It had been a few days since the humiliation Daisuke Iwakuma had suffered at the hands of Justin Brooks. Having gone weeks without suffering a defeat, since the night he fell at the hands of now-EXODUS Pro Heavyweight Champion Fiona Rourke, Iwakuma had proven to be unstoppable. LEGION had made its point, destroying everyone in their path and some who weren't. People had come to fear their sight, their name.
Now Daisuke had returned to his home of Ellum, Texas to stew on Justin Brooks having pinned him. The man who walked out and abandoned EXODUS previously had come back and not only declared himself an enemy of LEGION, but he had decided to team with Steve Lenton to dare take the EXODUS Pro Tag Team Titles from Kameron Chase and him. Now, in Texas with his personal assistant Audrey Lloris and a man he had imported from his native Japan, Daisuke and his small entourage had been sitting around with another young woman.
"It's time for expansion," this other young woman said, Daisuke nodding with her. All the while, Lloris was taking notes on her iPad, as if this was some sort of corporate meeting that needed minutes and an agenda.
"The wheels are in motion. My brother cements his allegiance to us by wearing his new face. He will take us to greater places in other countries soon enough. Kliff and Magnus have started the global message, he will finish it," Daisuke told the woman.
"And what of you?" she asked. She wasn't dumb though. The entire time, Daisuke kept a hand under the table, rubbing the inner thigh of Lloris. She had been a good servant, this was her reward.
"Audrey intercepted a message EXODUS Pro's affiliate sent. True Honor Wrestling seeks people to come compete in an invitational for their tag team titles. Before Jonathan Collins and Rufus Frost could ink one of their new teams, I took care of it. Kameron Chase and I have already signed the contracts and will compete," he told the new party. All the while, Audrey sunk into her chair, accepting her reward.
"I can assure you we will conceivably have two new chapters set up by June. With my brother leading the charge for one, I will spearhead the one in True Honor Wrestling. Should Kameron and I win, we will be obligated to sign a contract. With that in mind, I am sure we will find those that...believe," Daisuke said, the other Japanese man nodding, glancing back at him.
"Have no worries," the other man said.
"Is he The Dream Catcher?" the evil woman asked, Daisuke nodding.
"In the flesh," Daisuke confirmed.
"As I live and breathe..."
The hotel room was quiet. The meeting had adjourned and everyone had gone their separate ways, leaving Daisuke alone with Audrey. She sat on the bed, eyes closed as she could feel his breath on her neck, whispering.
"I can see you finally took off the cross," he whispered.
"I can't wear something I no longer believe in," she whispered, leaning her head back just to be closer to his voice, just to drown in the way he sounded.
"That's the problem. Most people want to display something to proclaim faith. I have always preferred action," he said, sliding a hand up the tank top she had been wearing. A few kisses to her neck and she let out a pleasured purr, a sign that she had been all too happy to take what he was giving. "I don't want your loyalty and faith to be an accessory," he told her, smirking as he let her lean back and enjoy the pleasure of him.
"Understood. Though, I was always told to display your faith," she said. "Every Sunday growing up," Audrey told him.
"Then display it with loyalty. You need not wear a symbol when I know that you would die for me," he said with a smirk.
Nothing more needed to be said, they were people of action.
The scene is set, a dimly lit portion of a room that looks to be in a nightclub. It often happens this way for a man like Daisuke Iwakuma for those that recognize the man that is one half of EXODUS Pro's tag team champions, the Ninth Gate. With a smirk on his face and a hand on his shoulder of a beautiful female, he nods as he starts to speak, perfect English with no accent from the Japanese man.
"Greetings, audience. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Daisuke Iwakuma. I am currently one half of the EXODUS Pro Tag Team champions, The Ninth Gate. My partner is the infamous and quite legendary Kameron Chase. As a tag team, we have been impossible to stop. EXODUS Pro has launched every team they have at us, and are now throwing together makeshift tag teams in the hopes to dethrone us."
"However, I come to you to tonight not as an EXODUS Pro wrestler, but as a person attempting to claim your Tag Team Titles. True Honor Wrestling has been an affiliate with the company for weeks, and yet the best they've done is pointed Reverend Jerry Matthews into position. For all his posturing and pondering, he has done nothing except get himself humiliated at the hands of our Heavyweight Champion Fiona Rourke, who cannot even stand up to LEGION on her own."
The very idea almost brings a chuckle to Daisuke's face as his assistant, Audrey Lloris, starts to rub his shoulders while he speaks.
"If this is the best your company brings to EXODUS or to me as an athlete, I have no doubt both Mr. Chase and I will find this a walk in the park. First off, you are going to learn Kameron and I are an exceptional alliance. We have shared goals. Though Kameron may not be as...in line...with the beliefs I have as I'd like, we have the goal of being the most dominant tag team in professional wrestling. Our bond is made of leather and gold, just the way we'd prefer it. That alone makes us stronger and more dominant than any other team."
"Not to mention, unlike other teams stepping in, we are walking into this match already established and successful. As the holders of the EXODUS Pro Tag Team Titles, we have proven ourselves. By surviving one tag team gauntlet already, by defending them once already. We are coming into this match as battle tested victors. What I see on the list of teams already mentioned is not a group I can imagine on the same level as us already. That will be your downfall and the key to our glorious victory."
He chuckles and leans back, placing his feet up on the table he sits by, a smirk on his face while he continues to look at the camera.
"True Honor Wrestling seems to me like it will be another place for me to conquer. Another place for me to raise the flag of LEGION and claim as my own. From top to bottom, your roster will learn to fear and respect The Ninth Gate and LEGION. Who knows? Maybe some of your THW faithful will learn to embrace our...values."
"I hear about certain names in this invitational, but I don't know if they mean anything to me. Should I fear Leather and Lace? Should I be worried about any group of The Storm? Maybe I should worry about Joshua Curtis and his mystery partner. No, I will not do these things. They are ignorant to me, and I will return it in kind. Though they say it is bliss, I find that ignorance leads me to fear nothing. And even if I knew, I would still not fear. I am Daisuke Iwakuma, The Perfect Evil. Soon, THW will bow to me as EXODUS Pro Wrestling does."
After a moment, Daisuke moves his feet and leans closer toward the camera, hands folded on the table as if he's leaning in to make a deal with whoever he's speaking with, but the sinister grin on the face of "The Perfect Evil" is as clear as it has been the entire time.
"This company has been around for a few years. However, through the course of its four years in existence, I doubt that it has come across a more clear and present danger than the one LEGION and the Ninth Gate are. We are not creatures of myth and fable, but we are real. Very real. We are not terrorists, but harbingers of doom and what is to come. You will come to learn we are everything we claim to be and then some."
"And you will learn that although I am one of LEGION...we are many."
"So come this...Annual Annihilation, bring me your people. If they are as frail and weak as the brother of Jakob Alexander, I will find them easy to conquer. If they are as proud yet weak as Jerry Matthews, they will fall in line. True Honor Wrestling is just a new land for LEGION to conquer and control, and there is no one to stop us."
"Trust me."
Fade.
