest DDT. As she goes for the pin, Derecha stops her, quickly shouting something at her in Mexican. She shrugs, and goes to continue the pin. Derecha physically stops her, pointing to El Héroe, seemingly shouting that he should take the pin.
Winston Robinson: Uh oh. Trouble in paradise.
Ingrid gets to her feet, shouting something in German back to Derecha, Shouting, he shoves her. Spitting at him, she shoves back, much harder, forcing him back. He moves to charge, but a shout from Mixcoatl stops them. They look down, just in time to see El Héroe crawl out of the ring. They turn, just in time to see White Phoenix Springboard off the top rope, going for a Springboard Double Lariat… ONLY TO BE INTERCEPTED BY A KRISTALLNACHT FROM INGRID!
Dave: That huge European Uppercut from Ingrid, perfectly timed to intercept flying opponents, is one of the most dangerous moves in the young German’s movebook.
Before Ingrid can follow up, Derecha gets in her face once more. Shouting at them, Mixcoatl summons the pair back to his corner. A heated conversation takes place in English, only small bits of it picked up by the microphones at ringside.
Mixcoatl: Do not fight each other. Do not break up each other’s pins. Whoever lands the move gets the pin. Understand?
Frustrated, the pair nod.
Winson Robinson: Mixcoatl reading the riot act to the Reinado members… and HERE COMES WHITE PHOENIX!
White Phoenix is back on his feet and charging, leaping up and hitting Ingrid, Derecha and Mixcoatl with a huge Flying Crossbody, taking Derecha and Ingrid over the top rope, and Mixcoatl off the apron, along with himself! Holly, who had seen the assault coming and dropped off the apron, slides in under the bottom rope, as Mano Izquierda also steps through the ropes, both approaching the waiting El Buho. It’s Izquierda who charges first, going for a Left Handed Lariat, only to be taken down by a Drop Toe Hold! Buho bounces up to his feet, just in time to take a charging Chainsaw over with a Hip Toss. Izquierda starts to get back up, but a Thrust Kick to the jaw sends him back down. El Buho spins, and seeing Holly getting upright starts winding up his right arm, the crowd chanting along with each rotation. With 10, Holly turns, and Buho swings, landing a Punky Punch straight to the chest of Holly… to no effect. She looks down confused a moment, then up to Buho, who just shrugs, as Holly charges and leaps, landing both knees into Buho’s face with a Chainsaw Burst.
Dave: Why Buho even bothers with that punch I have no idea.
Buho struggles up, but Holly positions himself behind him, and before he can work out what’s going on hits him with a Ball Buster!
Winston Robinson: OH MY GOD! That Crotch Clutch Suplex… I hope Buho wasn’t planning on having kids anytime soon. How’s she get away with that?
Referee Rafa Monserrate just laughs in the ring.
Winston Robinson: Oh.
She quickly goes for the pin.

Shoulder up! Holly gets up on her knees, and gestures for Izquierda to have a go. Nodding, he runs to the ropes, as Holly rolls away, and leaping to the ropes, he hits his Luna Nueva springboard moonsault! He holds on for the pin!
ONE
TW-
Kickout!
Winston Robinson: I have no idea where El Buho is getting all this from.
Each taking an arm, Holly and Izquierda drag Buho to his feet, and send him running to the ropes. Before he hits them though, he hits the mat, and slides out under the bottom rope. They quickly turn, looking for the new opponent, just in time to see White Phoenix springboard in with a Springboard Twisting European Uppercut… WITH HOLLY PUSHING IZQUIERDA IN FRONT OF HER TO TAKE THE BLOW!
Dave: They might be working together, but it seems they certainly ain’t above sacrificing each other.
She runs to the ropes, behind White Phoenix, and as he gets upright after taking down Izquierda she leaps on the return, taking him down with a huge Toxic Shock!
Winston Robinson: That Leaping Inverted Headlock Backbreaker… oh my god. She nearly broke him in two!
