Character Info
Name: Ryuji Kamigawa
Height: 6'5 1/2"
Weight: 312 lbs.
Hometown: Osaka, Japan
Alignment: Tweener/True Neutral
Entrance Music: "Cry For The Dark" by Galneryus
Entrance Description: "Cry For The Dark" by Galneryus hits the speakers of the RIMAC Arena, heralding the arrival of EXODUS Pro's hired gun, Ryuji Kamigawa. As per usual, he marches out from the back down the aisle in his signature white tuxedo and black bowtie, dark sunglasses on his face. He pays no attention to the mixed reaction of the crowd, nor, for that matter, even his own ring introduction, opting to simply slide underneath the bottom ring rope and pop up in a neutral corner, cracking his knuckles to prepare for the task at hand.
Physical Appearance: Ryuji Kamigawa has short cropped black hair, and a matching goatee. He's built thick, but lacks the definition of most bodybuilder sorts. His is the sort of body one gets from doing strenuous work rather than lifting weighs in the gym. He looks reasonably plain other than his size and goatee, though its his ring attire that tends to make him stand out.
(PB will be Shinya Hashimoto, though he really looks like a bastard cross between Hashimoto and Masahiro Chono)
Ring Attire: Ryuji ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wrestles in the same attire, which consists of a white tuxedo with black dress shoes and a black bow-tie. His right thumb is taped, largely for the purpose of delivering the Kabuki-cho Lullaby. He also ALWAYS is found in a pair of black sunglasses. Yes, a-la Big Bubba Rogers in late 80s NWA, he wrestles in these at all times. Taking them off of him is rumored to make him very, VERY angry.

Gimmick: Japanese hired gun. Kamigawa makes no secret of the fact that, while he has his own ambitions in EXODUS, he is willing to hire out his services to the highest bidder on a nightly basis. This comes with rules, which he will generally explain to those who want to hire him as part of negotiations.Ryuji can be found backstage in a small room in the RIMAC Arena which a shockingly extensive bar set up with a few stools -- generally, this is where he gets dressed for shows and also conducts any business with potential clients. As a bonus for those who hire him, clients get to drink for free at the bar for the tenure of the night's agreement.
Personality: Generally, Ryuji Kamigawa is a very neutral person. He prefers to stay to himself -- though his career as a hired gun in the wrestling world of course limits this. He tends to be very easygoing and respectful to people unless they cross lines. He'll talk to anyone, face or heel alike -- after all, everyone's a potential customer.
He's not a bad person, generally -- but if the money's right, he will do things that could easily be considered bad. His moral code provides limits to this, but it's unlikely the fans will take well to him, especially at first, simply because he's more likely to end up working for the less savory characters of EXODUS.
Even so, if he feels his work is excessively upsetting a balance of power (of any sort, current or future), he will be hesitant to continue working for the winning side.
List up to three strengths of your character; they can be in-ring related, personality related, whatever you think helps define your character:
1. Balls to the wall offense. Kamigawa comes ROARING out of the gate and tries to put all the pressure on his opposition with his brand of fast-paced, high impact action. It's not something people expect from a man of his size, and it can and does catch people off guard.
2. Variety of finishers. Excepting a submission, Kamigawa's got a power move, a strike, and an aerial tactic in his arsenal, giving him a wide array of tools to use to polish off the competition.
3. Fearlessness. Kamigawa will take on any fight, no matter the odds, if the price or his mindset is right. Intimidating this Japanese super-heavyweight is nigh-impossible. He'll likely pay the physical price, but so too will his opposition.
List up to three weaknesses of your character:
1. Endurance. He's a big dude, and his bum-rush strategy isn't for show. If you can take him past fifteen minutes, he can and will tire, and an experienced opponent can then pick him apart.
2. Lack of technical know-how. Kamigawa is a trained pro wrestler, but lacks any amateur background whatsoever. A lot of the building blocks are lost on him, and a good technician can take him to the mat and teach him some painful lessons.
3. Hired Gun. Being essentially a hitman for hire means he's always involved in everyone else's fight. It stands to reason that before long, he will have as many enemies as anyone in EXODUS can boast.
Biography:
Born in Osaka, Japan, much of Ryuji Kamigawa's history is simply unknown. The earliest that he can be traced to is 2006, when at the age of 25 he applied for work as a bouncer in an Osaka hostess club known as Club Dekedan.
Ryuji soon rose to head bouncer due to his penchant for solving problems non-violently -- while also being able to handle more violent customers with relative ease. He soon befriended many of the hostesses working at Dekedan, the management, and several customers -- one of whom turned out to be an active pro wrestler who saw Kamigawa's size and offered to take the big man under his wing in 2009.
Kamigawa graduated from wrestling training two years later, and spent time working on small scale Japanese indies before getting the call from American promotion Global Championship Wrestling. A combination of a serious injury and the promotion folding sent Kamigawa back to Japan, resuming his previous work as a bouncer, and continuing to wrestling on weekends once healed.
The owner of Club Dekedan died in late 2012 -- and, to Ryuji's shock, left the club to Kamigawa in his will. Most of the latter half of 2012 was spent by Kamigawa putting together a braintrust to help him run one of Osaka's most popular hostess clubs.
With Club Dekedan stabilized, Ryuji put the day-to-day operations of the club in the hands of his close confidants before embarking on a return journey to America, to discuss potential deals to bring the hostess club concept to Japanese-American communities in California. While there, he discovered the existance of EXODUS Pro, and decided that he could kill two birds with one stone, renewing his career while maintaining his primary line of work at the same time.
And so Ryuji Kamigawa continues his fascinating journey, from bouncer to hostess club owner, and, he hopes, from wrestling greenhorn to future champion.
Wrestling Style: Fast-paced, high-impact Japanese-influenced powerhouse.