She goes for the pin.
ONE
TWO
Kickout!
Shaking his head, Izquierda has got upright, and made his way over to the other side of the ring, tagging in Ikiryo. Mixcoatl calls for Holly to hold Phoenix in place, which she does, seemingly with some reluctance. She does so, and Ikiryo charges, going for a Shachihoko, but at the last moment Phoenix drops forward, ducking the Single Leg High Knee and pulling Holly into the firing line! She takes the Knee at full blast to the face, sending her back and over the top rope! Ikiryo spares no time checking on his fallen comrade, but White Phoenix is faster, hitting a knee to the ghost’s gut, before taking him up and hitting him with a White Out! Rather than going for the pin, he intercepts Ingrid as she comes into the ring with a Jumping Double Knee Lift, before sliding out under the bottom rope and taking hold of her foot as El Héroe climbs in! He charges at Ikiryo, taking him down as he starts to get up with a Viciouskick! He goes for the pin! However, Rafa Monserrate is responding in comically slow motion! Ingrid stomps on White Phoenix’s face, forcing him to let go.
ONE
Ingrid charges forward.
TWO
Ingrid breaks up the pin count with a Running Senton.
Winston Robinson: Rafa Monserrate calling things nice and fair, I see.
Rafa wipes the sweat from his brow, as the crowd boos him. Ingrid drags El Héroe upright, hitting him with a combination of Knife Edged Chops, driving him into the corner. Once in position, she whips him across the ring, to the opposite corner, as Ikiryo jumps up and charges after him, hitting him with a massive Shachihoko as he hits the turnbuckle! He signals for Ingrid to join him, and she does, both wrestlers picking him up, and placing him up on the top turnbuckle, sat facing the crowd. Following him up, Ingrid hooks her legs over the top ropes, applies a waistlock… before wrenching backwards, hitting her More German Than German Suplex, dropping El Héroe on his head! As she hangs, Ikiryo quickly leaps onto the top turnbuckle, between her legs, and eyeing up El Héroe leaps off, landing the Goryo! He holds on for the pin, as Rafa slides in, and starts a fast count.
ONE
TWO
El Héroe’s foot gets on the rope! Rafa sees it… and shrugs!
THREE!
White Phoenix and El Buho quickly hit the ring to protest… but are quickly cut off by Mano Derecha, Mano Izquierda, Mixcoatl and Holly Chainsaw! They make short work of taking out the interlopers, Holly and Mixcoatl taking down White Phoenix with a Double Dropkick, and Las Manos turning El Buho inside out with a Manos de la Muerte! As the sextet in the ring start stomping down the High Flying Heroes, Rafa takes the mic from Esteban, and announces the result.
Rafa Monserrate: Sus ganadores y NUEVO campeones de la Legión… EL REINADO DEL TERROR!
With that, Ratamahatta starts to play over the PA system, and out from the back file the Reinado. All of the Reinado.
In the lead, Miedo marches out, flanked either side by Justin Brooks and El Monstruo. As these three march down, the rest flow round them, charging down to the ring: JUNKETSU, Rosa Rodríguez, Karnaval, Mistress Vivi, Simon Raines and El Gringo, all sprinting down at full speed, and joining in the beatdown of the High Flying Heroes. As the three enter the ring, Mixcoatl peels off from the rest of the group, replacing El Monstruo at Miedo’s side. One by one, he effortlessly lifts the battered forms of the High Flying Heroes above his head, before throwing them out of the ring like lawn darts. The ring cleared, JUNKETSU joins her SSWA comrades, the four holding the SSWA Trios Titles above their heads, Ikiryo and Las Manos holding the Legión trophy above their heads, and Miedo holding the Rey belt high in the air. As they do so… looking out to the crowd surrounding them… Holy by Mariachi El Bronx starts to play over the PA system. A massive cloud of white smoke fills the entranceway, as the collected Reinado all turn to face it. Blinding light suddenly filters through the smoke, silhouetting a lone figure behind it. Slowly, the figure starts stepping through it, the assembled Reinado all taking a fighting stance. As he steps out, the smoke behind him suddenly turns orange, revealing none other than Agente Naranja! He stops for a moment, slowly bringing a microphone to his mouth. As Holy starts to build in volume, he simply says three words.
Agente Naranja: Él está aquí.
There’s an audible gasp from the crowd.
Dave: Oi, translator boy, do your thing.
Winston Robinson: He… he just said, “he’s here.” But I don’t get…
The arena lights suddenly snap out, all except for four spotlights, one at each corner of the arena, all pointing to the lighting gantry high above the ring… WHERE THE FIGURE OF ESPÍRITU SANTO STANDS!
The arena lights slowly return, as at the top of the ramp, La Alianza Rebelde have assembled alongside Agente Naranja… ALONG WITH EL HIJO DEL ESPÍRITU SANTO! As glares are locked across the arena, El Cid and Maria hop the barriers, and help the beaten Heroes over the opposite barriers and away.
Winston Robinson: Señor Rodríguez is back!
Dave: No, son, that ain’t Diego. That’s Espíritu Santo, and trust me when I tell you there’s a massive difference.
Winston Robinson: It seems like Agente Naranja is working with him… and so maybe are La Alianza and El Hijo! Finally, the war seems like it’s going to be brought to El Reinado!
As the standoff continues, El Reinado in the ring, the assembled Tecnicos at the top of the ramp, and Espíritu Santo highlighted high in the rafters, the cameras start to fade, copyright appearing…
BEFORE A DRIVING BASS LINE SUDDENLY CUTS THE TENSION! The Reinado are confused, and so are the Tecnicos, as I Will Deny by the Dwarves kicks in over the PA system! Spotlights search the crowd and the arena, searching for some indication about what the intrusion is about. As they search, they all reach the rear of the arena, on the far side from the ramp, and lock onto a lone figure, standing on top of the rear crowd barrier, wearing a leather jacket, fist held high in the air. On the back of the jacket, there are two words inscribed.
El Orfanato.
As the assembled masses turn to stare at Robbie Rodríguez, and the crowd starts murmuring, the image finally fades out to copyright.
Voice: Durante demasiado tiempo, hemos sido objeto de burla en la luz.

Partido Inaugural!
Maldonado el Magnífico vs. Romero Antiguas
Winner: Maldonado el Magnífico via Pinfall!
Ciencia Rechazada!
Her Majesty’s Rejects vs. Los Genios Malvados
Winner:Her Majesty’s Rejects via Pinfall!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Winston Robinson: And we’re back, and with no time to waste, here we go!
Rosa Urbana!
El Cid vs. Rosa Rodríguez
Winners: Rosa Rodríguez via Pinfall!
Conjunto De Tres!:
El Gringo vs. Michiko Yamada vs. Reina Galáctica
I AM THE ANTIPRODUCT
Winner: Michiko Yamada by Pinfall!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Corazones Rebeldes!:
:La Alianza Rebelde vs. The Fightin’ Flanagans
Winner: La Alianza Rebelde by Pinfall!
Amor Podrido!
El Macaw vs. Simon Raines
Winner: El Macaw by Pinfall!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Rey del HELL Campeonato - El Premio!:
Dragón Diabólico vs. Miedo
Winner: Miedo by Pinfall!
Máquina de Sombra!
Crash Delgado vs. La Sombra Oscura
Esteban Palacios: Presentamos el primer...
This is what you want...
...this is what you get.
This is what you want...
...this is what you get.
Winner: La Sombra Oscura by Pinfall!
COMMERCIAL BREAK

TW-

El Héroe’s foot gets on the rope! Rafa sees it… and shrugs!
THREE!
Winner: El Reinado del Terror by Pinfall!
